Pepperdine University MBA ranks first
in 15 schools of California* By Mark Denton, Jessie Walsh, and Tiffany Chang

Recently, the Los Angeles Business Journal ranked and reported that Pepperdine University's Graziadio School of Business and Management was named "the pacesetter" in MBA education in Los Angeles County. The School retained top ranking ahead of USC's Marshall School of Business and The Anderson School at UCLA which placed second and third respectively.
As the market share leader in California, graduates of MBA annually from Graziadio School are more than any other school in the state. It is the sixth largest AACSB-accredited school in the United States. The success of this school should be credited to its fruitful efforts to delivering practical, results-oriented education that addresses the needs of working professionals and executives.
Dr. Tony Lei, President of Washington Business and Technology Institute (WBTI), is pleased to learn from the issue of "Media Relations" of the Pepperdine University's Graziadio School of Business and Management that Dr. Linda Livingstone has been named its Dean. Dr. Livinstone received her B.S., M.B.A., and Ph.D. from Oklahoma State University. She will assure her new responsibilities on June 1, 2002.
Dr. Livingstone will bring an international perspective to Pepperdine University. She has helped develop and teach courses in an MBA program in Jinan, China. She has expressed a keen interest in building additional bridges between Pepperdine MBA curriculum and the corporate world based on her prior experience in developing semester-long consulting projects with major companies for MBA students.
"Our Graziadio School is an outstanding business school with a national reputation. It is one of only a few schools across the country that has the potential to build a national and international reputation across all of its programs customized for executives, full-time, and fully employed students. And it is probably the only school with a faith-based mission committed to developing values-centered leaders that can accomplish this goal," said Dr. Livingstone.
On behalf of the faculty of Washington Business and Technology Institute (WBTI), Dr. Tony Lei congratulates Dr. Linda Livingstone with best regards. He wishes the New Dean may lead the Graziadio School into this millennium with academic excellence, practicality expertise, and spiritual values. A special program of MBA/PKE designed for presidents and key executives internationally is in ugent need for the cooperation of the Graziadio School and WBTI. "The spirit of both innovation and pioneers has motivated America to be a leading and prosperous country in the world. As an integrative academic program of the professional education directed to substantial gains in executive competence, modern technology, innovative knowledge, and spirit of entrepreneurship; an unique feature of one week workshop in Las Vegas for the cooperated MBA/PKE Program should be designed for the Chinese speaking business executives and owners of the international world mainly from China, Taiwan, and Singapore" says Dr. Tony Lei.

"Lee Iacocca told us that management is nothing more than motivating other people. I agree with U. S. Congresswoman as once she said that the knowledge delivered by the publications of Washington Business and Technology Institute (WBTI) through its multimedia inspire us with a positive thinking to love our people, community, professionalism, and country. I'm impressed that the Graduate School of Business and Public Administration (GSBPA) of WBTI quoted again lots of valuable words of positive thinking," said Judge Natalie Tyrrell, Justice of the Peace of North Las Vegas. She likes to read the WBTI website (http://communitylink.reviewjournal.com/lvrj/wbti) with colorful and creative design. Even as the number 36,000th visitor of the website, she is proud to be on the list. We express regret for that the numbers of this website are limited because of its contends by nature of the academic and professioal features. People may ask that "How many people could and should be the readers of the book written by our famous scientist Albert Einstein?"

Chief Justice Bill Maupin names Dr. Tony Lei as a 'Son of Nevada'
By Cheryl Moss, Jessie Walsh, and Tiffany Chang

It is not unusual here in Nevada to have an individual who always gives herself or himself to the work both for the people and in Lord, because she or he knows that her or his labor for the people and in Lord is not in vain. Whenever we do, work at it with all our heart, as working for the Lord, not solely for men, since we know that we will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward.
"WHEREAS, it is an honor and privileg for the Board of County Commissioners to recognize those extraordinary individuals, groups, or programs which enrich the lives of many in our community; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Tony T. Lei, Ed. D., a famous resident of Clark County for more than nine years, has served the community through a variety of venues including: President of Washington Business and Technology Institute; Senior Advisor for Congresswoman Shelley Berkley, Office of Clark County District Attorney, and Constanble's Office of Las Vegas Township; Director and Secretary of South Shores Community Association; Honorary President of Great Wall College and Shiamen Straits Foreign Language College; Chairman of Chinese American Academic Association of Nevada; Contributing Editor and Columnist of "Nevada Examiner"; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Tony Lei received his M.B.A. and Doctor of Education in Institutional Management degrees from Pepperdine University in 1969 and 1980, respectively. He had been an Associate Professor of Information Management and a Fellow of Management of the Graduate School of Business Administration of National Chung Hsing University and Pepperdine University from 1985 to 1991 and 1991 to 1996, respectively.
Now, THEREFORE, WE, the Board of County Commissioners of Clark County, on this occasion, October 1, 2002, in celebration and recognition of his distingueshed professionalism and outstanding accomplishments, do hereby recognize and honor Dr. Tony T. Lei, Ed. D.
and urge all citizens to join us wishing him a succesful and bright future."
"The above Proclamation was signed by the Clark County Chairman Dario Herera, Vice-Chair Myrna Williams, Commissioners Yvonne Atkinson Gate, Marry Kincaid-
Chauncey, Chip Maxfield, Erin Kenny, Bruce L Woodbury, and attested by County Clerk Shirley B. Parraguirre. As a humble and sincere American Coolie (hardworking man) like him, Dr. Tony Lei has given freely of his time, energy, knowledge, and talents, working on projects and events that contribute to the quality of life in Nevada and has dedicated himself to public service to not only the Asian Community but to all citizens. It's my great pleasure to name Dr. Tony Lei as a Son of Nevada," said the Chief Justice of Nevada Supreme Court William Maupin at the Celebration Party to "Nevada Examiner" and "Reviewjournal.com" at the Steak House of Binion's Horseshoe Club, Las Vegas on October 10, 2002. The Party was held by WBTI to celebrate William Maupin's being appointed as its Fellow of the Public Administration Institution (PAI) and as its Honorary Chairman of the Clark County District Attorney and Police Civil Commission (CCDAPCC).
After the 911 last year, we need to encourage the launching of activities to promote and attract tourism, trade, and investment from foreign countries to Nevada by Dr. Tony Lei. He has been honored by Xiamen, Fukien, China; China Business Chain, Inc.; Shanghai People's Municipal Government Cooperation Office; and China State Development and Planning Commission as Chairman of Nevada Expo Mission to China to attend Sisters Universities Establishment Celebration; the Annual International Mayors for City Development Forum; and the Shanghai International Industrial Fair and Yangtze Investment Project Expo. Dr. Tony Lei will organize a sound team joined by many high-ranking officials both of Nevada and California. U. S. Congresswoman Shelley
Berkley, Lt. Governor Lorraine Hunt, and Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman have been honored by WBTI as Honorary Chairpersons of our Nevada Expo Mission to China.
As the "Bible" inspired us that, "When God gives any man wealth and possesions, and enables him to enjoy them, to accept his lot and be happy in his work --- this is a gift of God." *
