Choosing Joy

Philippians 4

I have discovered that a joyful countenance has nothing to do with one's age or one's occupation (or lack of it) or one's geography or education or marital status or good looks or circumstances. Joy is a choice!

Joy is a matter of attitude that stems from one's confidence in God---that He is at work, that He is in full control, that He is in the midst of whatever has happened, is happening, and will happen. Either we fix our minds on that and determine to laugh again, or we wail and whine our way through life, complaining that we never got a fair shake. We are the ones who consciously determine which way we shall go. To paraphrase the poet:

One ship sails east
One ship sails west
Regardless of how the winds blow.
It is the set of the sail
And not the gale
That determines the way we go.

Hi Professor Lei,

It's good to talk with you on the phone in this evening. As per my thought to prepare for the coming new world, I would like to share some my personal's thought.

Thinking about the news we have heard from TV or Radio: the Fast East countries such as Pakistan and China had flood and mudslide disasters and that had caused thousands of people's death. A new kind of NO medicine can cured Virus has been found spread from India to England. The Iceland---an European country had bankrupted. The whole Europe felt into economical crisis. The world economical engine--America, has it's own headaches, only the domestic unemployment issue had made thousands of people have to struggle to make a living. More and More reported UFO appeared in earth. And NASA recently sent a warning that the earth may be will have big trouble when the bigger scale sun eruption occurs in 2013. And famous Physical Scientist Hodgkin warned that human being will facing "GAME OVER" after 200 years unless humans can find a way to escape from the Earth and go to other safe university.

All these news give human being a message, right now, human being in the earth have to experience an uncommon period of time in the human's history.

How to to get through these times?

For individual, a workable way is learning how to unconditional go to care and help others in the earth and showing your love not hate, and learning how to quietly sit and take energy from air so that to calm down your nervous emotion which came from pressure of life, work , or even some people.

For countries, a better way is political conversation compare with the war or conflict. Especially, for big countries like USA and China, the cooperation will benefit both, on the other side, the war will destroy both, even whole world.
