Berkley statement on Passing of Former President Reagan
June 9, 2004

Mr. Speaker, I rise today to express my sincere condolences to former first lady Nancy Reagan and the entire Reagan family. And I join our Nation in expressing profound sorrow at the loss of our 40th President.*3

Ronald Reagan had a special place in the hearts of Nevadans. Long before he came to the White House, Ronald Reagan in a another life headlined on the Las Vegas Strip as an entertainer in the early 1950s. Later as Governor of California, he worked with his counterpart from Nevada, former U.S. Senator and Governor Paul Laxalt, to address environmental threats to Lake Tahoe.

While in the White House, Ronald Reagan would often turn to his old friend from Nevada, Senator Laxalt, who was one of his closest advisers during his time in our Nation's Capital.

Ronald Reagan served our Nation with honor and distinction. He will long be remembered for his warm wit, his quiet strength, and ability to inspire through his words and his deeds. His actions as President reshaped the course of the 20th century, and his unbridled optimism helped restore America's faith in itself.

Today we also remember Ronald Reagan for his leadership and for his unwavering vision that Americans remain for all a land of hope, promise, and opportunity.*4

It is important to have more "grass-roots support" for people to win. GSBPA would like our friends to share some idea of the following article:

Thursday, June 24, 2004
Copyright @ Las Vegas Review-Journal

JANE ANN MORRISON: In today's politics, grass-roots effort requires more seed money*5

The definition of "grass-roots support" is changing.

Years ago, it meant that a candidate's neighbors, friends and supporters got out and spread the word. Or volunteers from each party called and walked.

Then the unions made it more sophisticated, going door to door to their members, urging them to vote for union-friendly candidates.

Today you can buy grass-roots support, which is what Las Vegas City Councilman-elect Steve Wolfson did.

With his $100,000 war chest, he hired Billy Rogers' Southwest Group to walk door to door, find out the specific issues voters cared about and follow up with letters on those issues. It was part of a coordinated effort with Gary Gray, who handled the political and advertising strategies, including the nine Wolfson mailers.

One sign that it worked: After the only candidates' forum for the Ward 2 race, a man explained to me how he had been wavering between Gabriel Lither and Wolfson.

Wolfson won his support by coming to his door personally and talking issues with his wife, then soon afterward receiving a letter from the criminal defense attorney about those issues.

In addition, Wolfson would follow up with a personal phone call several days later. He spent six to seven hours on the phone toward the end, calling voters.

"I asked voters what's important to them and made them feel like I care," he said on the night of the election, before realizing that didn't sound quite right. Then he added, "Because I do care."

"It was very personal; it was grass roots for the 21st century," Wolfson consultant Gray said.*6

But it didn't come cheap.

The first campaign finance reports showed that Wolfson paid Southwest Group $38,000, and another $43,000 went to Gray & Associates. Those numbers probably will increase in the next report after final bills are paid.

But Lither, who was in second place trailing Wolfson by only 245 votes, has his own grass-roots support. The deputy attorney general, who had fought to limit the size of the Red Rock Station resort and most often is described as a neighborhood activist, had backing from walkers from the Culinary union Local 226, foes of the anti-union Station Casinos.

These walkers weren't hired by Lither; they were part of the union effort.

"This was not David and Goliath," Rogers said after Wolfson was the declared winner and Lither was in second place. "These were evenly matched operations doing everything they could to ID their voters and get them to the polls."

Sarah Jaffa, one of the 15 Wolfson walkers from Southwest Group, said she was nervous on Election Day when she overheard a Culinary walker say someone hadn't voted, "but she gets off at 3."

The Culinary effort to get out the vote was frightening, Jaffa said, because organizers knew details about potential union voters, such as what hours they worked, which made it easier to find potential voters and urge them to vote.

Jaffa called Rogers and said the main competition wasn't from commercial real estate agent Ric Truesdell, who had raised the most money next to Wolfson. It was from Lither, who had reported raising less than $4,000.

For Wolfson, it was a long, nerve-wracking evening. "At first, I was encouraged. I had a 10-point lead." But that lead started dipping. He finally won with a 4 percentage-point victory when final results rolled in at 9 p.m.

The 6 percentage-point drop as voting progressed showed that the Culinary effort helped, even if it didn't succeed.

(This marks the second City Council race in which the union's efforts failed to bring victory. In 2003, the union worked on behalf of Las Vegas Councilman Michael McDonald, who lost to Janet Moncrief. What does this bode for Democratic Assemblyman David Goldwater's union-backed challenge of Clark County Commissioner Lynette Boggs McDonald?)

"When I first started this, there were tons of stay-at-home moms, and you could get them to make calls all day," Gray said. "They don't exist anymore because the moms have full-time jobs, just like their husbands."

Now you hire your "grass-roots support."

If you have enough money.

Dr. Stephen Tong's USA/Canada Gospel Rally in Las Vegas
By Tiffany Chang

Rev. Stephen Tong led a team to have his "Dr. Stephen Tong USA/Canada Gospel Rally" in Las vegas on June 21, 2004. He had his speeches for the public and welcomed by overseas Chinese people on Monday and Tuesday. Rev. Tong will continue his final speech on "Wisdom of Life" today at the convention room of China Town. Before came to Las Vega, he had completed his Gospel Rally in Toronto, Canada and Atlanta, U. S. A. on 6/11-13 and 6/18-20, respectively. He will also have the Gospel Rally in New York, Vancouver, and Los Angeles on 6/25-27, 7/2-4, 9/20-22, respectively.

The Rev. Dr. Stephen Tong is an evangelist and a theology lecturer. He is also the founder of the Stephen Tong Evangelistic Ministeies International(STEMI) and the Reformed Institute of Christianity and the 21th Century. At the age of 17, Rev. Tong gave of himself to the Lord to serve Him in evangelism. To date, his ministry has lasted more than four decades, and he continues to travel widely, preaching for the sake of the name of the Lord, His Word and His church. By the power of the Lord, he has been fighting the good fight, battling with the fallen reason and corrupted souls of men, all in the hope to bring them back to Jesus Christ. Despite his age, his perseverance and tenacity are reasons why we often give thanks to God for him.*1

The following is the first song chosen by Rev. Tong for his Gospel Rally. It is entitled "We're Marching to Zion":

1. Come, we that love the Lord, and Let our joys be known; join in a song with sweet accord, joint in a song with sweet accord and thus surround the throne, and thus surround the throne.

2. Let those refuse to sing, who never knew our Gog; but children of the heav'nly King, but children of the heav'nly King may speak their joys abroad, may speak their joys abroad.

3. Then let our songs abound, and very tear be dry; we're marching thru Immanuel's ground, we're marching thru Immanuel's ground to fairer worlds on high, to fairer worlds on high.

We're marching to
Zion, beautiful, beautiful,Zion; we're marching upward to Zion, the beautiful city of God.*2

The Music Director of this Gospel Rally is Jahia Ling. He is a very famous music director with performances and grand prizes from many countries all around the world. His name in Chinese is Lin Wong Hja (by Chinese pronounciation). "I'd experience to invite him to peformance on our Gospel Rally at U. S. $20. 000.00 for just one night," said Rev. Tong in his speech on June 21, 2004 in Las Vegas. Jahia is now the Music Director of Copley Symphony Hall in San Diego, U. S. A.

Dr. Stephen Tong wrote the book entitled "Wisdom of Life" in Chinese on March 1984.*3 Glory to the God that we are pleased to post the following good words about wisdom from the "Bible":

If you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding , and if you look for its as silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, then you willunderstand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God. For the Lord gives wisdom, and from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. ---Proverbs 2:3-6

The fear of the Lord-- that is wisdom, and to shun evil is understanding. ---Job 28:28*4

Jesus said, "Everyone who bears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock."
---Matthew 7:24-25*5

God bless you! Please join Rev. Dr. Stephen Tong of his Gospel Rally at 6:30 p. m. this evening at the convention room on the second floor in China Town of Las Vegas.

Money cut through the clutter of a crowded field in Tuesday's special election, winning criminal defense attorney Steve Wolfson a seat on the Las Vegas City Council.*2

Wolfson, who outspent each of his 11 opponents, won the Ward 2 council seat with 23 percent of the vote and edged out by 245 votes deputy attorney general and community activist Gabriel Lither.

"I'm going to treat Ward 2 residents like I like to be treated," said Wolfson, 50, who gathered Tuesday evening with about three dozen supporters at the Claim Jumper restaurant on West Charleston Boulevard.

Wolfson, the husband of District Judge Jackie Glass, raised $100,841 for his campaign, much of it from the legal community. He spent $80,603 on the race.*3

Wolfson, who said he had spent six hours on the phone Tuesday urging supporters to go to the polls, attributed his victory to the calls and an intense door-to-door campaign.

Several Ward 2 residents who voted for Wolfson said they were impressed by the amount of contact they had with the Wolfson camp. Grace Thorpe, who cast her ballot for Wolfson at the Veterans Memorial Leisure Service Center, said she was visited three times by Wolfson's representatives during the monthlong campaign.

"What dedication," she said. "I believe it probably transfers to the candidate."

Others, such as Victoria Brocato, said they voted for Wolfson because of endorsements he had received from police and firefighter groups.

The election was called to fill the term of Lynette Boggs McDonald after her appointment to the County Commission.

Wolfson was the first candidate in the nonpartisan race to send fliers. He erected roadside signs featuring him in front of Red Rock Canyon.

Lither had built his name as the leader of the fight to reduce the height of the proposed Red Rock Station casino tower, contending it would degrade the quality of life in the area and block views of Red Rock scenery.

After learning of his victory, Wolfson said one of his first meetings as a member of the City Council will be with Lither. He said he wanted Lither's ideas on what needs to be done in the district, bordered by Red Rock on the west, Torrey Pines Drive on the east, Charleston on the south and Summerlin Parkway on the north.

More than 17 percent of the district's 35,000 voters cast ballots Tuesday, a turnout similar to a typical municipal election and a much larger showing than political observers had expected.

Political consultant Jim Ferrence said the high turnout favored Wolfson.

"That favors the guy who sent out the most mail and did the most advertising," he said.

Consultant Dan Hart said Wolfson's money gave him a fast start in the campaign and afforded him a more sophisticated organization.

"I think organization played a far larger role in this election than others because of the timing of it," Hart said of the abbreviated campaign. "People are not used to voting in the middle of June."

Although political observers said the money Wolfson spent gave him a distinct advantage, it also made him a lightning rod for criticism.

Last week, Republican activist Tony Dane sent out a flier accusing Wolfson of "putting sex offenders and those who prey on children back out on the streets." Wolfson responded the accusations were "false or deliberately misleading."

Earlier in the race, Lither, who raised less than $4,000 for his campaign, had accused Wolfson of using one mailer to deceive voters into believing the attorney had worked on the fight to limit the height of the Red Rock Station tower. In fact, Wolfson wasn't involved in the grass-roots battle against the local gaming company.

Wolfson, who also defeated Bob Genzer, a city employee with three decades of experience, and Richard Truesdell, chairman of the city's Planning Commission, acknowledged he would have a lot to learn.

"There's going to be a learning curve," he said. "I know that. The Ward 2 voters know that. But the values I bring to the job are key here."

Wolfson promised his door would always be open to his constituents.

Tuesday saw a flurry of campaigning by the dozen candidates vying for the job.

Truesdell, who received 14 percent of the vote, visited the four polling sites throughout the day to greet voters. Later, despite trailing in votes, he said he was pleased with his effort.

"This wasn't a weekend excursion for me," he said. "We deserve a sharper focus on our community."

At the West Sahara Library, Nevada Stupak handed out doughnuts, coffee, bottled water and snow cones to voters.

"All we can do is pray," said his mother, Sandy, who joined him as he met voters. "He worked like you wouldn't believe."

Nearby, Joanne Levy, a real estate agent, also chatted up voters heading to the polls.

Culinary union campaign workers helped Lither with last-minute campaigning.

Several joined him at his Maryville Avenue home in the evening with community activists who worked with him in opposition to the Red Rock Station tower.

"Does Wolfson have this?" he joked to the crowd, serving a plastic container of shrimp cocktail. "This is from the Costco I tried to stop that now I own a little bit of stock in because they worked with me on the (landscaping)."

Later, with 16 of 49 precincts reporting, Lither had narrowed the gap to just over 100 votes.

"I feel remarkably at peace," Lither said. "What's that show, it's like `Dead Man Walking.' "

Just 20 minutes later, the phone rang, and he learned he had lost by 245 votes.

"Oh well," he said. "We tried."

Governor Kenny Guinn of Nevada believes that we are wise to expand our marketing efforts and focus on developing markets in places such as Asia
By ROD SMITH and PAI of WBTI*1

Governor Guinn expressed that he can not overemphasize the significance and importance of bringing attention to all the attractions to Nevada at a time when it faces unprecedented competition for gaming customers. He believes that we are wise to expand our marketing efforts and focus on developing markets in places such as Asia.*2

MGM MIRAGE EXPANSION: Deal struck for resort in Macau ---Gaming giant reaches agreement with daughter of casino mogul

By ROD SMITH
GAMING WIRE

With the ink barely dry on its $7.9 billion proposal to buy Mandalay Resort Group, MGM Mirage on Monday entered into a joint venture agreement with Pansy Ho Chiu-king to develop, build and operate a hotel-casino resort in Macau.*3

"Macau is certainly part of our global expansion and growth strategy," said MGM Mirage spokesman Alan Feldman. "It also positions us in one of the key gaming markets anywhere in the world. Macau is big now and promises to be bigger, and we plan to be part of the reason for that growth."

MGM Mirage has made no secret of its interest in developing a hotel-casino in the former Portuguese colony off the coast of China.

It has been working to break into the market since 2002, when it lost out to Las Vegas developers Sheldon Adelson and Steve Wynn in bidding on a license concession to operate a casino in the Chinese enclave.

In February, MGM Mirage confirmed it still had its sights on developing a new casino in Macau, but said reports of an imminent deal between Stanley Ho and the Las Vegas gaming giant were premature.

Feldman said at the time that the company had made no secret of its interest in Macau but confirmed it was involved in ongoing conversations with Stanley Ho's daughter, Pansy, concerning a possible casino development in Macau.

MGM Mirage Chairman Terry Lanni said in a statement Monday that his company has always said it would like to participate in Macau under the right circumstances.

Hal Rothman, chairman of the history department at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, who has raised questions about the political stability of China, said the partnership with Ho's daughter insulates MGM Mirage compared with other Las Vegas operators that are moving into Macau.

Until Adelson opened his $240 million, 1-million-square-foot Sands Macau casino and entertainment complex in May, Stanley Ho had maintained a 40-year casino monopoly in Macau.

Wynn is planning to break ground later this month on a $705 million, 600-room hotel-casino.

The MGM Mirage development, set to open in 2006, will use the "MGM Grand" name and will be located on a waterfront site next to the planned Wynn Resorts hotel casino and near the Lisboa hotel-casino.

It will be built on the so-called Cotai Strip, where Adelson plans a $5 billion to $10 billion project that will turn a strip of reclaimed land into a huge resort complex of several hotels and casinos that will be patterned after the Las Vegas Strip.*4

The design and planning work is already under way for the MGM Mirage Macau project, half of which will be owned by each of the joint venture partners.

MGM Mirage declined to discuss details of the development, but Wall Street analysts estimated the hotel-casino will cost between $400 million and $500 million.

Deutsche Bank analyst Marc Falcone called the announcement "long anticipated," but said Macau represents a great opportunity for Las Vegas operators.

However, University of Nevada, Las Vegas professor and casino industry expert Bill Thompson said it "seems premature for (MGM Mirage) to be trying to flex its muscles overseas."

"They have a lot on their plate here. I hate to use the word 'greedy,' but they need to wrap up what they did (last week). This makes it look like they're on a feeding frenzy," he said.

The joint venture will operate in Macau as an independent entity under the terms of a subconcession. The agreement is subject to the approval of the government of Macau and other regulatory approvals, as well as the entry into a subconcession agreement with Sociedade de Jogos de Macau, the holder of the concession.

Pansy Ho is managing director of Shun Tak Holdings Ltd., a leading Hong Kong-based conglomerate operating four core businesses -- shipping, property, hospitality and investments.*5

MGM Mirage closed Monday at $47.88, up 33 cents, or 0.69 percent, on normal trading volume.

Jackie Glass appoints Adjunct Associate Professor of the Graduate School of Business and Public Administration (GSBPA) of Washington Business and Technology Institute (WBTI)
By Valorie Vega, Bill Young, and Tiffany Chang

*****Commit your way to the Lord;
trust in him and he will do this;
He will mak your righteousness
shine like the dawn,
the justice of your cause like the nooday sun. --- Psalm 37:5-6 of the Bible

"To gain trust, you have to give trust. As sappy as that sounds --- and it sounds like a gurgling vat of maple syrup --- it's the basis of all successful professional relationships," wrote Rosanne Badowski.*1

The Titus 2:7-8 of Bible tells us that, "In everything set ...an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness and soundness of speech that cannot be condemmed."*2

In meeting with the large and growing population of public employees in the states of Asia and Nevada, Washington Business and Technology Institute (WBTI) will open its training programs for the increasing graduate study and research needs of professional public administrators. To emphasize the balance of the practicality and theoraticality of the programs, the Graduate School of Business and Public Administration (GSBPA) of WBTI has supported by many high-ranking officials of Nevada in offering their times, experiences, and knowledge to teach at an honorary or adjunct capacity.*3

"Through the recommendation by our several faculty members including District Judge Valorie Vega, Ms. Jackie Glass has been appointed Adjunct Associate Professor of the Graduate School of Business and Public Administration (GSBPA) of Washington Business and Technology Institute (WBTI) on March 9, 2004," announced Dr. John Wang, Spokesman of WBTI, on March 10, 2004 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Following the spirit of entrepreneurship, Jackie Glass has always been willing to take a challenge head on. Now she is on her challenge!

While still in high school, Jackie worked as a waitress to help buy her school supplies and school clothes. When she decided to attend the University of Georgia, she continued as a waitress and worked her way through college. She took on extracurricular assignments, and earned a degree in journalism.

Her journalism career brought Jackie to Las Vegas in 1978 where she began as a radio news reporter. She moved quickly to television and served as both a morning anchor and crime beat reporter. As she followed the course of the trials she covered, she watched attorneys in action, and knew she could do as well. A new challenge lay before her.

Once again, she worked her way through college, graduating from the University of San Diego School of Law. In 1984, Jackie passed the Nevada Bar exam before graduation, received her Juris Doctor Degree,*4 was admitted to the Nevada Bar, and married her husband, Steve Wolfson.

With her husband, Jackie worked to build their successful law practice while helping at her daughters' school, chaperoning field trips to Washington, DC, supporting the Girl Scouts and projects such as Nevada Reading Week.

On the professional side, Jackie has lectured at the UNLV Boyd School of Law, spoke on law topics at local high schools, and appeared on the KLVX show, "Law for the Layman". She has devoted years as a hearing master to juvenile, domestic and paternity issues as well as criminal law.

She credits her seventeen years of legal experience and her work as a journalist on the crime beat for giving her an insight for the law, the role of the judiciary, the needs of victims, and for ways to make our system work better.

She served as a member of the Las Vegas Housing Authority Board and spent six years as a Board Member of the Senior Citizens Law Project.

As a District Court Judge of Department 5, Nevada, Jackie Glass is part of a new generation involved with her family, her profession and her community to make a difference for all of us here in our Silver State.

People with integrity live with clear consciences. "To do what is right and just is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice," stated in the Proverbs 21:3 of Bible.*5

"I agree with Judge Valorie Vega's idea to be honored as a Fellow of the Public Administration Institution (PAI) of Washington Business and Technology Institute (WBTI). She wrote: 'It will undoubtedly provide me with avenuess for exploring improvements in public services to which I am most dedicated.' I'm glad also to share the similar position as its faculty member--- Obligatory Legal Counselor of Pan Pacific and Asian American Forum (PPAAF).

"It's significant. Dr. Tony Lei told me that for community service --- that based on 'love in action is service above self' --- the abundanct reward from one's humune love, spiritual excellence, and professionalism of expertise are far more greater than solely his or her title," said Jackie Glass, Esq. on April 18, 2002. Jackie is now a famous District Judge of Nevada.*6

On March 9, 2004 at the Event and Dinner Party held by the Asian American Community for Ms. Ellen Knowlton, Special Agent in Charge, FBI, as the Speaker; Jackie was very pleased to learn from Dr. Tony Lei, President of WBTI, that she was challenged with a teaching professionalism in the Graduate School of Business and Public Administration of WBTI for our community at an adjucnt capacity.*7

"As a bridge between the business and university, the integrity of community service and academic research of Washington Business and Technology Institute (WBTI) will help Nevada go advance for the cooperation and development in education, business, and culture among international countries. As an Adjunct Associate Professor of the Graduate School of Business and Public Administration (GSBPA) of WBTI, it's my pleasure to extend my knowledge, experience, and professionalism in public service for community and education at the adjunct capacity,"*8 said Jackie Glass, District Judge of Nevada, at the event and dinner party by Unity Council of Nevada in Lindo Michoacan Mexican Restaurant on April 28, 2004 in Las Vegas.*9

Jerry Tao has a good reputation around the courthouse --- He said that 'With your help, I'd like to continue to serve our community as your County Coomissioner'
By JANE ANN MORRISON and PAI of WBTI*1

It's our pleasure to post the following Commentary for community service through the courtesy of the largest newspaper of Nevada --- "Las Vegas Review-Journal":

JANE ANN MORRISON: Campaign finance questions don't take Maxfield challenger off message

Deputy District Attorney Jerry Tao is indignant when asked whether his daddy is funding his challenge of Clark County Commissioner Chip Maxfield.

The political novice, while a prosecutor, doesn't think he needs to do any more than say: It ain't so.

The Democrat who wants to unseat the GOP incumbent obviously didn't listen to President Reagan's mantra, "Trust, but verify."

Tao moved here three years ago. He has a good reputation around the courthouse.*2

He also has an edgy Web site that features "The Chip Maxfield conflict-o-meter." It lists the specific votes on which Maxfield abstained and states: "On each of these votes, Chip couldn't do the job he was elected to do."

By Tao's count through February, Maxfield, an engineer with Southwest Engineering, abstained 175 times in the first three years of his term.

The financing of Tao's campaign came into question after he filed his campaign contribution report in February. He reported raising more than $187,000, which puts him within spitting distance of Maxfield's $233,000 war chest.

However, he said $150,000 was a loan from himself and his father, Louis Tao, an attorney living in McClain, Va.

Separately, Tao listed a $10,000 contribution from his dad, which is no problem since the maximum contribution in Nevada is $5,000 for the primary and $5,000 for the general election.

But family members can't loan candidates money. Such a loan might be a violation of state law. The Maxfield campaign kindly brought it to my attention.

Tao had initially told the Las Vegas Sun the money was from a home equity loan.

In 1993, he and his parents bought a home for him to live in in Manhattan Beach, Calif. It is now a rental.

Later, he told me he obtained a $250,000 second mortgage on that home in January 2003 and that's the source of the $150,000 loan. He said he mistakenly included his father's name when reporting the loan on his campaign finance report.

The original purpose of the loan, he said in an e-mail, was to improve his Las Vegas home. However, legally, he said he can spend the money however he likes. County records show his residence in Las Vegas is 100 percent owned by his parents.

No records could be found of the second mortgage.

When I asked to see the mortgage documents to prove the loan is from a bank and not his dad, the 36-year-old Tao made an offer.

"I'll make a deal with you: I will gladly show you documents relating to my mortgage, if Chip agrees to show you documents revealing how much of his personal income as an engineer is derived from businesses that have matters pending before the commission and which are creating all of those conflicts of interest."

The prosecutor never proved it wasn't a loan from pop but managed to get back on message that Maxfield is too close to developers.

His point: Are developers hiring Maxfield's engineering firm to buy influence?

Maxfield, a civil engineer for 25 years and a partner in Southwest Engineering for 18 years, said out of about 600 items a month he votes on, he discloses and sometimes abstains if his firm does work for the applicant. He said his firm does no work with Clark County or any of the other boards he sits on, such as the Regional Transportation Commission. However, it does do work for other governments he doesn't oversee, such as North Las Vegas.

"If your firm represents them on projects in Clark County, we have an ethical obligation to disclose, and that's exactly what I do," Maxfield said.

Told of Tao's "deal," Maxfield said Friday, "I am disinclined to acquiesce. ...

"Jerry Tao has been unable to convince us he's innocent, so now he's desperately trying to confuse the voters," the commissioner said. "He's a deputy district attorney. He should know the importance of avoiding even the appearance of any impropriety. I'd hope he'd provide all the information, so that everybody would feel comfortable that he hasn't broken any campaign laws."

Since Tao decided against offering the evidence showing the $150,000 loan wasn't from family, this won't be the last time you'll hear about his financing.

But neither will Tao let go of his contention that Maxfield is too close to developers.*3

Global reunion for Tunghai University alumni
By PAI of WBTI*1

It's our pleasure to post the following interesting information for our Tunghai University alumni through their courtesy (for alumni and community service only but not for advertising):

Dear Dorothy(,)

Replying to your recent concern, we can make changes on the second day to Hoover Dam, Lake Mead fish feeding, and we can even add a stop at the M&M chocolate factory for free. Try and visit the beautiful Cactus Garden in front of the chocolate factory. Begin the day by pick everyone up from the hotel at noon for lunch. Afterward we will proceed to Hoover Dam for a 4.5 hours tour. We should be back at the hotel before 6:00pm. That will allow time for everyone to participate in one of the chosen show.*2

Since the meeting space is quite expensive in any of Las Vegas hotel. We suggest for you to utulize the space at the outsdie restaurant. Example: welcome dinner start at 6:00pm, our pick up is at 2:30pm when the restaurant is nice and quite we can reserve a meeting space just for your group. Then, we will start the and wine at 5:00pm, then the dishes will follo(w) at 6:00pm. We then proceed a night tour starting at 7:30pm.

During the Mini Circle, we can create some breakfasts and lunch for the group. We will get more into the detail of it somewhere down the line. It would probably $7 for breakfast and $9 for lunch.

Please comment on this and we will discuss further.*3

Truely yours
David Huang

FATHER'S DAY: King of the Grill

Is it primal Laziness (?) Whatever the reason, men are drawn to cooking outdoors

Today, as Americans celebrate both Father's Day and the official arrival of summer, the odds are good that the valley will be peppered with plumes of smoke rising from backyard barbecues.*2

It's safe to say, most of these burning pits o' charcoal or gas-spewing barbecue jets will be manned, as it were, by men.

Men and open fire. The link is probably as old as both fire and the Y chromosome.

What is it that makes a guy who's all thumbs in the kitchen a self-styled aficionado of slapping steaks around on an outdoor grill?

One school of thought says it's an atavistic instinct that dates back to man's history as hunter-gatherer.

Another says that, well, it's just about the taste of food that's cooked outdoors.

But the truth probably lies, as it often does, somewhere in-between.

First, though, make no mistake that Father's Day is a big one for America's barbecue-loving menfolk.

Father's Day is "a very, very big day for us," says Ed Fisher, manager of Barbeques Galore, 1124 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. "I'll be working my regular days off to help my guys."

Each year, in the days leading up to Father's Day, "you notice the wives buying barbecue grills for husbands and kids coming in to buy (barbecue) tools for dad," Fisher says.

According to the Hearth, Patio & Barbecue Association, about two-thirds of American men serve as their households' grillmeisters, even if the woman of the house is more likely to decide when dinner will be prepared outdoors and choose the menu.

"The wives love it," Fisher says. "It gets them out of the kitchen, and it keeps the kitchen clean."

Fisher figures he has been grilling since the age of 8 or 9.

"My dad was really into grilling," he explains. "As a child, I remember when he had his barbecue going, he had a little tailgate-type barbecue and I'd do some hot dogs on there, trying to imitate dad."

For Fisher, barbecuing takes men "back to the essentials."

The tending of an open fire. The choreography of flipping and turning. The primitive carnivorous instincts ignited by smelling a roasting piece of meat.

There is, Fisher says, a "mystique about barbecuing."

Jeff Special, owner of Bob Taylor's Ranch House, 6250 Rio Vista St., doesn't completely discount any of that. But he has a more simple explanation of why men find backyard grilling so appealing.

"For me, especially owning a steakhouse, it's just the flavor of a grilled steak," he says.

"I even grill shrimp and scallops on the grill. I don't know, grilling is just such a great way to cook and give great flavor."

"And, for me, it's convenient," Special adds. "I'd rather throw a steak on the grill than cook stuff in the kitchen and have to clean up the kitchen."

Granted, laziness and an aversion to cleaning up can be considered male traits, too. But does Special give any credence to that whole primitive playing-with-fire thing?

"I don't see that," he says.

"For me, it's the food and the smell. And the end result is such a great product."

Some might even ascribe a more selfish basis to maledom's love of outdoor cookery. Calor, a liquid propane gas supplier in the United Kingdom, says two-thirds of women questioned in a survey earlier this year believe men take control of the family barbecue out of pure ego: They just like to be the center of attention.

The company's press release quotes a psychologist who opines that modern males' "obsession with controlling the barbecue could stem from a primeval obsession with fire as well as an attempt at regaining power in today's female empowered society."

To which the average American male might say: Huh?

Then, quickly regaining his wits, the average American male might counter that he has so, too, evolved.

Consider, he might say, the fact that newfangled gas-powered grills have become the standard among America's backyard chefs, replacing all that fire-tending business with the simple modern turn of a switch.

According to the Hearth, Patio & Barbecue Association, 69 percent of American grill owners have a propane or natural gas grill, while 47 percent own a charcoal grill.

Fisher happens to be one of the 18 percent of Americans who own both a charcoal and a gas grill. That, he says, is a popular option among barbecuers who value both the flavor of charcoal or wood grills and the convenience of gas.

Women also seem to value the convenience of gas grills, he adds, not to mention such features as side burners that allow the preparation of an entire meal outdoors.

However, says Special -- who also has both a gas and a charcoal grill -- "me, personally, I never used the side burner on those. I just bought a new (gas) grill and didn't even get a side burner."

In his charcoal grill, Special uses mesquite rather than charcoal.

"I'm so used to it in the restaurant," he says, even if, for convenience, "I'll use gas."

American men also have evolved in terms of what to put on the grill. While surveys say hamburgers, steak, hot dogs and chicken breasts remain the most frequently barbecued items, Fisher says his perfect Father's Day cookout menu would consist of "some type of seafood."

"Pretty much everybody can do a steak," he says. "Everybody's gotten to where they can put a chicken on the rotisserie.

"I love doing south of the border cooking on the grill. I love doing the fajitas on the grill, the quesadillas. Or Philly steak on the grill."

"You can do turkey, dressing, pie, pretty much anything you can do in the oven you can do in the grill now," Fisher notes.

Even noncarnivores are, figuratively speaking, embracing the backyard grill.

"I have noticed in the last few years we do have people come in who are hard-core vegans," Fisher says. "We do a lot of grilling of vegetables and different things outside that you can enjoy just as much as steaks."

But even as Southern Nevada's men head out to their grills today for their Father's Day feasts, they may listen for the light tapping of feminine footsteps behind them.

"I've got to say that in the last five years, women have really been coming into the market," Fisher says.

Manufacturers even are -- horrors! -- beginning to cater to the distaff market by creating barbecues with softer edges, Fisher says.

"I know, in some of the European markets and Australian markets, some barbecues actually come in pastel colors," he adds.

It's as if, Fisher jokes in mock indignation, the womenfolk are "taking clubs out of our hands."

So enjoy it while it lasts guys, and try to have a happy, if relatively evolved, Father's Day anyway.*3

GSBPA of WBTI's slogan for business and tourism--- To become more effective online communication in every online venue!
By GSBPA of WBTI*1

*****["Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed."
--- Proverbs 16 : 3
"He who loves a pure heart and whose speech is gracious will have the king for his friend." --- Proverbs 22 : 11 of the Bible
"All hard work brings a profit." --- Proverbs 14 : 23 of the Bible
"The reward for work done is the opportunity to do more." --- Jonas Salk, M.D.]

*****To be more successful for your Web site, you need to be favored by the most famous search engine services like Google! (www.google.com), Yahoo! (www.yahoo.com), Aol! (www.aol.com), Infoseek! (www.infoseek.com), among others.*****

On June 11, 2004, Nevada officials opened the first U.S. tourism office in China, hoping to boost the number of foreign visitors to the Silver State. Lorraine Hunt, Lt. Gov. of Nevada, led a delegation of state tourism and hotel representatives to China to celebrate the opening.

"The state hopes to attract five million Chinese tourists a year," said Bruce Bommarito, executive director of the Nevada Commission on Tourism,

He believes that China is the greatest potential market force in the world. "It's mind-boggling. The Chinese tourist is the highest-spending tourist in the world," said Bruce Bommarito.*2

Nevada is the only state in the country to obtain the required certification by the China National Tourism Administration to operate an office.

"Nevada is a popular destination for Chinese tourists. Officials there say over 90% of the 250,000 people who travel to the United States from China stop in Nevada, primarily Las Vegas."*3

Indeed, business achievement is the new yardstick of success in today's society. Therefore, business has become not only the fastest growing major in undergraduate institutions but also in graduate school of famous universities, nationally and internationally. The emphasis of the online communication skills and the quantitative analysis techniques with computers is one of the most important study for the art of success to the business students, professionals, executives, and owners.

In many ways, business school is at the center of this cultural phenomenon. For some, the business school is the passport to the boardroom, the ticket to the top of the corporate ladder. these schools, nationally and internationally, pump out the new generation of business leaders by hundreds of thousands. "They are the pipeline of raw material with which the nation's --- and the world's --- leading business build the future. And MBAs are not limited to the traditional corporate world: From Wall Street to Madison Avenue, from Sand Hill Road to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, today's MBAs lead organizations large and small, in every conceivable industry. They are the executives and entrepreneurs who power the economy."4

"UNLESS YOU'VE BEEN LIVING IN A CAVE, you've seen enormous changes in communications technology over the past two decades. From orbiting satellites routing long distance phone calls to email to undreamed-of growth of the Internet, the age of communicating online, using computers and networks, is upon us all," stated at the first paragraphy of the 'Introduction' of the book, "How to say it online: everything you need to know to master the new language of cyberspac," written by Kim Baker and Sunny Baker.*5

"And what could be better news? To keep in touch, there's nothing faster or cheaper than email. To gain access to information and people, the power of online communication expands your reach from the local to the global. To meet new friends and even romance a potential life partner, online venues provide rich opportunities (if you know the right things to say and the best way to say them). At school, the Internet places volumes of knowledge on ever subject at your fingertips, and at work, computer networks make business communication more efficient than ever." *6

Whether you are in business or in non-profit organization, you need to have a Web site. This seems to be a common wisdom in now- a-days. Think seriously about the needs of your market before you go onto the Web to make more money for business, to develop better non-profit organization, or to contribute to more community service. "It's hard to believe that Fred's Service Station really needs a Web Site to reap new profits. However, for some businesses and professional service firms, the Internet and web to gether offer viable marketing and distribution opportunities. Software companies, online magazines, and email order businesses can do quite well from the Web --- if the owners know how to say the right things on their sites. The Secrets of a Successful Web Site: Just having a site on the Web will do almost nothing to sell your products or services. To promote your Web site, there are three things you must do: (1). You must register your Web site with the best search engines. (2). You should consider using the many free and not free advertising opportunities on the Web. (3) You should search the Web regularly for competitive and related sites, where you can attach a link to your site."*7 To be more successful for your Web site, you need to be favored by the famous search engine services like Yahoo! (www.yahoo.com), Aol! (www.aol.com), Google! (www.google.com), Infoseek! (www.infoseek.com), among others.

"There is no longer any such thing as a purely national economy. The rest of the world is just too big to ignore, either as a market or as a competitor. If business schools do nothing other than to train their students to think internationally, they would have accomplished an important task," said John Young, CEO, Hewlett-Packard.*8

Innovation is the key to success, managers are looking everywhere in the global organization for new ideas. Modern companies would view Information technology (IT) as a major competitive differentiator. Strategic businesses emphazise the ueses of information technology for management. International companies develop their global IT platforms by integrating worldwide hardware, software, and Internet-based network architecture. Commuunication technology, for example the teleconferencing and computer networks, is making it possible for people from subsidiaries around the world to work together on project.

Many business are becoming global companies and moving toward transnational e-business strategies in which they integrate the global business activities of their subsidiaries and headquarters. The international dimemsions of managing global e-business technologies include dealing with cultural, political, and geoeconomic challenges posed by various countries for global marketplace. The e-business technologies are changing the distribution, relatonships, resources, and responsibilities of managers. Information Technology is helping managers of e-business to eliminate layers of amangement, enabling more collaborative forms of management, providing them with significant information technology resources, and confront them with major e-business and e-commerce challenge.

Commuunication technology, for example the teleconferencing and computer networks, is making it possible for people from subsidiaries around the world to work together on project.*9

In order to keep the online universe a productive, safe, communicative environment, it is interesting and worth to post the ten commandments for computer ethics. They were created by the Computer Ethics Institute: (1). Thou shalt not use a computer to harm other people. (2). Thou shalt not interfere with other people's computer work. (3). Thou shalt not snoop around in other people's files. (4). Thou shalt not use a computer to steal. (5). Thou shalt not use a computer to bear false witness. (6). Thou shalt not use or copy softwear for which you have not paid. (7). Thou shalt not use other people's computer resources without authorization. (8). Thou shalt not appropriate other people's intellectual output. (9). Thou shalt think about the social consequences of the program you write. (10). Thou shalt use a computer in ways that show consideration and respect.

A sucessful businessperson always know the old rule that says "It's easier to keep an existing customer than to find a new one." In online customer relationships, this rule is just as important. Your goal should not only to get new visitors, but to cultivate your customer base to yield repeat sales, services, and referrals from satisfied purchasers, clients, and patronagers. "Besides a good product or service, there are only three things you need for successful online customer relations: strong communication, common courtesy, and exemplary customer service. Unfortunately, these old-fashioned values are often missing in many companies' online promotional communication." *10

U. S. Secretary of Labor Elaine Chao received her B. A. degree in Economics with straight A's for all her four years at the famous Mount Holyoke College in New England. She obtained her M. B. A. degree from Harvard University in 1979. She also studied at M.I.T., Dartmouth College, and Columbia University.

At the time she was nominated by President Bush as the Secretary of Labor, she told her father that she does not intend to be an "Authoritative Official". She hoped that she could contribute to our society and nation.*13

Secretary Chao has received numerous awards for her professional accomplishments and community service. She is the recipient of 21 honorary doctoral degrees from colleges and universities around the world.

Secretary Chao is married to the Majority Whip of the United States Senate, Senator Mitch McConnell of Kentucky.

"Elaine L. Chao is the nation's 24th Secretary of Labor, representing a new generation of American leadership. Since her confirmation by the United States Senate on January 29, 2001, she has been dedicated to carrying out the Department of Labor's mission of inspiring and protecting the hardworking people of America. She is respected as an effective and articulate champion of the nation's contemporary workforce, acting quickly to focus the Labor Department on the modern realities of workers' lives." *14

"When President George W. Bush nominated Elaine L. Chao, the first Asian-American woman appointed to a President's cabinet in U.S. history, he described her as an individual with “sstrong executive talent, compassion, and commitment to helping people build better lives."

According to the U. S. Department of Labor, Secretary Elaine Chao's compassionate nature stems from her own background as an immigrant to this country at the age of eight. Her family's experience transitioning to a new country, supported by one another and the kindness of friends and neighbors, taught her that encouragement is the key to fostering independence, and that Americans are naturally compassionate people. This inspired her to dedicate most of her professional life to ensuring that people have the opportunity to pursue lives of dignity and financial independence.

As Director of the Peace Corps, Ms. Elaine Chao was one of the first Americans to personally embrace the people of the former communist bloc into the family of democratic nations, establishing Peace Corps programs in the Baltic nations of Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and the newly independent states of the former Soviet Union. Later, as President and Chief Executive Officer of United Way of America, she restored public trust and confidence after the organization was tarnished by mismanagement and financial abuse, thus preserving the nation's largest institution of private charitable giving.

The experience Ms. Elaine Chao gained at the United Way helping communities address their local needs prepared her to mobilize the Department of Labor to promote pathways to economic freedom for individuals and families working to achieve the American Dream. She describes her vision for America's workforce as “oone in which everyone can participate where jobs and opportunities are available for those leaving welfare, job training is accessible for those left behind, disability never bars a qualified person from the workplace, and where parents have an easier time balancing the responsibilities of work and home.

"Secretary Chao's previous government career includes serving as the Deputy Secretary at the U.S. Department of Transportation, Chairman of the Federal Maritime Commission, and Deputy Maritime Administrator in the U.S. Department of Transportation. She brings a wealth of business experience to the post, having worked as Vice President of Syndications at BankAmerica Capital Markets Group and a banker with Citicorp. Prior to her nomination as Secretary, she expanded her study of policy as a Distinguished Fellow at The Heritage Foundation, a Washington-based public policy research and educational institute. She was selected as a White House Fellow in 1983," states the Department.*15

Following the inspiration of the past many years of the accomplishment of Ms. Elaine Chao's contribution of humane spirit to our society, we have the persistense of Wou Shien's spirit for education here in America. If a coolie and hard woker like him could dedicate to eduction by offering all his income and life to build a school for children in his village, what should not for us to offer our efforts for our community? *16

"The mission of this School [Graduate School of Business and Public Administration (GSBPA) of Washington Business and Technology Institute (WBTI)] will emphasize the humanitarian orientation of public administration and the social responsibility of business management. Through academic entrepreneurship, we may expect the endeavor of this School for the community service based on humane spirit, led by Chairperson Elaine Chao of WBTI," said Dr. Dina Titus, Adjunct Professor of Administrative Strategies in GSBPA.*17 Nina Titus was born May 23, 1950 in Thomasville, Georgia. She graduated from College of William and Mary with A.B.. She received her M. A. and Ph. D. degrees from University of Georgia and Florida State University, respectively. She is a Senator and Minority Floor Leader of Nevada Senate. Dina is also a professor of Political Science in UNLV.

"Week in Review"

Senate Makes Progress on Defense Authorization - The Senate this week made progress on the Department of Defense budget authorization bill, debating and voting on several amendments. Senators overwhelmingly approved a bipartisan amendment to increase the Army's troop strength by 20,000. On a vote largely along party lines, the Senate defeated a measure that would have rolled back the tax cut for the wealthiest 1 percent of taxpayers to pay for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. A final vote on the DoD authorization is expected next week.

Reid Fights for Disabled Veterans- Senator Reid continued his long battle to end the unfair tax on disabled veterans, which deducts their disability benefits from their earned military retirement pay. The Senate on Friday adopted Reid's amendment to speed up the concurrent receipt of disability benefits and retirement pay for veterans who are 100 percent disabled.

Senate Intel Panel OKs Report- The Senate Intelligence Committee Thursday night unanimously approved a 400-page report on the quality of U.S. intelligence prior to the war in Iraq. But Committee Chairman Pat Roberts (R-Kan) estimated that the CIA has blacked out about half of the panel's work.

AARP Endorses Drug Reimportation- The AARP this week began a lobbying effort to support a bipartisan bill that would allow the reimportation of prescription drugs from Canada. The Medicare bill that President Bush signed last year does not allow reimportation

"INSIDER'S CALENDAR"
The Senate will convene Monday, June 21, at 1:00 p.m., and resume consideration of the Department of Defense Authorization bill. The Senate will continue to process amendments to the bill. Any roll call votes ordered will begin at approximately 5:30 p.m.

When the Senate completes action on the DOD bill, the Senate is expected to begin consideration of the Class Action Reform bill.

Governor Kenny Guinn of Nevada announces his message on "CORRECTIONS MAKES IMPORTANT PROGRESS IN PROGRAMMING, FACILITIES"
By Kenny Guinn*1

CORRECTIONS MAKES IMPORTANT PROGRESS IN PROGRAMMING, FACILITIES

The Nevada Department of Corrections has been working diligently during the course of my administration to bring our state correctional system into line with nationally accepted principles and practices. Research proves that inmates who receive institutional programming while in prison, and guidance and support as they re-enter communities, are less likely to return to prison.*2

On June 16, the legislature's Interim Finance Committee approved two projects that should help further the goal of delivering a responsive and efficient correctional system for our citizens. The first project is the Casa Grande Transitional Housing Center in Las Vegas, which could open as early as June 2005. This facility will be a comprehensive community-based residential facility that will assist offenders in the custody of the Department of Corrections as they re-enter mainstream society. Casa Grande will provide a more cost-effective, program-intensive alternative to the traditional prison environment, and the department is hopeful that this program will lower the number of repeat offenders.

The second project marks a policy change with respect to the Southern Nevada Women's Correctional Facility in North Las Vegas. For seven years, this facility has been operated and run by a private company. As a result of the action taken by Interim Finance Committee, the state Department of Corrections, starting on October 1, will take over operation of the Women's Correctional facility. By doing so, the department of corrections will be able to utilize existing resources within the department to improve institutional programming, the continuity of care, and better prepare female offenders to succeed as they are released into the community.

The risk to public safety is greater when offenders are released from prison without re-entry planning, transitional services, or community support. By investing in Casa Grande and taking over control of the Southern Nevada Women's facility, our state is paving the way for a safer and more cost-effective tomorrow. The State of Nevada is indeed fortunate to have an innovative Department of Corrections, ably led by Director Jackie Crawford and her excellent staff.*3

CARSON CITY ¡V Gov. Kenny Guinn today announced the appointment of certified wildlife biologist James B. Jeffress to the Nevada Board of Wildlife Commissioners.*2

¡§Jim¡¦s 31 years of service for the Nevada Department of Wildlife coupled with his extensive background in wildlife biology made him the clear choice for the position,¡¨ Gov. Guinn said. ¡§He has a sincere appreciation for Nevada¡¦s wildlife resources and a strong desire to ensure that they may continue to be enjoyed by future generations. I am confident that he will make an exceptional addition to the Board of Wildlife Commissioners.¡¨

NEVADA GOVERNOR KENNY GUINN HONORS LAS VEGAS HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT WHO ACHIEVED PERFECT ACT SCORE
By Office of the Governor*1

CARSON CITY - Gov. Kenny Guinn today honored Thomas Kaiser, a senior at Palo Verde High School in Las Vegas who was one of only 41 students in the nation who achieved a perfect score in the ACT Assessment college-entrance test, in a ceremony in Las Vegas.*2

"I would like to congratulate Thomas on this singular achievement," Gov. Guinn said. "Thomas' exceptional accomplishment places him in a remarkable group of young people in our country. Perfection is difficult to attain in academics, and I'm sure this is just the beginning of many more notable accomplishments in Thomas¡¦ life. Our state is very proud of this fine young man."

Kaiser, son of Kathleen and James Kaiser, was the only college-bound student in Nevada to achieve a 36, the highest possible composite score, on the October 2003 national test administration. About 1,300 Nevada students and 425,000 from across the nation completed the ACT examination on Oct. 25, 2003.

The ACT consists of tests in English, mathematics, reading and science. Each test is scored on a scale of 1-36, and a student's composite score is the average of the four test scores. For purposes of comparison, the average composite score for the national high school graduating class of 2003 was 20.8.*3

She Walks in Beauty
By George Gordon Byron

SHE walks in beauty, like the night

Of cloudless climes and starry skies;

And all that¡¦s best of dark and bright

Meet in her aspect and her eyes:

Thus mellow¡¦d to that tender light

Which heaven to gaudy day denies.

One shade the more, one ray the less,

Had half impair¡¦d the nameless grace

Which waves in every raven tress,

Or softly lightens o¡¦er her face;

Where thoughts serenely sweet express

How pure, how dear their dwelling-place.

And on that cheek, and o¡¦er that brow,

So soft, so calm, yet eloquent,

The smiles that win, the tints that glow,

But tell of days in goodness spent,

A mind at peace with all below,

A heart whose love is innocent!*1

Love's Philosophy
By Percy Bysshe Shelley

The fountains mingle with the river,

And the rivers with the ocean;

The winds of heaven mix forever,

With a sweet emotion;

No thing in the world is single;

All things by a law divine

In another's being mingle *

Why not I with thine?

See* the mountains kiss high heaven,

And the waves clasp one another;

No sister flower could be forgiven

If it disdained its brother;

And the sunlight clasps the earth,

And the moonbeams kiss the sea;

What are all these kissings worth,

If thou kiss not me?*2

Impressed by the beauty of the flier for the cover of my book entitled "Entering the Realms of gold," which was designed by Dr. Tony Lei on the WBTI website in the middle of May this year, I used to point out that,"The creative design for my poetry by Washington Business and Technology Institute (WBTI) has won applause from the public for its selfless contribution to the encouragement and promotion of the Chinese literature all around the World. I'm deeply impressed by its effort and wisdom of humane creed to community service and spiritual belief." The webside is brought to you by the Las Vegas Review-Journal through its Communitylink on: http://communitylink.reviewjournal.com/lvrj/wbti.

The following flier of translations in Chinese for the above two poems are in my book entitled "Entering the Realms of gold," which was published by Englighten Noah Publishing*3 on May, 2004.

***(This is in processing today on June 8, 2004. We're waiting for its completion by joining the parts of the Chinese translation of the two poems.)

*****Please take a view of the Chinese translation of the two poems in the following flier:
