It was co-sponsored by Mr. Jheri Psmyth - Kids for a Better Society; Dr. Tony Lei - President, Washington Business and Technology Institute; Mr. Tim Wong - CEO, Arcata Associates; Mr . Raymond Lam - Vice President, Chinese American Citizen Alliance of Las Vegas; among others. Thai Cultural Arts Association of Las Vegas on the occassion of the 9th anniversary saluted three awardees with Awards from U. S. Senator Harry Reid and U. S. Congresswoman Shelley Berkley: Dr. and Mrs. Tony Lei, Mr. Tim Wong, and Mr. Raymond Lam. The Association saluted also four awards from TCAA - LV: Ms Joanne Lentino, Ms. Jeanne H. Johnson, Mr Tim Wong, and Ms. Jennifer Schember. During the Performing Arts Appreciation Day 2002, Dr. Tony Lei was very pleased to welcome so many government officials, community leaders, business owners, among others. You may have it for the Directory Book of your Association at your convience. ********************** Dr. Tony Lei is the President of Washington Business and Technology Institute (WBTI) and Chairman of Chinese American Academic Association of Nevada (CAAAN). He received his M.B.A. and Doctor of Education in Institutional Management degrees from Pepperdine University in 1969 and 1980, respectively. He had been an Associate Professor and a Fellow of Management of the Graduate School of Business Administration of National Chung Hsing University and Pepperdine University from 1985 to 1991 and 1991 to 1996, respectively. He has completed numerious scientific papers, text books, best selling books, and research projects during past 30 years in univerties and academic institutes. Dr. Lei's dedication and performance in academic research are indicated by the acceptance of his papers for presentation and publication by the International Conference on Technology and Education (ICTE), International Information Management Congress (IIMC), and Science Engineering Technology Seminars (SETS). His famous publications Modern Business Management, Information Management, Management Behavior , Arts of Leading, among others have been adopted by several universities as text books. During his three year term from 1997 to 2000 as a Directror of the Las Vegas Senior Citizens Advisory Board, he had enhanced its social and educational value of the activities of the Board. As the Exective Vice President of Seniors United in 2000, he modernrized its management with non-partisan and educational value for our Nevadan seniors. As Director of the Board of South Shores Community Association (SSCA) since 1993, Dr. Lei's knowledge, wisdom, and talent have contributed to the SSCA's being one of the best community in the United of America. Dr. Lei is now the Senior Advisor of U. S. Congresswoman Shelley Berkley; Clark County Assistant District Attorney Office; Raleigh, Hunt, McGarry & Drizin, P.C.; and Constable's Office, Las Vegas Township. In January 2000, Dr. Lei and Dr. William Thompson established the Public Administration Institution (PAI) for WBTI. It has Dr. Thompson as Director; and Justice of the Supreme Court Nancy Becker, Professor Emeritus of Pepperdine University Dr. Roy Adamson, Attorney General Frankie Sue Del Papa, Nevada State Senator Dina Titus, and District Judge Valorie Vega as its Fellows. Dr. Lei is also the Honorary President of Great Wall College and Xaimen Foreign Language College. He is the Contrbuting Editor of Nevada Examiner. On the very top floor of this mension at the Graduate School of New York University, I am impressed by the crowded traffic and the brilliant night scenes down on the ground. And looking at the groups of mensions standing under the heavenly sky at this Fifth Street reminds me that: All these golden Squares and proserity at the time of the May Flower period was nothing but an empty land.
