We're looking for Obama organizing fellowsSunday, December 4, 2011 6:44 PMFrom: "Sara El-Amine, BarackObama.com" View contact detailsTo: "tony lei"
Tony --

Know anyone who wants to go above and beyond to help re-elect President Obama in 2012?

Obama for America and Organizing for America are looking for bright, motivated people for our Organizing Fellowship Program -- a 12-week program that will be held three times in 2012: during the spring, the summer, and the fall.

Here's why you should think about it, or pass this along to someone who might be interested in applying: If you're an Obama organizing fellow, you'll gain hands-on campaign experience and strengthen your leadership skills, while working in a fast-paced environment. You'll also learn firsthand about the grassroots efforts that drive this campaign -- including recruiting volunteers and developing relationships with supporters in communities across the country.

You'll also be on the front lines of the work that it will take to win on November 6th, 2012.

If you or someone you know might be interested, apply here or encourage your friends to.

We know that our power lies in the individuals behind this movement, and there's nothing more important than the one-on-one conversations they have in this campaign -- whether while knocking on doors or leading voter registration drives on the weekends. It's hard work, but it's one of the most meaningful ways to build this movement.

That's what we're looking for in our organizing fellows. And that level of dedication is why many join us as full-time staff after their fellowship is over. I'm living proof of that. Having started as an intern in 2007, I worked my way up through the organization to where I am today -- heading up our national training programs.

Applications are being accepted and processed on a rolling basis until the program is full, but it always fills up quickly. Get started here to apply for an organizing fellowship in your state, or make your friends owe you one by passing on this link:

http://my.barackobama.com/Organizing-Fellows

I'm looking forward to hearing from you,

Sara

Dear Tony,

Thousands of people around the world are standing up as new leaders in the climate solutions movement by hosting presentations about the reality of the climate crisis.

Two months ago, we invited you to host a Climate Reality presentation where you live. So far, more than 1,800 of you have requested a presentation -- in over 90 countries, all 50 U.S. states, and more than 1,083 cities across the globe -- and the requests keep coming in.

We're so excited about the response that we've decided to illustrate our success. So we've created a map to show where we've received presentation requests all around the world.

Find out how the climate movement is spreading around the world. Take a look at our impact.

As you can see, we've received the most requests in five countries that are among the top 10 carbon polluters in the world. That's why it's so important for us to get informed about climate change and tell our leaders that we must stop the delay and reach out to solve this crisis.

Starting this week, world leaders are gathering in Durban, South Africa for a major conference on climate change. Our trained Presenter Corps is there too. Together, we're taking the message to Durban that the climate movement is engaged and growing.

I'm proud that so many of you are hosting a climate presentation in your community. Click here to find out about our climate presentations around the world, and share this graphic with your friends:

Maggie L. Fox

Dear Tony,

Even with nearly a year left until Election Day, it抯 pretty clear what this campaign is going to be about.

Who should come first: Working families in Nevada or powerful special interests in Washington?

And you don抰 need to hear too much before you know whose side I抦 on -- and whose side my opponent is on. On issue after issue, I抦 standing up for Nevada families, and Dean Heller isn抰.

I抦 fighting to protect Medicare and the health security of our seniors; he抯 already voted twice to end Medicare as we know it and to leave our seniors at the mercy of Big Insurance.

I抦 fighting to create good-paying jobs; he抯 standing with Washington Republicans intent on cutting off any help for the unemployed.

I抦 fighting to make Nevada the clean energy jobs capital of America; he抯 voting to keep giving taxpayer funded handouts to Big Oil companies.

I抦 fighting for a deficit solution in which everyone shares the sacrifice; he抯 working to protect special interest loopholes.

But it抯 all the same argument. I believe that our top priority should be supporting the men and women who get up every morning and work hard to make a better life for their kids. Dean Heller is more interested in taking care of the lobbyists and special interests who support his campaign.

So if you know which side of the argument you抮e on, now抯 a great time to take your stand by making a contribution to help me make this contrast clear -- click here to donate now!

And if you抮e ready to stand with me -- and with Nevada families -- all the way until Election Day, there抯 an easy, one-click way to do it: Become a sustainer and set up an automatic contribution each month at an amount that抯 right for you -- even just a few dollars every month will make a big difference.

This campaign is going to be about one big argument over whose interests should come first in our country. I know whose side I抦 on. And I hope I can count on you to stand with me.

Thanks,

Shelley

Feel free to publish this:

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for bringing me back today on time.
When I went to the airport this morning and
tried to check in at the ticket counter, it
says that I checked in too early and to talk
with the agent. When I went to the agent and
gave her my name, she said that I'm not in the
system. She asked for my ticket. I handed her
my flight confirmation. She took a look at it
and asked me, "Who booked this?" I told her I
did online. She said my return date was wrong.
I looked at it, it was Sunday 12/25. She said
I would need to check another airline because
they are oversold. I didn't immediately rush
to the other airline. I just stood there and
asked her what she can do for me. She called
her manager and asked him. After talking on the
phone, she told me she can put me on standby
for this time. However since it's oversold, 3
people would have to miss the flight for me to
get on. However, the good thing is that I'm
the only person on standby. I sensed Your peace
with me as I go in through securities to the gate.
I know You are with me. I tried to pass out some
gospel tracts to the Chinese people I see. I passed
out a tract to a couple with kids and the dad didn't
take it but the mom took it. I saw a group of about
5 Chinese girls and I tried to hand them the gospel
tracts. They didn't want it. Finally one took a tract.
I just felt they must not know You O Lord. Please
show us how to reach all these people who don't know You.
On the plane another young Chinese girl sat by me.
I asked her if she speaks Chinese. She said she speaks
Cantonese. I didn't feel she wanted to talk. At the end of
the flight as we are landing, I asked her if she reads
Chinese. She said so so, not that much. She said she
is trying to learn. I showed her the gospel of John,
which is bilingual and gave it to her. She seemed happy
to get it and said Thank You to me. I was surprised at
her response. O Lord, I pray that You will bless the girl
who received the tract and the girl who received the
gospel of John today. Help them to know You more O Lord.
Help more people to know You through Your Word O Lord.
In Your Son Jesus Christ's name I pray. Amen

Dear Judy,

Together we built a pretty remarkable campaign in 2010. I'm asking you to stand with me again today to elect my friend Dean Heller to the United States Senate.

I wholeheartedly endorse Dean in the race for US Senate. I've known Dean and his family for a long time and can tell you he is without question the right person for the job.

This race is critical to the direction of our state and our country. You and I need to stand together to do all we can to help elect Dean Heller to a full term in the United States Senate.

Specifically, I'm asking you to join Dean online and consider making a donation to his campaign here.

You might remember that in our campaign we had Pioneers who made regular monthly contributions and received a special red bumper sticker to signify you were a Pioneer to our campaign. Dean has a similar team on his campaign called Team Dean and you can sign up here.

I will be spending a lot of time on the trail with Dean in the next 11 months. I hope you will join me and I hope you will sign up today to help.

I appreciate all you have done to help me and I appreciate your consideration for Dean.

Thank you for all that you do.

Brian Sandoval
Governor

Delivering a World-Class Educational Experience
We are grateful for the accolades that rankings bring. The most important measure by which we gauge our success remains how prepared our students are to face the opportunities and challenges of the business world once they graduate. Our fellow faculty members, staff, Program Offices and Office of Alumni and Career Services remain focused on the quality of the student experience in the classroom as well as strengthening our network and reputation globally.

Answer the Call
The holidays are a time of giving. There is no greater gift than the gift of an education for those most challenged in these economically troubled times. As stewards of the Graziadio School, we encourage you to support us.

旵ONTRIBUTE TO THE SEASON OF SUPPORT (S.O.S.) CHALLENGE
In the coming year, we wish to award more student scholarships, better enable student organizations in their mission and improve resources for faculty in the classroom. Help us reach our goal of 500 gift-champions by December 31. Visit: http://bschool.pepperdine.edu/giving

旼IVE THE GIFT OF A REFERRAL
We welcome your recommendations to trusted qualified colleagues and acquaintances who might be ideal candidates for a Pepperdine business degree.
The Graziadio School has instituted enhancements to the curriculum in all programs in the last year. We have expanded services provided by class advisors and Career Services, as well as initiated a higher level of community engagement with students and alumni.

You and a guestTuesday, November 22, 2011 9:22 AMFrom: "Barack Obama" View contact detailsTo: "tony lei" Tony --

A few Thursdays ago, I had dinner with four Americans named Ken, Casey, Juanita, and Wendi -- the winners of the campaign's first Dinner with Barack contest.

I loved getting to know each of them.

We're taking names for the next dinner starting now, and this time I want to add a new feature: If you win, you can bring a guest.

Chip in $3 or more today to be automatically entered to win a spot for you and a guest at the next dinner.

The folks who this election is all about tend to fall under the radar of the D.C. pundits and traditional news media.

They're people like Juanita, who helped put her three sons through college on a teacher's salary while saving what she could for retirement.

Like Ken, a single dad who stood by his mother as she fought insurance companies while battling two forms of cancer.

They're like Casey, whose three young kids may not yet appreciate what courage it took for their dad to take a chance and start his own business.

And Wendi, an artist and third-generation teacher who canvassed, marched, and phone banked in Indiana in 2008, the year her home state defied the traditional electoral map.

These people weren't just there for themselves -- they were representing you, this movement, and the folks I go to work for every day as president.

These dinners are important to me because I want to spend time whenever I can with the people who sent me here. They're proving wrong the conventional wisdom that says campaigns should cater to Washington lobbyists and powerful interests. And they're an important reminder that this movement -- and my presidency -- have never just been about me.

I'm proud that we're choosing to run the kind of campaign where a dinner like this isn't just possible, it's a regular thing. And next time, I don't just want to meet you -- I want to meet someone else in your life.

Donate $3 or more, and start thinking about who you'll invite to dinner:

Thanks for being part of this,

Barack

Part of the teamFriday, November 18, 2011 11:12 AMFrom: "Brandon Hall, Titus for Congress" View contact detailsTo: tojulei@yahoo.com

Tony -

Last year Nevada Democrats had a huge victory re-electing our Senate Majority Leader.

As you may know, I was Senator Reid’s Campaign Manger and in that role was honored to have met so many terrific Nevadans.

Before managing that campaign, I worked at the DCCC where I coordinated an effort with House Leadership, the DCCC and others to recruit Dina Titus to run for Congress. We needed a candidate who could step up and run against Rep. Jon Porter. Dina took on that challenge and won.

Many of you worked hard to help Dina get elected. Our worked paid off as Dina cast a key vote to pass healthcare reform, worked to create jobs by investing in clean energy and fought the banks to help people stay in their homes. She is a tireless advocate of our shared Democratic ideals.

Now I’m working for Dina Titus because we need her back in Congress. But the only way to get her back there is with our help. Will you join me in supporting Dina today? Your contribution of $10, $50, $100, or more today will make the difference.

Just as I knew that we needed her to keep our Majority in 2008, I now know that we need her to take back our majority in 2012. Dina is a fighter with the proven track record of standing up for our Democratic values.

It is good to be back in Nevada and back on Team Titus.

Thank you,

Brandon Hall, Media Strategist

THIS IS VERY SPECIAL.............ENJOY
TWO HORSES; TWO FRIENDS beautiful story

Just up the road from my home is a field, with two horses in it.

From a distance, each horse looks like any other horse. But if you stop your car, or are walking by, you will notice something quite amazing.....

Looking into the eyes of one horse will disclose that he is blind. His owner has chosen not to have him put down, but has made a good home for him.

This alone is amazing.

If you stand nearby and listen, you will hear the sound of a bell. Looking around for the source of the sound, you will see that it comes from the smaller horse in the field.
Attached to the horse's halter is a small bell. It lets the blind friend know where the other horse is, so he can follow.

As you stand and watch these two friends, you'll see that the horse with the bell is always checking on the blind horse, and that the blind horse will listen for the bell and then slowly walk to where the other horse is, trusting that he will not be led astray.

When the horse with the bell returns to the shelter of the barn each evening, it stops occasionally and looks back, making sure that the blind friend isn't too far behind to hear the bell.

Like the owners of these two horses, God does not throw us away just because we are not perfect or because we have problems or challenges.

He watches over us and even brings others into our lives to help us when we are in need.

Sometimes we are the blind horse Being guided by the little ringing bell of those who God places in our lives.

Other times we are the guide horse, helping others to find their way....

Friends are like that... You may not always see them, but you know they are always there.

Listen for my bell and I'll listen for yours.

And remember...
Be kinder than necessary - - - Everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.
Live simply,
Love generously,
Care deeply,
Speak kindly........
And leave the rest to God!
FOR WE WALK BY FAITH AND NOT BY SIGHT!
