 On November 28,  Dr. Tony Lei was pleased to receive a  nice Christmas card  from Mrs. Young,  who is the wife of  former President of  Pepperdine University, Dr.  M. Norvel Young.   Dr.  Lei was used  to  be hosted by the couple during  his  MBA  and  EdD scholarship  programs in Pepperdine College and Pepperdine University.      Dr. Young invited him  to  have  a  reunion  dinner  party  offerring  by  a  successful entrepreneur  alumnus  in Taipei when  Dr.  Lei  was  a  professor at  the Graduate  School of  Business Administration  of  National Chunghsing University.      Dr. Young  wished  that  the Chapter of  Pepperdine University Association of  the Republic of  China  would  be most appropriated   under  the leadership  of  Dr. Lei.
 Mrs. Young  quoted  from Henry Longfellow  that:
 "I  heard the bells on Christmas day
 Their old familiar carols play,
 And wild and sweet
 The words repeat,
 Of  'Peace on earth, good will to men!'
 "This year,  with the serious illness of my daughter,  Marilyn Stewart,  and my need to assist her family,  we have decided to not have our annual holiday reception," said Mrs. Young.     Dr.  Lei  will  pray sincerely  for  Marilyn's  healing  and  for strength  for  her  family.
 In  her card,  Mrs. Young  put  the message  from  the  Psalm that,  "Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord;   let us shout aloud  to  the Rock of our salvation.    Let us come before him with thankgiving and extol him with music and song."  (Psalm 95:1-2)

 Pan Pacific and Asian American Cultural Concert Will be Held to                           Honor  U. S. Labor Secretary Elaine Chao

 Dr.  John  Wang,   Spokesman  of    Washington Business and Technology Institute  (WBTI)  announced  on  November 27, 2001:
 "Pan Pacific  and Asian  American Forum  was  established  by  WBTI   web    (http://communitylink.reviewjournal.com/lvrj/wbti)        which  is  brought to you by     Las Vegas Review-Journal to pay a special tribute  to  U. S.  Secretary  Honorable  Elaine Chao on  September 28, 2001.    The  Forum  also will hold its  second  year   "Pan Pacific and Asian American Cultural  Concert"  at   Mandalay Bay Resort  and  Casino  Event Center in Las Vegas  next  Spring.      It  will be presented by   State of  Nevada,  WBTI, and  1NetBroadcast Inc.    U. S.  Senator  John Ensign and    U. S. Congresswoman  Shelley Berkley  will be the  Chairpersons of  the  Event.          President  Gloria  Macapagal-Arroyo  of  the  Republic  of  Philippines  and professional leaders of several field of expertise from many countries will attend the event.      More than 3,700 people  will participate the concert.     The  whole program will be  produced  for TV show which will reach 100 million families all around the world.            A dinner party was held by the President   of 1NetBroadcast Inc.  Dallas  Tanner  for  a   tribute  to  Dr.  and  Mrs.  Tony  Lei   for   their  contribution and support to the Event and show party on  October 22,  2001   at the Showroom of  the Venetian in Las Vegas.       The theme of the Event  was  'Lights of Las Vegas'  Symbolizes One Nation under God .             The  dinner party on October  27,  2001  at  the  Sienna  Cafe  of  Suncoast  Casino  and Hotel  was  highlighted  by  the  Letter  of  Appreciation  from the Incorporation which  was presented   by  Tanner   and 1Net  Broadcast  Vice President  Margie  Dikit   to  Dr.  Lei   who  is  the President  of   WBTI."
 As  the Director  of  Nevada Manufacturing Research Center of  UNLV,   Dr. Wang  is  also the Advisor of  the Student and Scholar Association  of  UNLV.         He has received  great  encouraagement  by  the  Ambassador   and General  Conuselor  Offices  of
 China  to  the United  States  for  their  participation  of  the  Event.
 At  the age  of 19,  Eleine Chao was  elected as a Scholar of the U. S. White House.  U.  S.   Labor  Secretary  Chao was Chairperson of  Federal  Air  Transportation,    Vice President of Bank  of American  Main Office.     In addition,  she  has contributed many years of community service and charity endeavor notably,  as President of United Way,  President of Peace Corps,  and Senior Fellow of Heritage Foundation.
 Secreatary Chao received her B. A.  degree in Economics  with straight A for all her four years at the famous Mount Holyoke College in  New England.      She  obtained her M. B. A.  degree  from  Harvard University  in  1979.            She  has received  12  of  her Honorary Doctorate degrees.       She was married to U.  S.  Senator  Mitch  McConnell (R-Ky of the third term)  in 1993.        At  the  time she was  nominated  by President  Bush  as  the Secretary of Labor,  she told her father that she was  not intend to be an  "Authoritative Official".     She hoped that she could contribute to our society and nation.

S. Congresswoman Shelley Berkley.   She siad that she owe that substatial victory to them for their  overwhelming support of her efforts.  She told them that she will endeavor to conduct herself and this nation's business in a manner that will make them proud that their supported her in the election.  Shelley wants to extend her family's warmest goof wishes  as the holiday eeason approaches to them and theirs and hope for a happy, healthy and prosperous New  Year.  How beauitiful is this Christmas!      Sunshine is always with us here in Las Vegas.  The weather is also mild.              "Our sons,  John  and  Mike,  are  flying back home for the festivel from their offices  in Dallas and San Francisco, respectively.     Julian, our dear,    we have a reunion party again this Saturday evening.  We shall have a center  seat for you.    Be with us please," says Dr. Tony Lei.        Dr. Lei  used to remind that  every and many times of their reunion dinners, Julian's nature and apperance had brought  a lot of joyful and spiritual atmosphere.      Dr. and Mrs. Lei  love  Nevadan seniors heartifully since they moved  here from California  in  1993.        Mrs.  Lillian  Wallace,  Julian's wife over ninety years of age,  is  invited by them to join their  family reunion  at  the  Gee Joon Chinese Restaurant  of  Horseshoe Casino and Hotel  on  December 22,  2001.  On behalf of Washington Business and Technology Institute (WBTI),    Dr. Lei enjoyed  and thanked  heartfeltly  Dr.  and  Mrs.  Andrew Benton,  President  of  Pepperdine University, for the creative Christmas card sent by them.        "The holiday season is a time for remembering the good things that have  happened during the year,  for reflecting on the many blessings of our lives for renewing the bonds of  love and friendship that make our lives special,"  wroted  U. 'The First Pan Pacific and Asian American  International  Concert'   will be held  at   Mandalay Bay Resort  and  Casino  Event Center in Las Vegas  next  Spring.       The international Event  and cultural Concert will be presented by State  of  Nevada,  WBTI,  and  1NetBroadcast Inc. U.  S.  Senator  John Ensign and    U.  S. Congresswoman  Shelley Berkley  are  Chairpersons of  the  Event. In 1998,  he was Executive Director  of  the Campaign organization  for   Governor  Kenny  Guinn.      With effort and wisdom, Dr.  Lei of  Washington Business and Technology Institute  and Pacific Asian  Community worked with him closely.    "It's my honor.
