Meet Jennifer Togliatti -- our recently Appointed Associate Fellow of PAI

Jennifer Togliatti was appointed by Washington Business and Technology Institute (WBTI) as an Associate Fellow of the Public Administration Institution (PAI) on May 17, 2002. She has been the latest one to be appointed by WBTI to the PAI. For the time beeing, the main faculty member of PAI are: Director and Fellow Dr. William Thompson, Fellows Dina Titus, Nancy Becker, Frankie Sue Del Papa, and Valorie Vega, Associate Fellows Michelle Leavitt, Jessie Walsh, and Cheryl Moss.
Jennifer received her Juris Doctor degree from California Western School of Law in San Diego in 1993. She attended Bishop Gorman High School and graduated from UNLV with a degree in Business Administration.
Jennifer was appointed by Governor Kenny Guinn for her to preside over Department 9 of the Eighth Jusdicial District Court on April 23, 2002. She is now a District Judge through her winning of election in November 2002.
She has been a resident of Las Vegas for over 22 years. Her position as a Deputy District Attorney with Crimes Against Women & Children's Unit ended in 1998 when she had the honor of being elected Las Vegas Justice Court's seventh Justice of the Peace. During 1999, she served as Chief Judge for Las Vegas Justice Court.. 2002 marks her forth anniversity as a Justice of the Peace.
Her professional and community involvement included: Colleague of the Nevada Law Foundation, Nevada Judges Association, Domestic Violence Curriculum Planning Committee and Mandatory Sentencing Review Commission, Southern Nevada Domestic Violence Court Task Force, Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce, Community Action Against Rape, Women's Development Center, and UNLV Developmental Assets Planning Retreat.
With her expert, integrity, and good personal traits, Jennifer is applaued to be one of our faculty member Her excellent caliber is an added asseet to this Institute. Throughout her distinguished career, Jennifer has accomplished many judicial practices as well as social services. She has earned a good reputation as a conscientious and dedicated professional.
"Dedicated to the creed of WBTI, as an Associate Fellow of its PAI, I will endeavor to work with all the intellectuals of this Institute to improve the quality of life of the people of Nevada," said Jennifer at the Dinner Party on May 17, 2002.
The Dinner was held at the Harbor Palace Seafood Restaurant in Las Vegas by the Asian American Community to pay a special tribute to District Judges Michelle Leavitt and Jennifer Togliatti. Dr. Tony Lei and Dr. R. D. Prabhu were the Chairmen of the Event and Party.
