Vice-Chair Erin Kenny and District Judge Mark Denton Made Heighlight of FACC Event By Tiffany Chang
The Formal Dinner Induction and Awards Night was held by Fil-Am Chamber of Commerce of Las Vegas at Monte Carlo Resort on December 5, 1999. The Event was co-sponsored by Clark County and Washington Business & Technology Institute. Clark County Vice-Chair Erin Kenny and Nevada District Judge Mark Denton were invited by Dr. Tony Lei to present awards and induce directors. Dr. Tony Lei was presented with a Proclamation by Vice-Chair Erin Kenny from Clark County. The Proclamation was signed and given by the Honorable Clark County Board of Commissioners: Chairman Bruce L. Woodbury, Vice-Chair Erin Kenny, Commissioners Yvonne Atkinson Gates, Mary J. Kinkaid, Lance M. Malone, Myrna Williams, and Dario Herrara. It stated: "WHEREAS, it is the policy and pleasure of the Board of County Commissioners to honor and recognize those extraordinary individuals, group, or programs, which enrich the lives of many in our community; and
"WHEREAS, Dr. Tony T. Lei, Ed. D., a resident of Clark County for more than six years, has served our community through a variety of venues including: President of the Washington Business and Technology Institute; Adviser for Information Integration Inc.; Director for the South Shores Community Association; Chairman of the Chinese American Academic Association; Member of the Las Vegas Senior Citizens' Advisory Board; First Advisor for Seniors United; and Member of U. S. Representative Shelley Berkley's Seniors Advisory Board.
"WHEREAS, Dr. Lei has given freely of his time, energy, knowledge, and talents, working on project and events that contribute to the quality of life in Clark County and has dedicated himself to public service to not only the Asian Community but to all citizens; and
"NOW, THEREFORE, WE, the Board of County Communioners, on this occasion, December 5, 1999, in celebration and recognition of his special accomplishments, do hereby recognize and honor

"and urge all citizens to join us in wishing him a successful and bright future."
Judge Denton swore in the 11 Officers, 11 Directors, and President Noli Dazo of FACCLV. Outstanding awardees presented by Commissioner Erin Kenny and her Community Liaison Densis Brodsky were: Dr. Core Murillo, Judge Cedric Kerns, Dolly's Bridals, Ermee Clark, DG Elegado, Dr. Emilio Berberabe, Dr. Edna Makabenta, Charlie Lee, Norman Clark, Yul Ventura, Geny Del Rosario, George Agnis, Dazo Micro Technology International, Dr. Tony Lei (Special Award for Unifying the Asian Community), Cheryl Dazo, Dr. Joey Villaflor, Joy Guideng, Vivian Kerns, Art Javier, Dr. Rena Nora, Nevada Examiner, U.S. Asian Chronicle, Tonie Siaon, Koster Finance, Lou Anne Nacua, M. Jolet Domingo, DDS, among others. A proclamation from Clark County was given to Noli Dazo also.
