Anyone who studies God~{!/~}s ways soon realizes they are quite different from man~{!/~}s. Worldly wisdom says that extraordinary people and abundant resources are needed for great tasks, yet the Lord often chooses the small and insignificant to achieve His purposes on earth.

For example, Christ selected a rather unimpressive group of men as disciples, yet after being filled with the Spirit, they ~{!0~}turned the world upside down.~{!1~} During His ministry on earth, Jesus fed thousands with a child~{!/~}s meager lunch, and He viewed the widow~{!/~}s two small coins as a greater offering than all the other generous donations (John 6:5-12; Luke 21:2-3).

God specializes in using people who aren~{!/~}t naturally qualified to accomplish His tasks. Moses was a verbally impaired 80-year-old shepherd who liberated a nation. After Gideon hid from the enemy, God made him a valiant warrior. David was the overlooked youngest son who killed a giant with a small stone and became Israel~{!/~}s greatest king.

God isn~{!/~}t looking for impressive people; He wants willing ones who will bow the knee in humble submission. Being weak and ordinary doesn~{!/~}t make you useless. Rather, it positions you for a demonstration of divine power in your life. He takes insignificant ones and delights in making them great.

Have you ever considered that your lack of ability, talent, or skill is the ideal setting for a great display of Christ~{!/~}s power and glory? Welcome to the first-ever APEC Women�s Entrepreneurship Summit.

All of you are innovators, leaders, and problem-solvers � women who are helping to reshape the world with your entrepreneurial talents and your energy. Women like you are essential to fulfilling the promise of this new century. We cannot achieve peace, prosperity, security, or any of our other shared goals without the full partnership and participation of women around the world.

That�s why gender equality is a focus of our foreign policy agenda, at the State Department and in our government. President Obama is committed to promoting entrepreneurship to seed broader economic progress, especially for women, because enhancing women�s economic opportunity spreads the benefits of growth more widely. This is at the heart of APEC�s Growth Strategy for the Asia-Pacific region.

And I thank the Government of Japan and all the sponsors and supporters of this conference for highlighting the many contributions of women entrepreneurs in the Asia-Pacific region. I look forward to welcoming you to the United States next year for the 2011 APEC meeting, and to continuing our work together to open the doors of opportunity for more women and all people across the region.

The delegation led by Zhao came to Las vegas on June 25, 2002 for the signiature of the agreement of the Sister States between Nevada and Quinghai. It had eleven memberes including Mayor of Xining City Zhanng Yi Jiong, Director General of Foreign Affairs and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Qinghai Province Xie Xiaoping, Academic Administrators, Provincial Lagislators, high-ranking officials, and business leaders. The Agreement was signed by Hunt and Zhao on June 27, 2001 at CCSN in Las Vegas.

"My public service life has been enriched by joining the Public Administration Institution (PAI) of WBTI since my election, in 2001, as a Member of the Nevada Board of Education and the Nevada State Board of Occupational Education. Working together with these intelectuals as a faculty member of the Institute with modern management philosophy, information technology, and dignified professionalism, my talent and knowledge are sharpened and shined by the sprit of institutional entrepreneuship and educational excellence of Drs. Tony Lei and William Thompson. It's my honor to be invited as one of the special guests by WBTI's President Dr. Tony Lei to this Event and Dinner Party. Our efforts are working together to make a difference for the mutual cooperation and development of trade, economy, education, and culture between the friendship of the people of Nevada and Quinghai," said Theresa Malone, elected Member of the Board of Education and Chairperson at the Dinner Party. The Party was held by the Governor and delegation from Quinghai, China at the Sloan K of Orleans Casino and Hotel at the evening on June 26, 2002 in Las Vegas. "Nevada and China has been partners for many years in tourism and economic developemt. Chinese ancestors provided shelter and food to travelers as they journeyed through Nevada to California in search of gold. On June 27, 2002, Dr. Aldo Aguirre wrote Dr. Tony Lei, "A short note to thank you for letting me join you for the China-Nevada dinner at the Orleans last night. I enjoyed the opportunity to meet such distinguished dignataries and the chance to bring the group a greeting from the Latin Chamber of Commerce. Thank you also for your encouragement and support. Respectfully."*2

The establishment of the sisters states relations between Nevada and Quinghai is advancing the cooperation and development of trade, tourism, culture, and education for the both states to promote the quality of life of all our residents and visitors of Nevada.*3

On behalf of President Obama and the people of the United States, I congratulate the Chinese people as you celebrate your 61st National Day on October 1.

Like millions of people from around the world, this year I was privileged to attend the Shanghai World Expo and to see first-hand how much China has achieved in recent years. Every visit offers fresh insights into the dynamism of this nation and the talents of its people. I was also pleased to participate in the U.S.-China Strategic & Economic Dialogue in Beijing, which is the premier forum for our shared efforts to build a positive, cooperative, and comprehensive relationship between our two countries.

The historic ties between our people run deep, and they continue to bind us together. This year we have launched new efforts to promote educational and cultural exchanges, including our goal of sending 100,000 American students to China over the next four years to learn Mandarin and experience the hospitality of the Chinese people.

In honor of this festive occasion, I reaffirm the commitment of the United States to working together to deepen our relationship, and I offer my best wishes to all the families of China for a safe and happy holiday.

Imagination is important for an individual and institution. It is the ability to perceive opportunity. Imagination may produce creativity. Creativity contributes profit and prosperity for an institution. Where imagination and innovation are encouraged, it floirish. Innovation is doing something different. Innovation comes from people and it requires insight.

It's our pleasure to post a short story and quotation from "Speaker's Source Book" by Glenn Van Ekeren:

What is serendipity? It is discovering something totally unrelated to the problem you are trying to solve. Call it an accident, dumb luck, or fate--serendipity has given our world great products, new hope, and better ways of doing things.
Foe example, Columbus discovered America while searching for a route to India. It is said that the American Indians, finding no water for cooking, tapped a maple tree and made the first maple wyrup as the sap boiled down. Pioneers, traveling westward, stopped for water and found gold nuggets in a stream. These are all examples of serendipity.
However, the classic example of serendipity must go to George Ballas. As George Ballas drove his car through a car wash, ... Why not use a nylon cord, whirling at high speed to trim the grass and weeds around trees and the house? Bingo! the Weedeater was born!
... Finally, in 1971, Ballas invested his own money in the first thirty- pound Weedeaster. ...
Before long, Weedeater, Inc., grew into a multimillion-dollar international corporation. Yes, one idea can be worth a fortune. Weedeater, Inc., was born from a simple idea in a car wash. *2
