Happy Father’s Day!
By John Lei*1

Dear Dad,

Happy Father’s Day! I would like to sincerely thank you for the many years you invested in me as my father and mentor. I appreciate your love for our family and your diligence and efforts to provide for our needs. I pray that God grant you a fabulous day to celebrate this special occasion. You deserve the highest honor and admiration for being a great Dad!*2

I have clearly seen confirmations that the Spirit of God touched your heart in the past year. God truly has answered our prayers. I often give praise and thanks to our Lord for your transformation and share this wonderful testimony with people around me. Please continue to spend time with Mom to pray and read the Bible together.

I am very proud that you are my father. You are a family and community leader who is intelligent, productive, focused, visionary, admirable and successful. You have impacted many lives in positive ways, including Mom, Mike and myself. Mere words cannot adequately explain your influence and accomplishments. Besides the many books you have written, your Presidency in the Washington Business & Technology Institute, Professorship in Taiwan, Doctoral degree, numerous governmental awards/honors, and contribution to the community, you have successfully held our family together and raised two God-serving sons. Congratulations! God has really blessed us through you, from our humble beginnings at the old Pepperdine campus to His abundant provisions to our family today.

I will always remember the times you encourage me to study hard and get good grades. You also supported me to pursue a business-related career. I am very thankful since I know your caring played a role in me obtaining the good job I have right now. I will also always remember your prayers to God during my last trip home. Your prayers are sincere, personal, heart-felt -- truly like you are having a conversation with God. I want to learn from that. Our family now is getting closer and closer together. There is nothing better than all four of us praying, studying the Bible, and go to church together in one heart.

Even though this is a simple letter, I hope it will bring you happiness. I will leave you with these words of blessings from Bible:

“The righteous man leads a blameless life, blessed are his children after him” – Proverbs 20:7

I love you, Dad. Happy Father’s Day!

Your loving son,*3

John

How To Love Your Mother
John 19:25-27

How precious is the mother's reward of seeing her children grow to be godly men or women, honoring God with their time, talent, and treasure. Is there any better evidence of a godly mother's love and sacrifice? It becomes so easy in America to use Mother's Day as a quick remedy to attempt to salve all the shortcomings in the mother-child relationship. But it takes more than cards, calls, and flowers to properly love a mother. When is the last time you hugged your mother? When is the last time you planted a kiss on her soft cheek and told her, sincerely told her, that you love her? There are many ways to express love and gratitude to a mother, but there is no better way to reward a godly mother than to grow to become the follower of Christ she long envisioned. Mothers sometimes are not only the sole source of all cooking and home maintenance in a child's life, but many also serve as breadwinners. Sometimes mothers ! are the only reason some children ever see the inside of a church. It is wonderful to set aside a day especially for remembering our mothers, but it pleases the Lord when we show them constant love. One of the last things Christ did before His death was make sure His mother was well cared for by the apostle John. Is there any more touching evidence of what a mother should mean?

Mike came home for Christmas on December 20, 2004. John was here on Wednesday, December 22. Two friends of them came to have Christmas holidays with our family on December 23, 2004.

We had a "Foi Gou" (Fresh food to put to the large bowl upon a stove by the dinning people) at the Chinese Peng Restaurant in Las Vegas in the evening on December 23, 2004. John was the host.

A dinner party was held by Dr. and Mrs. Tony Lei to welcome Miss Shirley Huang and Mr. Peter Hong from San Francisco, John from San Jose, California, and Mike from Dallas, Texas at the Seafood Buffet Restaurant in Golden Nugget Casino and Hotel in Las Vegas on Friday, December 24, 2004. Peter and Shirley wrote their e-mail addresses as [peterckhong@gmail.com], and [hshuang@uci.edu]. Judy and Tony brought Shirley to a beautiful room of Golden Nugget Casino and Hotel for her holidays in Las Vegas after the dinner. The room with a king bed was seserved by them for her about five days ago.

A thanks card with the present was sent by Miss Sirley Huang and Mr. Peter Hong. "Dear Dr. and Mrs. Tony Lei, Thank you so much for welcoming Peter and I into your home. May God bless your whole family. ( a smiling face) :) Merry Christmas!," wrote Shirley and Peter.

Dear Dad,

I read your article ("The American dream is for everybody"). It's very good. My roommate read your articles and he suggested if you write a paper on "How to survive in Las Vegas without working". Many many people will come to your website to read it. Just something to think about. :)

Have a wonderful day. Remember the rain is a reminder that God pours his blessings on us. It is also symbolic of God's cleansing. The rain cleanses the earth like God cleanses us of our sins. It can also be judgement like
the flood when the rain never stops. But, we know now the rain will stop because God said He will never again flood the earth like in Noah's time.

Mike

brothers and sisters
Here's is a short article for you all

Too Busy for a Friend...

One day a teacher asked her students to list the names of the other students in the room on two sheets of paper, leaving a space between each name. Then she told them to think of the nicest thing they could say about each of their classmates and write it down.It took the remainder of the class period to finish their assignment, and as the students left the room, each one handed in the papers.

That Saturday, the teacher wrote down the name of each student on a separate sheet of paper, and listed what everyone else had said about that individual.

On Monday she gave each student his or her list. Before long, the entire class was smiling. "Really?"she heard whispered. "I never knew that I meant anything to anyone!" and, "I didn't know others liked me so much." were most of the comments.
No one ever mentioned those papers in class again. She never knew if they discussed them after class or with their parents, but it didn't matter. The exercise had accomplished its purpose. The students were happy with
themselves and one another. That group of students moved on.

Several years later, one of the students was killed in Viet Nam and his teacher attended the funeral of that special student. She had never seen a serviceman in a military coffin before. He looked so handsome, so mature.
The church was packed with his friends. One by one those who loved him took a last walk by the coffin. The teacher was the last one to bless the coffin. As she stood there, one of the soldiers who acted as pallbearer came up to her. "Were you Mark's math teacher?" he asked. She nodded: "yes." Then he said:
"Mark talked about you a lot." After the funeral, most of Mark's former classmates
went together to a luncheon. Mark's mother and father were there, obviously waiting to speak with his teacher."We want to show you something," his father said, taking a wallet out of his pocket. "They found this on Mark when he was killed. We thought you might recognize it." Opening the billfold, he carefully removed two worn pieces of notebook paper that had obviously been taped, folded and refolded many times. The teacher knew without looking that the papers were the ones on which she had listed all the good things each of Mark's classmates had said about him."Thank you so much for doing that," Mark's mother said. "As you can see, Mark treasured it."All of Mark's former classmates started to gather around. Charlie smiled rather sheepishly and said, "I still have my list. It's in the top drawer of my desk at home."Chuck's wife said, "Chuck asked me to put his in our wedding album."
"I have mine too," Marilyn said. "It's in my diary."Then Vicki, another classmate, reached into her pocketbook, took out her wallet and showed her worn and frazzled list to the group. "I carry this with me at all times," Vicki said and without batting an eyelash, she continued: "I think we all saved our
lists."That's when the teacher finally sat down and cried. She cried for Mark and for all his friends who would never see him again.

The density of people in society is so thick that we forget that life will end one day. And we don't know when that one day will be.
So please, tell the people you love and care for, that they are special and important. Tell them, before it is too late.

And One Way To Accomplish This Is: Forward this message on. If you do not send it, you will have, once again passed up the wonderful opportunity to do something nice and beautiful. If you've received this, it is because someone cares for you and it means there is probably at least someone for whom you care.

If you're "too busy" to take those few minutes right now to forward this message on, would this be the VERY first time you didn't do that little thing that would make a difference in your relationships?

DEAR DAD,

On (t)his Father's Day, I have many things to be thankful for and to be proud about.*2

I'm thankful I have a Dad who really cares about his family, a Dad who cares about the welfare of his children, a Dad who understands the importance of authority and love in a family, a Dad who cares about the financial stability of a family, a Dad who knows marriage is for a life-time, a Dad who treasures and loves his wife, a Dad who thinks more about the family than about his own career, a Dad who don't push his own agenda on his children, a Dad who values the freedom and individuality of his children, a Dad who looks for the best in his children, a Dad who fears God, a Dad who can laugh at his own mistakes, a Dad who can share his true feelings to the family, a Dad who spends more on other members in the family than himself, a Dad who values and treasures the love and words of his sons, and a humble Dad who can listen to the words of advice from his sons.

I'm proud to have a Dad who kept the family together for over 30 years, a Dad who was a pioneer in business management in Taiwan, a Dad who wrote many books on management and leadership, a Dad who worked as a professor in higher education, a Dad who moved his family to a new country and raised 2 successful sons, a Dad who have many honors and accomplishments in education, academics, and community service, a Dad who loves God, a Dad who continues to model hardwork and perserverance, a Dad who doesn't give up when he meets challenges, a Dad who treats his family well, a Dad who is a leader with confidence and knowledge, a Dad who can be comfortable sitting with high level officials as well as talking with a waiter, a Dad who can continue to write articles everyday, and a Dad who can see how to build people up.

Dad, God knows your heart and efforts. May He reward you richly and help you to continue to increase in your love for Him and other people.*3

With lots of love and thanks from your son,

Mike

Blessings to You On Your Birthday --- Such a special day...
By Mike Lei*1

Dear Mom,

This is a little card to say Happy Birthday and I Love you.*2 You have always been the model of the woman I will look for. I hope to find someone who will truly be the helper, supporter, and encourager to the husband. Someone who puts down her own dreams and wishes to make it a family dream and invest in her busband and children. One friend is going to marry a girl. She told him,"You serve God, and I will serve you". This is very biblical. It reminds me of how Dad's career really became successful when he married you. I also hope to marry someone who will be a partner in serving God the same way you were a partner to help Dad be successful. God will and rewarded you. See Proverbs 31:30-31 "Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Give her the reward she has earned, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate." God remembers and we remember too.*3

Love Son Mike Lei

A golden word of inspiration
By GSBPA of WBTI*1

U. S. Senator John Ensign's great-grandfather first came to Nevada almost a hundred years ago as a miner and labored in its towns. This respectable man worked hard to provide for his family and teach his children the value of hard work, integrity, and independence. "The significance of life is to build and educate the continuous lives of the universe," said Dr. Tony Lei, President of Washington Business and Technology Institute (WBTI). People came to here even not being able for all of them to realize their "American dream," but eventurely they could teach and help their children accomplish their contributions for our country.
