Christine Hu appointed Assistant Fellow of PAI by WBTI

"On December 16, 2003, Ms. Christine Hu was appointed Assistant Fellow of the Public Administration Instiution (PAI) of Washington Business and Technology Institute (WBTI). It's our pleasure to have Ms. Hu as the first judicial professional of Chinese join this Institution (PAI)
under the leadership of our Director Dr. William Thompson," Dr. John Wang, Spokesman of WBTI, announced on December 16, 2003.
Christine Hu received her Juris Doctorate from the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2002. She also received MBA degree from the University of Phoenix in 2000. Christine is a native of China. She received her Bechelor of Arts degree in Japanese and Japanese literature from Xiamen University, China in 1995.*1
Christine is a member of the State Bar of Nevada. She is admitted to pratice before the United State District Court for the District of Nevada. As a member of the Southern Nevada Association of Women Attorneys and the Asian Bar Association, Christine is also a member of the American Bar Association (ABA). She is the Vice Chair of the International Law Committee in the Tort, Trial, and Insurance Practice Section of ABA. She is also a member of the Las Vegas Asian Chamber of Commerce.
Christine speaks Mandarin, Cantonese, English, and Japanese fluently. She has extensive background and insightful understandings in various cultures. While in Law school, Christine clerked for Judge Michael Cherry as a summer extern. She was also a student mentor for the Center of Academic and Student Enrichment at the William S. Boyd School of Law. While attending law school, she participated in clinical program where she gained practical experience in the area of family law and child welfare.
Christine has the following good knowledge on comoputer: Windom 98, MS Dos, Word, Excel, Word Perfect, Power Point, etc. She is also experienced in using accounting programs such as Peachtree Accounting and QuickBooks Pro and Japanese/Chinese word processing programs. She owns skills of legal research in both electronic and print sources. She is proficient at doing research in Lexis and Weslaw.*2
Ms. Christine Hu is now an Attorney at Kolesar & Leatham, Chtd. This law firm is a full-service law firm located in Las Vegas, Nevada. The firm has a comprensive business-orented practice involving banking, bankruptcy, real property, business and corporate law, commercial litigation, tax and estate planning, and tax litigation. The Firm's practice includes reprentation of clients at local, national, and international levels.*3
"Elaine Chao and John Ensign are two of the most comtemporary heroes who have realized the Ameican Dream which was encouraged for a long time by U. S. Senator Harry Reid. Under the spiritual leadership of them, WBTI has a bright endeavor for its proclamation and creed on the belief that the encouragement and promotion of academic research, community service, and humane spirit will bring our effort for a peaceful and prosperous community," said Christine Hu at the time when she was informed of her appointment by WBTI on December 16, 2003.
