Dear Tony,

This is an incredibly important election. Sen. Reid's opponent , Sharron Angle, wants to kill Social Security and Medicare, says the unemployed are "spoiled" and that it's "not (her) job to create jobs," and that insurance companies shouldn't have to cover treatment for children with autism.

And while it's incredibly important that we reelect Sen. Harry Reid - who delivers for this state like no one can - it's also important that we elect a Democratic governor and lieutenant governor, reelect Congresswomen Dina Titus and Shelley Berkely and our constitutional officers and hold our majorities in the state legislature.

But time is running out, and it's crucial to make sure our fellow Democrats are registered to vote. There are fewer than six weeks until Election Day - and just over three weeks until Early Vote begins on October 16. And there is only ONE MORE WEEK to register to vote online or by mail.

If you live in Clark County, you have a Nevada driver's license or identification card and you have never registered to vote in Nevada, YOU QUALIFY to register online. Nevada is one of only nine states that allows residents to register online. So it's important that we take advantage of this unique right.

If you don't qualify, chances are you know someone who does. Please forward this email to 10 friends and ask them if they're registered to vote. If they're not, tell them to register today!

Leadership is love --- a way to reaching a goal

In our real world, people are led by leaders. A successful leader is consistently follwed by others. People follow because they have a belief in the direction, intergrity, and competence of the one leading.

We are pleased to quote the following three short but meaningful ones:

It's our pleasure to post a short story from "Speaker's Source Book II" by Glenn Van Ekeren:

I went on a search to become a leader.
I searched high and low. I spoke with authority. People listened. But alas, there was one who was wiser than I, and they follow that individual.
I sought to inspire confidence, but the crowd responded, "Why should I trust you?"
I postured, and I assumed the look of leadership with a countenance that flowed with confidence and pride. But many passed me by and never noticed my air of elegance.
I ran ahead of the others, pointed the way to new heights. I demonstrated that I knew the road to greatness. And then I looked back, and I was alone.
"What shall I do?" I queried. "I've tried hard and used all that I know." And I sat down and pondered long.
And then, I listened to the voices around me. And I heard what the group was trying to accomplish. I rolled up my sleeves and joined in the work.
As we worked, I asked, "Are we all together in what we want to do and how to get the job done?"
And we thought together, and we fought together, and we struggled towards our goal.
I found myself encouraging the fainthearted. I sought the ideas of those too shy to speak out. I taught those who had little skill. I praised those who worked hard. When our task was completed, one of the group turned to me and said, "This would not have been done but for your leadership."
At first, I said, "I didn't lead. I just worked with the rest." And then I understood, leadership is not a goal. It's a way to reaching a goal.
I lead best when I help others to go where we've decide to go. I lead best when I help others to use themselves creatively. I lead best when I forget about myself as leader and focus on my group...their needs and their goals.
To lead is to serve...to give...to achieve together.

Let me talk to Paul first. He is in HK now. I would like to build an elementary school gathering money from my siblings in memory of my father or Lei's family name. You can suggest as to where we should build such a school and initiate the relatives to contribute.

How we Paul build elementary school in porr rural area is to put in 50% and have the local government match the fund. My estimation is $50,000 US dollars on our part.

GOVERNOR JIM GIBBONS REMAINS HOSPITALIZED
AT RENOWN REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER IN RENO

Governor Jim Gibbons remains hospitalized at Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno. The Governor is talking and in high spirits, although he is still in a great deal of pain. The Governor~{!/~}s hip is broken in at least two places. He will have surgery on his hip today (Wednesday). His surgeon says this type of injury is very common when someone is thrown from a horse. Further, his surgeon says the procedure to mend the broken hip is common and uncomplicated. His doctors also say his prognosis is very good and his injuries are non-life threatening and non-life altering.

The Governor will likely be in the hospital until at least the end of the week. The doctors and other medical staff are doing outstanding work. After surgery, the medical experts will determine how long the Governor should remain hospitalized and will set a course for rehabilitation and full recovery.

Family, friends and staff are with the Governor now.

Background: At about 4:30PM Tuesday, Governor Gibbons was thrown from a horse. It happened at a ranch north of Pyramid Lake. He was transported by ambulance to Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno.
