According to the report entitled "FACT-FINDING TRIPS" by Las Vegas Review- Journal on January 22, 2003, also completing a trip overseas, Rep. Shelley Berkley, D-Nev., returned from Taiwan with a view that China poses a military threat to the island nation-Republic of China, but both side of the country benefit from trading goods with each other.
Berkley departed for Republic of China on January 12, 2003. She was accompanied by seven other House members and two former congressmen. All of them are members of the 119-member Taiwan Caucus. The Caucus for the Republic of China was formed in the U. S. Congress in 2002.
