Tonight, I will give the State of the State address and outline my agenda for our upcoming legislative session.
In less than three weeks, the legislature will begin a new session and it's important that we decide on the best path for improving the quality of education in Nevada, prioritizing our state's spending, and getting Nevadans back to work.
To watch tonight's speech, please tune in to your local television stations (Elko: NBC; Las Vegas: CBS, FOX, NBC and PBS; Reno: ABC, CBS and NBC) at 6 pm tonight or watch online on the Nevada Legislature's website.

Four years ago, during his first inauguration, Barack and I were thrilled when thousands of Americans from every corner of the country took part in the National Day of Service honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
We were so excited because we knew that the celebrations weren't just about a new president, but about everything that we can accomplish together. And that starts with service.
So this year, as we prepare for another celebration, we're hoping to renew that spirit of service and citizenship -- we're calling on all Americans, including you, to volunteer in your community on Saturday, January 19th, for this year's Day of Service.
Please join us, and commit to serve on January 19th.
Throughout our lives, Barack and I have seen that building a full life isn't about what you can get for yourself -- but what you can give to those around you. It's a value that's been central to our lives together. And as parents, it's something we're trying every day to pass down to our girls.

Annual COASTAL 5K/10K Walk/Run & Kiddie K

GSEP is hosting our third annual COASTAL 5K/10K Walk/Run benefit for the children of Los Angeles
and we would love for you to join the fun and support the cause! This event raises funds
for our endeavors to improve the future of young people via K-12 preparation in underserved areas, counseling for underprivileged families, and caring for homeless children. This family friendly event includes a Kiddie K fun run, awards, activities, and refreshments. Join a team, create your own, or walk/run individually. The course is considered fast for a great personal record.
ENTRY FEES:
∙ $30 � 5K/10K; $35 after January 25th
∙ $25 � Running Club Member; $30 after January 25th
∙ $20 � Pepperdine Student; $25 after January 25th
