Governor Kenny C. Guinn has issued a proclamation declaring October as Cyber Security Awareness Month. Cyber security presents a continuous flow of new challenges each day. Phishing scams, identity theft, worms and viruses are but a few of the threats that Nevada ∏s Citizens face; as such we all need to be informed and become smart computer and Internet users.*1

In recognition of Cyber Security Awareness Month the Nevada Office of Information Security (OIS) invites you to visit their website at http://infosec.nv.gov . The website is designed to be a helpful resource for all Nevada Citizens and is particularly suited to State Government. There you can view the Governor∏s Cyber Security Awareness proclamation, new Public Services Announcements (PSA) provided by the Multi-State Information Sharing and Analysis Center , the October OIS newsletter, and other educational information designed to increase everyone∏s cyber security awareness.

As the new Chief Information Security Officer for the State of Nevada , I appreciate the Governor∏s recognition of the importance of Cyber Security Awareness, and encourage everyone in the State to increase their awareness of Cyber Security and improve their ability to protect themselves.*2

The skills of human relations are important!

"Only 15 percent of a businessperson's success could be attributed to job knowledge and technical skills. An essential element but a small overall contribution. It showed that 85 percent of one's success would be determined by what they call 'ability to deal with people' and 'attitude'," showed the Carnegie Foundation study once. Sensitvity to the needs and desires of others people ultimately leads to success. Sir James Barrie told us that, "Those who bring sunshine to the lives of others cannot keep it from themselves."

We are pleased to quote the following five short but meaningful ones:

"Ms. Nancy Saitta was appointed Adjunct Associate Professor of the Graduate School of Business and Public Administration (GSBPA) of Washington Business and Technology Institute (WBTI) on December 17, 2003. On behalf of the Faculty and Board members of WBTI, President Dr. Tony Lei will hold a celebration dinner party to welcome her as one of our excellent faculty members of the Graduate School," Dr. John Wang, Spokesman of WBTI announced on December 18, 2003 in Las Vegas, Nevada, U. S. A.*1

A celebration dinner party for her appointment was held by President Dr. Tony Lei of WBTI at the Lillies Langtrys Restaurant in Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino on May 11, 2004 in Las Vegas.

"It's my great honor to be named by President Dr. Tony Lei as an Associate Professor of the Graduate School of Business and Public Administration of Washington Business and Technology Institute," said District Judge Nancy Saitta of Nevada at the above Party.

Ms. Nancy Saitta received her Juris Doctor in 1986 from Wayne State University. She earned her Bechelor of Science Degree, Magna Cum Laude in 1983 from Wayne State University. Nancy was born in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of Alfred V. and Virginia M. Meyer. Married to Joseph J. Saitta, she has four children and three grandchidren. Nancy has been a Southern Nevada resident since 1990.*2

Ms. Nancy Saitta was elected to the Eighth Judicial District Court in November 1998. She was appointed to Las Vegas Municipal Court in October, 1996. Prior to her appoinment, Nancy was a senior deputy attorney general where she serve as the Children's Advocate for the State of Nevada. Formerly, she was with Pearson and Patton and later because an associate at the law firm of Gentile and Porter.

Ms. Saitta began her legal career in 1984 as a law clerk for Walter D. Meyers in Detriot, Michagan. She joined their firm as a criminal defense lawyer following graduation from law school. Nancy was an associate professor at Wayne State University, Department of Criminal Justice. She taught Litigation I and II at the American Institute for Paralegal Studies. She teaches in the criminal justice department of the Univeristy of Phoenix. Nancy has been a keynote speaker and faculty member at several national conferences.

Judge Saitta was also an arbitrator for the New York Stock Exchange Arbitration Panel during 1985. Her memberships include: CASA Foundation Board, Clark County Public Education Foundation, and Clark County Bar Association Executive Committee. She retains membership in several local national children's advocacy organizations. Nancy was appointed by the Governor to the Nevada State Juvenile Justice Commission. She created the Clark County Missing and Exploited Children Comprehensive Action Program ("M/CAP"), a program coordinated with the U. S. Department of Justice.

Nancy developed the Southern Nevada Fatality Review Team and the specialized court project for case management of Construction Defect cases. Her awards and honors include: the "For the Children" award presented by the Office of the Attorney General in recognition of her outstanding contribution to Nevada's children and the District Attorney Outstanding Service Award, and the Child Advocate of the year (2001).

Nancy had several teaching and academic appointments. On September 2000, she had "view From the Bench" -- Cross Examination on the Clark County Bar Association Continuing Education. Her Seminars and Training included: (1) The North american Symposium of Internationa Child Abduction -- sponsored by the ABA, Washington, D. C. (2) NationalAssociation of Attorneys General consumer Protection Seminar -- "violence in the Media and its Effects on Child," Madison, Wisconsin.*3

Dr. Tony Lei received the list of District Judge Nancy Saitta's recent accomplishments from the fax by her in the afternoon on November 14, 2003 as in the following:

1. Created the Complex Litigation Division - 8th Judicial District Court. 2. Received National Association of County Government Award for Complex Case Management Model. 3. Keynote speaker at West Coast Casualty Insurance and Construction Defect Conference, Anaheim, California. 4. Featured speaker at MC2 Construction Conference, Key West, Florida. 5. Nevada Trial Lawyers Annual Conference speaker re: "Abusive Litigation Tactics". 6. District Court Legislative Liasion to the 2003 Nevada Legislative Session.*4

The Graduate School of Business and Public Administration (GSBPA) is now one of the main institutions of Washington Business and Technology Institute (WBTI). "The mission of this School emphasizes the humanitarian orientation of public administration and the social responsibility of business management. The Sunday School held by Mrs. Belinda M. Liu on October 1, 2006 was impressive. We had many sisters and brothers including Miss Ying-Min Huang, Mr. Yang Shao, Mrs. Judy Lei, Miss Vanessa Li, Mr. John Lei, Miss Angel Lo, Dr. Tony Lei, and among others.

"Thank you for sharing your pictures of your missions trip to Africa. We are so happy looking those wonderful faces of African people,their smiles shows the great joy that they have in the Lord.
Truly, God's love is for everybody and that every tribes and every nations will praise the name of the Lord. We rejoice and greatly encourage of God's wonderful works in Africa. We are going to show this picture to our brethren here in Cambodia to let them know we are one big family in the Lord all over the world. Thanks and God Bless. Leofe," forwarded to Washington Business and Technology Institute by John Lei from the e-mail of Leofe, a missionary supported by Seattle's Bread of Life Christian Church. In her speech to the Women Conference in the morning on September 22, 2006, Mrs. Belinda M. Liu dilivered an amazing testimony. "Two weeks ago in my Sunday School, I met with an elder and wise man (Dr. Tony Lei). He told me that WBTI (Washington Business and Technology Institute) was interested in opening a special section for me which would emphasize the educational and spiritual value. As I read his business card, praise Lord! he's the President. I was quite excited and scared. I was worry not being able to answer him appoximately. I told him that I had no formal education from a bible college. As you know I've been eager to enhance my teaching in Bible with a special website for many years. Now, an angel has been sent from God for me. Just this Monday (9/18/06), I clicked on the Section ("Belinda Liu's Spiritual World" at
http://communitylink.reviewjournal.com/lvrj/wbti) and I found a wonderful performance of my many years accomplishments with nice pictures has been implemented. Hallelujah! (The daily website is established and supported by the largest English newspaper in Nevada, Las Vegas Review-Journal). Through the publication of searching leaders each every seven days, the potential visitors from Internet are more than a million." *6

With sicerely love to God, nothing is impossible!

On a previous Sunday, Mr. David Whitney prayed, announced news, and introduced Mr. John Lei to present the Togo Mission through video. John spoke that, "Enthusiastic responses were shown by the people of the several villages that we visited. In one of them, we had more than thirty of them baptized. During the trip, we hsd more than 40 of them surrendered to believe God. The whole mission was very blessed. They were so joyful. Praise God! God worked with us during the mission through our glorification in His name." The video and presentation were very nice.

"We need and thank sincerely your presence and effort to join River of Life Christian Church's world missions in order to glorify our God," pointed out John.

The 2006 9/10-11/12 Sunday School was held by Mrs. Belinda M. Liu the forth week on October 1, 2006. The subject is on the advanced part in the chapter of "Numbers" of the Bible. Her sincerity is calling us for prayers to Israel and Jews. Many enthusiatic individuals attended the Class.*7

Belinda and his husband Rev. Tong Liu, Senior Pastor of River of Life Christian Church, had worked for this church for more than ten years. She is also the founder of Double-Portion Ministries ("倍恩事奉中心"):

The Women Conference was held in Septmber 21-23, 2006 at River of Life Christian Church in Santa Clara, California. Mrs. Belinda M. Liu was one of the most important three Speakers. Thank you for your prayers for the Women Confernce starting the way that Spirit God would move in meetings and would use every speaker to release His messages to transform the lives of those who come.

Two books entitled 「女人的咒詛與祝福」and 「為孩子的屬靈品格禱告」, written by Mrs. Senior Pastor Belinda M. Liu, were signed with good wishes and given by her to Dr. and Mrs. Tony Lei. They are best sellers and famous. They will become one of the valuable collections of Washinton Business and Technology Institute (WBTI).

The spirit of both the innovation and entreprenuership has also motivated United States to be a leading and prosperous country. With its high-speed capability, Fiber Optics can convey mass quantity of images and voice information. It is because that the broadband technology such as Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) has been more and more developed. Moreover, because of the popular building of radio communication networks, wireless techniques may access important information from the web and condense it to be appeared on the small web connecting machines such as a hand-held screen. The open free software LINUX operating system can even connect various stations very easilly. All these advancement in science and technology, should be used to inspire the promotion of the quality of our daily life. In this new era of information and web works, we should add humanity concern into our thinking structures. God created the world. Everything can be decided by Him. As the value of the fellowship of Public Administration Institution of WBTI growing, we the people with intelligence and knowledge in administration, technology, science should enjoy a valuable and joyful life to serve our community and society with our efforts and wisdom.*13

Asking about how to open the file sent us by Pastor Hing-Chai Cheng, Ms. Jenny Long (Ms. Tao Long) wrote on August 23, 2006 that, "I can read all the articles and messages on your website. Maybe you will show me the file when we meet at the church." "I did click through the links on the site that you sent to me. I can open and read all the files there," wrote Jenny on August 22, 2006. In Proverbs 15 : 23 of the Bible, it stated that, "A man finds joy in giving an apt reply --- and how good is a timely word!" Jenny's enthusiastic concern and effort to WBTI have been highly appreciated.

"How do I go about contributing to your website? Must I create a new user-ID & then sign in? Cheers," asked Miss Orchid Soh by e-mail. Orchid was thanked and answered by WBTI that some writing or pictures through the e-mail to us would be highly welcomed.

To serve our brothers and sisters with article writing, WBTI used to inform them the draft and asked them for modification or comment. After the draft of an article (on 8/24/06) was informed to John, he replied with an e-mail that, "This is wonderful! Now more people will be blessed. Thank you!"

Lei and Jennifer Kung was also posted the next day.

His teachings are not only from the Bible and books but also from his experiences and testimonies in preaching the Gospel. I was impressed by his knowledge about the Bible and his passion on proclaiming the Gospel. May many people will be blessed by God through you. See you this Sunday."

This Sunday October 1, 2006, the Sermon was delivered by Rev. Hing Chai Cheng, Pastor of River of Life Christian Church. The subject was "You are my Witnesses". As the river that flows from the Holy Place, and the beauty of holiness brings worship anew. The 2006 theme is "Arise & Shine - Prepare the Way of the Lord." The Worship was directed by Pastor James Wang. The MC was David Whitney.

"Please pray for the English Service that the Lord will raise up more co-worker to serve the English speaking people and that through this ministry, He will increase our influence in Silicon Valley," stated the English Service on its video screen on October 1, 2006.

In her speech to the Women Conference in the morning on September 22, 2006, Mrs. Belinda M. Liu dilivered an amazing testimony. "Two weeks ago in my Sunday School, I met with an elder and wise man (Dr. Tony Lei). He told me that WBTI (Washington Business and Technology Institute) was interested in opening a special section for me which would emphasize the educational and spiritual value. As I read his business card, praise Lord! he's the President. I was quite excited and scared. I was worry not being able to answer him appoximately. I told him that I had no formal education from a bible college. As you know I've been eager to enhance my teaching in Bible with a special website for many years. Now, an angel has been sent from God for me. Just this Monday (9/18/06), I clicked on the Section ("Belinda Liu's Spiritual World" at
http://communitylink.reviewjournal.com/lvrj/wbti) and I found a wonderful performance of my many years accomplishments with nice pictures has been implemented. Hallelujah! (The daily website is established and supported by the largest English newspaper in Nevada, Las Vegas Review-Journal). Through the publication of searching leaders each every seven days, the potential visitors from Internet are more than a million." *1

On a previous Sunday, Mr. David Whitney prayed, announced news, and introduced Mr. John Lei to present the Togo Mission through video. John spoke that, "Enthusiastic responses were shown by the people of the several villages that we visited. In one of them, we had more than thirty of them baptized. During the trip, we hsd more than 40 of them surrendered to believe God. The whole mission was very blessed. They were so joyful. Praise God! God worked with us during the mission through our glorification in His name." The video and presentation were very nice.

"We need and thank sincerely your presence and effort to join River of Life Christian Church's world missions in order to glorify our God," pointed out John.

The 2006 9/10-11/12 Sunday School was held by Mrs. Belinda M. Liu the forth week on October 1, 2006. The subject is on the advanced part in the chapter of "Numbers" of the Bible. Her sincerity is calling us for prayers to Israel and Jews. She explained also the story and significance of Passover. Many enthusiatic individuals attended the Class.*2

Belinda and his husband Rev. Tong Liu, Senior Pastor of River of Life Christian Church, had worked for this church for more than ten years. She is also the founder of Double-Portion Ministries ("倍恩事奉中心"):

The Women Conference was held in Septmber 21-23, 2006 at River of Life Christian Church in Santa Clara, California. Mrs. Belinda M. Liu was one of the most important three Speakers. Thank you for your prayers for the Women Confernce starting the way that Spirit God would move in meetings and would use every speaker to release His messages to transform the lives of those who come.

Two books entitled 「女人的咒詛與祝福」and 「為孩子的屬靈品格禱告」, written by Mrs. Senior Pastor Belinda M. Liu, were signed with good wishes and given by her to Dr. and Mrs. Tony Lei. They are best sellers and famous. They will become one of the valuable collections of Washinton Business and Technology Institute (WBTI).

By the act of love itself, we are enriched. Love in action is service above self. Make service a part of our character and experience the abundant reward that comes from serving others. The Bible teaches: "... let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth ( 1 John 3:18)." Thank you for this opportunity for me to serve, and I hope to gain more knowledge, insight, and awareness about public service and community issues through your prestigious institution. The spirit of both the innovation and entreprenuership has also motivated United States to be a leading and prosperous country. With its high-speed capability, Fiber Optics can convey mass quantity of images and voice information. It is because that the broadband technology such as Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) has been more and more developed. Moreover, because of the popular building of radio communication networks, wireless techniques may access important information from the web and condense it to be appeared on the small web connecting machines such as a hand-held screen. The open free software LINUX operating system can even connect various stations very easilly. All these advancement in science and technology, should be used to inspire the promotion of the quality of our daily life. In this new era of information and web works, we should add humanity concern into our thinking structures. God created the world. Everything can be decided by Him. As the value of the fellowship of Public Administration Institution of WBTI growing, we the people with intelligence and knowledge in administration, technology, science should enjoy a valuable and joyful life to serve our community and society with our efforts and wisdom.*8

Asking about how to open the file sent us by Pastor Hing-Chai Cheng, Ms. Jenny Long (Ms. Tao Long) wrote on August 23, 2006 that, "I can read all the articles and messages on your website. Maybe you will show me the file when we meet at the church." "I did click through the links on the site that you sent to me. I can open and read all the files there," wrote Jenny on August 22, 2006. In Proverbs 15 : 23 of the Bible, it stated that, "A man finds joy in giving an apt reply --- and how good is a timely word!" Jenny's enthusiastic concern and effort to WBTI have been highly appreciated.

"How do I go about contributing to your website? Must I create a new user-ID & then sign in? Cheers," asked Miss Orchid Soh by e-mail. Orchid was thanked and answered by WBTI that some writing or pictures through the e-mail to us would be highly welcomed.

To serve our brothers and sisters with article writing, WBTI used to inform them the draft and asked them for modification or comment. After the draft of an article (on 8/24/06) was informed to John, he replied with an e-mail that, "This is wonderful! Now more people will be blessed. Thank you!"

"The Gospel of Jesus Christ; How to Become a Christian" and "How to Receive Jesus Christ as Your Savior and Thus Become a Christian" written by Kevin P. Gordon, Esq., were posted in this section on August 8-9, 2006. "I will leave for Togo, Africa tomorrow afternoon for a mission trip" written by John K. Lei and Jennifer Kung was also posted the next day.

Brothers and Sisters from the English Service responded with applauses:

"Dear Dr. and Mrs. Lei, Sorry for replying late. It was very nice meeting you on last Sunday afternoon at church. I appreciate your and John’s contributions to the Coffee/Tea Fellowship of English service. Thank you for your loving heart to each brother and sister. I will continue praying for John's mission trip at Togo. I'm sure the more he preaches the Gospel the more he will receive from God; with your support and love, this trip will be more meaningful and joyful to John," wrote Miss Merry Xiao on August 17, 2006. "Thank you for introducing me Kevin's articles. Actually I'm attending his Evangelism class on Sunday school. These articles are good notes for me . He is a great teacher for this class. His teachings are not only from the Bible and books but also from his experiences and testimonies in preaching the Gospel. I was impressed by his knowledge about the Bible and his passion on proclaiming the Gospel. May many people will be blessed by God through you. See you this Sunday."

"Dear Dr. Lei, It was very nice talking with you on Sunday at River of Life Christian Church. Thank you for your and your wife for providing food for the reception after the church service. I have attached the final versions of the two papers that I have written. They are both on the topic of how someone can receive Jesus Christ as their Savior and thus become a Christian. One is a two page version and one is a longer eight page version. Thank you for all of your help," wrote Kevin Gordon, Esq. After the articles were posted, he wrote again that "Thank you for posting my articles on the WBTI's website."

"Thanks. Here is the power point for last Sunday sermon. God bless you," wrote Pastor Hing-Chai Cheng.

"Thank you for passing this web. Yes, it is very nice to have you and auntie in this fellowship. And, your serving heart," wrote Miss Mariany Lee.

"Thank you for the information that you sent to me. I would like to write something to supporting our brothers and sister in the media, but my english writing is very bad. So let me learn more first than I would write in the media. Thanks God that you and Mrs. Lei joining our church and have participation in the serving God. May God bless all your family," wrote Miss Tine Lo.

"Thanks a lot for your message. The WBTI website is very nice. It contains a huge amount of information. Great!" wrote an e-mail from Ms. Lynn Ling Yang to us.

After taking a look at the WBTI's website, Ms. Savina Kao wrote to us that "It is great to get to know you and your wife on Sunday. Now I know why John becomes such an outstanding young man. :) It's also wonderful to know that your organization has been serving the community and our country. I hope we will get a chance to chat again on Sundays."

The Coffee/Tea Fellowship of the four Sundays in August, 2006 were highlightened by the "to serve and to give heartily" of Lei's family: John helped promote the Sevice and Fellowship. Judy coocked the whole things of the "Chau Mien" (chau noddles) and prepared the salad. Tony has inspired the the spirit and value of the English Service and Fellowship of River of Life Christian Church through publications locally, natioally, and internationally.

Miss Vivian Chao joined Judy in preparing for the food of the Coffee/Tea Fellowship. She prepared the fruits and cakes.

Ms. Jenny Long served the food for English Service Fellowship on October 2006.

As a sincere believer of God, we found that we can even live as in the heaven in this World at the present. Whether people is living in the Heaven or in the Hell is up to his or her selection. With sincere love, you are likely to live in the Heaven. With cruel hate, you are likely live in the Hell. To fight and destroy each others for property and fame is where the place called Hell. To cooperate with each others to promote our quality of life will be the place where we people may make it as a Heaven.*10

Therfore, the Heaven is where the place full of love while the Hell is where the place full of hate. It is all depending on your heart to see whether you are in the Heaven or in the Hell. By using this standard, you may measure the quality or depth of yours in the Heaven or your in the Hell.

Accordng to the oriental (not Asian) ways of life, people would suspect the one who always find out and praise the good characters and accomplishment of others. In the many thousand years of the past, it was one of the factor that hurt the encouragement for innovation and science development for the Asian people and countries.

After a full applause by the audience at his speech, a professor automatically spoke his mind: "The people who enthusiastically give a hand to others, will certainly one day get a lot of more applauses!"

Everytime when he was encouraged and praised by an individual, Dr. Tony Lei used to remind: "The one who knows how to praise other people, is the one herself or himself having certainly lots of more goodness which are worth for us to praise for!" *11

"As you walk into the church, you might have noticed that we value the time of worship. What is worship? According to the scriptures, it means to come before God's throne. First, you must surrender yourself before the Lord, lay down your burdens and the things that you love to boast about, and solely look at the Lord. Next, you must open your heart before the Lord and allow the Holy Spirit to work in you. Let Him soften your heart, heal your soul and speak to you. Sometimes, you might have some sensation in your body such as heat or electricity flowing through you. Do not be afraid because it means He is with you. These are the manifestation of God's presence," pointed out Rev. Tong Liu, Senior Pastor of River of Life Christian Church, Santa Clara, California.*12

"The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control."

To a friend's house the road is never long. Let's share together with some of the golden words about firendship from the Bible:

U. S. Senator-elect John Ensign's great-grandfather first came to Nevada almost a hundred years ago as a miner and labored in its towns. This respectable man worked hard to provide for his family and taught his children the value of hard work, integrity, and independence. "The significance of life is to inspire and educate the continuous lives of the universe," said Dr. Tony Lei, President of Washington Business and Technology Institute (WBTI). People came to America to seek the American dream. Even though not all of them can realize their American dream, eventually they could teach and help their children accomplish their contributions to our country.*14

As a born-again Christian, people have been inspired by his sincererity, humbleness, and credibility much more than just his wealthy and handsome appearance now. On October 15, John attended the worship service of the Liberty Baptist Church. He offered a short speech of testifmony. He said that he was very frustrated with his first taste of political failure, when he lost by a mere 428 votes to U. S. Senator Harry Reid. However, he believes God and has surrendered his fate to God. John's faith in God helped him to overcome his frustration and disappointment and enabled him to continue to strive to succeed. The Bible says "...though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that your faith - of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire - may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed (1 Peter 1:6-7)". If a window was closed, God might re-open the window or even open a different door for those who are eager to utilize his or her knowledge and expertise to serve. As all Christians acknowledge - with God, anything is possible.

For many years, we taught people successfully to make money through the modern knowledge of organization and management in business. For the years to go, we will continue to encourage our friends to love the God, and to love our people, professionalism, community, and country.*15

"Incentives (of love) brings us with encouragement. Encouragement brings us with good work performance. In the 5:19 on Ecclesiastes of the Bible, it stated that 'When God gives any man (or woman) wealth and possessions, and enable him (or her) to enjoy them, to accept his (or her) lot and be happy in his (or her) work---this is a gift of God,'" said Dr. Tony Lei, President of Washington Business and Technology Institute.*16

In this 21st Century new era and society, we need economic growth and personal prosperity, but we need also to establish and promote creativity, fairness and justice, serve and love, educational knowledge, and spirit engineering. We wish that a pure fountain may prosper and enrich our splendid and silver country through: the power of public service that based on knowledge is the power of rightousness; the advancement of technology, entreprenueship, and innovation; and the spirit that knowledge calls, ultimately, for a life of service.*17

We believe the spiritual significance of "To serve and to give heartily". The English Service of River of Life Christian Church is blessing!*18

Jesus said, "Everyone who bears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock." --- Matthew 7:24-25 of the "Bible"

San Jose Chinese Choir held a concert successfully

San Jose Chinese Choir (SJCC) held a concert successfully at the Le Petit Trianon Theatre in San Jose, California on September 23, 2006.

San Jose Chinese Choir "was founded in 1981 by parents and friends of the San Jose Chinese School. In addition to enjoying choral music and friendship, we also encourage and help young musicians. Besides giving concerts regularly in the Bay area, we also performed in the Hawaiian Island, Los Angeles and Vancouver." *1

The performance was featured by chorus, female chorus, mixed chorus, solo & duet, male chorus, and dance.

Its Conductor was: Mr. Timothy Ding, 指揮: 丁國勛 先生.
Its Pianist was: Ms. Jenny Lin, 伴奏: 林雋姃 女士.

Its MC Jeff Liu had a sense of humor.

She is the Director of Star Valley Children's Choir, the president and artistic director of Harmonic Chorus," continued the Brochure.

The Dancer Wei Wei Wu, born in Qing, China. A graduate from medicalschool, working in biotech company, has been dancing since 8 years old. She learned both western ballet and Chinese folk dances and performed in China and United States. Recently she performed belly dance in Bay Area, appeared at World Journal News New Year's Eve Party, danced for Donhua Association, Shanghai Chinese American Association and Taiwan Army Officer Association, etc.*3

The Percussionist David Song is about eighteen years old. He just graduated from Los Gatos High School. He will be attending California Polytechnic State University. He will pursue a degree in Electrical Engineering and Music.

Ms. Lillian Tsai (雷榕生) is a member and the Coordinator in General of San Jose Chinese Choir. She is in charge of their dresses, multimedia, and public relations. She was an Alto in the Concert which was held by SJCC on September 23, 2006.

The concert was applauded by a great deal of attendants enthusiastically.

How to acquire knowledge?

The desire to persuit knowledge is for everybody. A wise man is always open to and looks for new ideas. One of the most precious human resource is the desire to improve. People can learn much by doing.

It's our pleasure to post a short story and quotation from "Speaker's Source Book" by Glenn Van Ekeren. *2

A young, devoted follower of Socrates pleaded with him to share the secret of acquired knowledge. Socrates willingly consented and led the young man to a river. "This is how," Socrates stated as he pushed the young man into the river, and then jumping in himself, he held the young man's head underwater. The young man struggled frantically to free himself, but Socrates held him tight and kept his head submerged.
Finally, after the young man scratched, clawed, and fought with every ounce of his being, he was able to break loose and emerge from the water. Socrates then asked him, "When you thought you were drowning, what one thing did you want most of all?"
Still grasping for breath, the young man exclaimed, "I wanted air!" Socrates smiled and then wisely commented, "When you want knowledge as much as you wanted air, then you will get it!" *3

Usually, change and growth will come at the time when we take a conscious step forward out of the anxiety and into activity. We are not a being to stand still. We are a being in the process of becoming. The more we enable us to become, the more we fulfill our true missions.

Under the spiritual leadership of them, WBTI has a bright endeavor for its proclamation and creed on the belief that the encouragement and promotion of academic research, community service, and humane spirit will bring our effort for a peaceful and prosperous community," said Christine Hu, Esq. at the time when she was informed of her appointment as an Assistant Fellow of the Public Administration Institution (PAI) by WBTI on December 16, 2003.*3

People are interested in having a little more understanding about the successful story of U. S. Senator John Ensign after they read the above expression by Christine. It is our pleasure to offer our viewers more about it by reprinting the following two articles:

John Ensign honored as Vice Chairman of the Advisory Board of WBTI

North Las Vegas Justice Court Judge-elect Natalie Tyrell once wrote a letter of appreciation to Dr. Tony Lei from her Office, "....I want to share with you my favorite quote. It is by the great Winston Churchill. It exemplifies the driving force by which I start out each day. He said, 'We all make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.' ...." By the act of love itself, we are enriched. Love in action is service above self. We encourage people to make service a part of our characters and experience the abundant reward that comes from serving others.

U. S. Senator-elect John Ensign's great-grandfather first came to Nevada almost a hundred years ago as a miner and labored in its towns. This respectable man worked hard to provide for his family and taught his children the value of hard work, integrity, and independence. "The significance of life is to inspire and educate the continuous lives of the universe," said Dr. Tony Lei, President of Washington Business and Technology Institute (WBTI). People came to America to seek the American dream. Even though not all of them can realize their American dream, eventually they could teach and help their children accomplish their contributions to our country.

As a born-again Christian, people have been inspired by his sincererity, humbleness, and credibility much more than just his wealthy and handsome appearance now. On October 15, John attended the worship service of the Liberty Baptist Church. He offered a short speech of testifmony. He said that he was very frustrated with his first taste of political failure, when he lost by a mere 428 votes to U. S. Senator Harry Reid. However, he believes God and has surrendered his fate to God. John's faith in God helped him to overcome his frustration and disappointment and enabled him to continue to strive to succeed. The Bible says "...though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that your faith - of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire - may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed (1 Peter 1:6-7)". If a window was closed, God might re-open the window or even open a different door for those who are eager to utilize his or her knowledge and expertise to serve. As all Christians acknowledge - with God, anything is possible.

People believed with John that he said, "I have the passion for the fight and the unshakable belief that together we can build a better Nevada." In the Pastor Teis' meeting Office, John agreed with Dr. Tony Lei, also a born-again Chrisitan, that WBTI would honor him as Advisor and Vice Chairman of its Advisory Board. In the first paragraph of this column on September 15, it is stated that on September 7, U. S. Senate Candidate John Ensign wrote: "Please accept my best wishes as you come together in celebration of the Thai Performaning Arts, Appreciation Day 2000. The importance of sharing culture through art and festivities that bring people together serves to enhance all of us more by enriching our lives with the diversity of people and their customs. I especially would like to extend my appreciation to Dr. Tony T. Lei for his commitment and enthusiastic support of the Thai Performing Arts." John received Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree form the Colorado State University in 1985. He accepted Dr. Tony Lei's invitation as a Guest Speaker to talk about protecting Social Security and Medicare for our Nevadan seniors at a Forum held by Seniors United. He believes that America must honor its words to seniors. His scholastic and gentle appearance has won a lot of applause and respect.

In community service, Dr. Tony Lei's hero is the great servant who has given all for the betterment of others' lives. Let our candles fuel a fire that will fan out an ever-lasting circles. With these circles together we can close our eyes and envision a community that is safe, peaceful, and healthy. The Bible teaches: "...let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth (1 John 3:18)." District (Family) Court Judge-elect Cheryl Moss wrote Dr. Tony Lei, "I am delighted and honored to be appointed as an Associate Fellow of the Public Administration Institution of Washington Business and Technology Institute. Thank you for this opportunity to serve, and I hope to gain more knowledge, insight and awareness about public service and community issues through your prestigious institution. I remain dedicated to helping the community, and I am inspired by your leadership, wisdom and guidance. I am also fortunate to have met you and your wife, Judy, because you are both active and dynamic individuals in the community. Your accomplishments and achievements have demonstrated that taking part in the community does make a difference. Best wishes and thank you again for your unselfish kindness, support and encouragement." Power in politics should have a direction that the power based on knowledge is the power of righteousness. We wish that a pure fountain may prosper and enrich our spendid and golden country through the spirit that knowledge calls, ultimately, for a life of service. "In God we trust. Life is for the purpose to serve our lovely society," Dr. Tony Lei stated.

John Ensign: a born-again Christian

It is not very possible for anybody all the way with good luck from the beginning to the end of his or her whole life. One will enevitably face somekind of frustration. The attitude that one holds in facing one's frustration will, nevertheless, decide what would be his or her fate to be followed. If anybody gives up soon after he or she gets a frusration or difficulty, then the following days for his or her life will most probably be in dead end.

John Ensign has been impressived as a handsome, strong, and rich man. He has been long time identified as son of big casino leading figure of Mandalay Bay. John believes the struglling effort to success. He used to remind us of his humble beginnings. His mother was a change girl in Reno. Supporting three children with no help from her ex-husband when she met and married Mike Ensign. She went on to become a person and now she is the wife of famous Chairman of Mandalay Bay Group. John's great-grandfather first came to Nevada almost a hundred years ago as a miner and labored in its towns. This respectable man worked hard to provide for his family and teach his children the value of hard work, integrity, and independence. "The significance of life is to build and educate the continuous lives of the universe," said Dr. Tony Lei, President of Washington Business and Technology Institute (WBTI). People came to here even not being able for all of them to realize their American dream but eventurely they could teach and help their children accomplish their contributions for our country.

John's wife, Darlene, encouraged him into his first political race for Congress. Earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Colorado State University in 1995, his scholarstic and gentle appearance has won lots of applause and respect from knowledgeable ladies in social activities. It was when he was attending veterinarian school that John became a born-again Christian. He was urging by Darlene to become involved in a men's Christian group.

In 1931, historian and Pulitzer prize winner James Truslow Adams coined the phrase "The American Dream" in a treatise called The Epic of America. Adams described the dream this way: "It is not a dream of moter cars and high wages merely, but a dream of social order in which each man and each woman shall be able to attain the fullest stature of which they are innately capable, and be recognized by others for what they are, regardless of the fortuitous circumstances of birth or position." *6
This familiar phrase has often been invoked by writers, philosophers, and politicians to explain their own convictions. It has become a prevailing justification for individual dreams and pursuits. "There are those who will reply that freedom of man and mind is nothing but a dream," said Archibald MacLeish. "They are right. It is. It is the American Dream."
Ray Kroc believed in the American Dream. While selling paper cupsto restaurants in 1920s, he worked his way up to becoming one of the company's top salespeople. ....The "freedom of man and mind" is not a dream. It produce dreams. ......

David McClelland, the Harvard psychologist, has extensively studied high achievers. He has concluded that successful people possess one common characteristic: they fantasize and dream incessantly about how to achieve their goals. Taking that one step further, James Allen says, "Dreams are the seedlings of reality."
The American Dream is a seedling of reality waiting to be nurtured, fertilized, and harvested by those with the courage to pursue it.*7

"Nothing much happens without a dream. For something really great to happen, it takes a really great dream," said Robert Greenleaf.

September 22, 2006 is very important. It is important because Mrs. Belinda M. Liu delivered an important and significant speech to the Women Conference. It will be held in Septmber 21-23, 2006 at River of Life Christian Church in Santa Clara, California. Mrs. Belinda M. Liu is one of the most important three Speakers.

In her speech to the Women Conference in the morning on September 22, 2006, Mrs. Belinda M. Liu dilivered an amazing testimony. "Two weeks ago in my Sunday School, I met with an elder and wise man (Dr. Tony Lei). He told me that WBTI (Washington Business and Technology Institute) was interested in opening a special section for me which would emphasize the educational and spiritual value. As I read his business card, praise Lord! he's the President. I was quite excited and scared. I was worried about how to answer him appoximately. I told him that I had no formal education from a bible college. As you know I've been eager to enhance my teaching in Bible with a special website for many years. Now, an angel has been sent from God for me. Just this Monday (9/18/06), I clicked on the Section ("Belinda Liu's Spiritual World" at

In meeting with the large and growing population of public employees in the states of Asia and Nevada, Washington Business and Technology Institute (WBTI) will open its training programs for the increasing graduate study and research needs of professional public administrators. To emphasize the balance of the practicality and theoraticality of the programs, the Graduate School of Business and Public Administration (GSBPA) of WBTI has supported by many high-ranking officials of Nevada in offering their times, experiences, and knowledge to teach at an honorary or adjunct capacity.*3

"Through the recommendations by our several faculty members including District Judge Valorie Vega and Southern Nevada Sheriff Bill Young, Ms. Jackie Glass has been appointed Adjunct Associate Professor of the Graduate School of Business and Public Administration (GSBPA) of Washington Business and Technology Institute (WBTI) on March 9, 2004," announced Dr. John Wang, Spokesman of WBTI, on March 10, 2004 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Following the spirit of entrepreneurship, Jackie Glass has always been willing to take a challenge head on. Now she is on her challenge!

While still in high school, Jackie worked as a waitress to help buy her school supplies and school clothes. When she decided to attend the University of Georgia, she continued as a waitress and worked her way through college. She took on extracurricular assignments, and earned a degree in journalism.

Her journalism career brought Jackie to Las Vegas in 1978 where she began as a radio news reporter. She moved quickly to television and served as both a morning anchor and crime beat reporter. As she followed the course of the trials she covered, she watched attorneys in action, and knew she could do as well. A new challenge lay before her.

Once again, she worked her way through college, graduating from the University of San Diego School of Law. In 1984, Jackie passed the Nevada Bar exam before graduation, received her Juris Doctor Degree,*4 was admitted to the Nevada Bar, and married her husband, Steve Wolfson.

With her husband, Jackie worked to build their successful law practice while helping at her daughters' school, chaperoning field trips to Washington, DC, supporting the Girl Scouts and projects such as Nevada Reading Week.

On the professional side, Jackie has lectured at the UNLV Boyd School of Law, spoke on law topics at local high schools, and appeared on the KLVX show, "Law for the Layman". She has devoted years as a hearing master to juvenile, domestic and paternity issues as well as criminal law.

She credits her seventeen years of legal experience and her work as a journalist on the crime beat for giving her an insight for the law, the role of the judiciary, the needs of victims, and for ways to make our system work better.

She served as a member of the Las Vegas Housing Authority Board and spent six years as a Board Member of the Senior Citizens Law Project.

As a District Court Judge of Department 5, Nevada, Jackie Glass is part of a new generation involved with her family, her profession and her community to make a difference for all of us here in our Silver State.

People with integrity live with clear consciences. "To do what is right and just is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice," stated in the Proverbs 21:3 of Bible.*5

【本報記者陳盈霖聖蓋博市報導】「後母」、「繼母」再也不是一如童話「白雪公主」內,想要用毒蘋果毒死白雪公主的壞皇后,在前聖瑪利諾教委、EQ專家吳雷洛美新書「阿姨媽媽」中,後母可以是無所不談的好朋友,也可以是分享心事的阿姨與媽媽。

這本描寫吳雷洛美長達17年重組家庭的故事、及好友們經驗寫成的「阿姨媽媽」,其書名是由吳雷洛美在台灣聖心女中好朋友、知名導演張艾嘉命名。同樣歷經重組家庭的她,23日特別出席吳雷洛美新書發表會,分享自己經驗。

吳雷洛美表示,美國離婚率已超過五成,再婚的離婚率更高達75%,華人社會也有急起直追的趨勢。她認為,第二次婚姻的離婚原因,大多是後父後母對子女教育方式出現意見有關。

吳雷洛美說,事實上,重組家庭與一般家庭的父母子女溝通原則相同,只是重組家庭成員比較複雜與脆弱,需更多智慧與技巧。

同樣經歷重組家庭的張艾嘉,結婚時除丈夫外,還有丈夫與前妻生的兩個兒子。

張艾嘉說,每個重組?彝龋崮敢蚝⒆觽?性、先生個性不同,走過的過程也有不同,所幸她這一路走來並沒太大風浪。

張艾嘉認為,自己不能控制別人,只能控制自己,但她一直堅持「孩子是無辜」的,也不會對孩子期望太高,只是用耐心不斷與孩子相處,站在孩子立場替他們想,慢慢獲得他們信任。現在,一家人都十分親密。

"I would like to inform you that JASN will have a booth at the Chinese Moon Festival which will be on Saturday, September 30, 2006 from 10:00 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Pacific Asia Plaza parking lot (in front of the grocery store. / 5115 Spring Mtn. Rd., Las Vegas, NV 89146)

This is the new part of Chinatown, just up Spring Mountain at Decatur. This shopping center is 2 story, with a parking garage. It's small, but more convenient than the main area of Chinatown, since it has a parking garage. The Festival was held last year and had about 200 or 300 in attendance. They hope to have 500 attendance this year.

This Sunday September 24, 2006, the Sermon was delivered by Rev. Tong Liu, Senior Pastor of River of Life Christian Church. The subject was "The calling of God to Life". As the river that flows from the Holy Place, and the beauty of holiness brings worship anew. He mentioned that, "We've four types of 'Calling'." They are: (1) The calling to a Kingdom. (2) The calling to a Dedicated Life. (3) The calling to a Ministry. (4)The calling to You. He talked about the rising up of women in the Bible history. "At the age of 50, Pastor Kim, Founder of the largest church in Korea, came to U. S. to study English. (We do have Korean-Chinese translator for her in the Women Conference on September 21-23, 2006.) She preferred to use English, because she thought there would be more people to understand," said Pastor Liu. The 2006 theme is "Arise & Shine - Prepare the Way of the Lord." The Worship was directed by Henry Hu.

In her speeh to the Women Conference in the morning on September 22, 2006, Mrs. Belinda M. Liu dilivered an amazing testimony. "Two weeks ago in my Sunday School, I met with an elder and wise man (Dr. Tony Lei). He told me that WBTI (Washington Business and Technology Institute) was interested in opening a special section for me which would emphasize the educational and spiritual value. As I read his business card, praise Lord! he's the President. I was quite excited and scared. I was worry not being able to answer him appoximately. I told him that I had no formal education from a bible college. As you know I've been eager to enhance my teaching in Bible with a special website for many years. Now, an angel has been sent from God for me. Just this Monday (9/18/06), I clicked on the Section ("Belinda Liu's Spiritual World" at
http://communitylink.reviewjournal.com/lvrj/wbti) and I found a wonderful performance of my many years accomplishments with nice pictures has been implemented. Hallelujah! (The daily website is established and supported by the largest English newspaper in Nevada, Las Vegas Review-Journal). Through the publication of searching leaders each every seven days, the potential visitors from Internet are more than a million." *1

Last Sunday, Mr. David Whitney prayed, announced news, and introduced Mr. John Lei to present the Togo Mission through video. John spoke that, "Enthusiastic responses were shown by the people of the several villages that we visited. In one of them, we had more than thirty of them baptized. During the trip, we hsd more than 40 of them surrendered to believe God. The whole mission was very blessed. They were so joyful. Praise God! God worked with us during the mission through our glorification in His name." The video and presentation were very nice.

"We need and thank sincerely your presence and effort to join River of Life Christian Church's world missions in order to glorify our God," pointed out John.

The 2006 9/10-11/12 Sunday School was held by Mrs. Belinda M. Liu the third week on September 24, 2006. The subject is on the advanced part in the chapter of "Numbers" of the Bible. Her sincerity is calling us for prayers to Israel and Jews. She explained also the story and significance of Passover. Many enthusiatic individuals attended the Class.*2

The Women Conference was held in Septmber 21-23, 2006 at River of Life Christian Church in Santa Clara, California. Mrs. Belinda M. Liu was one of the most important three Speakers. Thank you for your prayers for the Women Confernce starting the way that Spirit God would move in meetings and would use every speaker to release His messages to transform the lives of those who come.

All these advancement in science and technology, should be used to inspire the promotion of the quality of our daily life. Asking about how to open the file sent us by Pastor Hing-Chai Cheng, Ms. Jenny Long (Ms. Tao Long) wrote on August 23, 2006 that, "I can read all the articles and messages on your website. Maybe you will show me the file when we meet at the church." "I did click through the links on the site that you sent to me. I can open and read all the files there," wrote Jenny on August 22, 2006. In Proverbs 15 : 23 of the Bible, it stated that, "A man finds joy in giving an apt reply --- and how good is a timely word!" Jenny's enthusiastic concern and effort to WBTI have been highly appreciated.

The Coffee/Tea Fellowship of the four Sundays in August, 2006 were highlightened by the "to serve and to give heartily" of Lei's family: John helped promote the Sevice and Fellowship. Judy coocked the whole things of the "Chau Mien" (chau noddles) and prepared the salad. Tony has inspired the the spirit and value of the English Service and Fellowship of River of Life Christian Church through publications locally, natioally, and internationally.

Miss Vivian Chao joined Judy in preparing for the food of the Coffee/Tea Fellowship. She prepared the fruits and cakes.

Ms. Elaine Tran served the food for English Service Fellowship on September 2006.

As a sincere believer of God, we found that we can even live as in the heaven in this World at the present. Whether people is living in the Heaven or in the Hell is up to his or her selection. With sincere love, you are likely to live in the Heaven. With cruel hate, you are likely live in the Hell. To fight and destroy each others for property and fame is where the place called Hell. To cooperate with each others to promote our quality of life will be the place where we people may make it as a Heaven.*10

Therfore, the Heaven is where the place full of love while the Hell is where the place full of hate. It is all depending on your heart to see whether you are in the Heaven or in the Hell. By using this standard, you may measure the quality or depth of yours in the Heaven or your in the Hell.

Accordng to the oriental (not Asian) ways of life, people would suspect the one who always find out and praise the good characters and accomplishment of others. In the many thousand years of the past, it was one of the factor that hurt the encouragement for innovation and science development for the Asian people and countries.

After a full applause by the audience at his speech, a professor automatically spoke his mind: "The people who enthusiastically give a hand to others, will certainly one day get a lot of more applauses!"

Everytime when he was encouraged and praised by an individual, Dr. Tony Lei used to remind: "The one who knows how to praise other people, is the one herself or himself having certainly lots of more goodness which are worth for us to praise for!" *11

"Promise God! The women conference in the past two days full of God's grace and the Spirit of God was among us. Recently, I sense God's breakthrough anoinling in our church. I feel God is leading the church entering a new realm and has opened many doors for the church. This anoinling is not only falling on the church ministry but also on every member. If you can lift up your head to set your eyes on Him, the grace of God will be poured unto you. I want to thank everyone who served in this conference especially the brothers. Because of your service, the sisters were able to concentrate on the meetings. May God reward you abundanly," pointed out Rev. U. S. Senator-elect John Ensign's great-grandfather first came to Nevada almost a hundred years ago as a miner and labored in its towns. This respectable man worked hard to provide for his family and taught his children the value of hard work, integrity, and independence. "The significance of life is to inspire and educate the continuous lives of the universe," said Dr. Tony Lei, President of Washington Business and Technology Institute (WBTI). People came to America to seek the American dream. Even though not all of them can realize their American dream, eventually they could teach and help their children accomplish their contributions to our country.*14

As a born-again Christian, people have been inspired by his sincererity, humbleness, and credibility much more than just his wealthy and handsome appearance now. On October 15, John attended the worship service of the Liberty Baptist Church. He offered a short speech of testifmony. He said that he was very frustrated with his first taste of political failure, when he lost by a mere 428 votes to U. S. Senator Harry Reid. However, he believes God and has surrendered his fate to God. John's faith in God helped him to overcome his frustration and disappointment and enabled him to continue to strive to succeed. The Bible says "...though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that your faith - of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire - may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed (1 Peter 1:6-7)". If a window was closed, God might re-open the window or even open a different door for those who are eager to utilize his or her knowledge and expertise to serve. As all Christians acknowledge - with God, anything is possible.

For many years, we taught people successfully to make money through the modern knowledge of organization and management in business. For the years to go, we will continue to encourage our friends to love the God, and to love our people, professionalism, community, and country.*15

"Incentives (of love) brings us with encouragement. Encouragement brings us with good work performance. In the 5:19 on Ecclesiastes of the Bible, it stated that 'When God gives any man (or woman) wealth and possessions, and enable him (or her) to enjoy them, to accept his (or her) lot and be happy in his (or her) work---this is a gift of God,'" said Dr. Tony Lei, President of Washington Business and Technology Institute.*16

In this 21st Century new era and society, we need economic growth and personal prosperity, but we need also to establish and promote creativity, fairness and justice, serve and love, educational knowledge, and spirit engineering. We wish that a pure fountain may prosper and enrich our splendid and silver country through: the power of public service that based on knowledge is the power of rightousness; the advancement of technology, entreprenueship, and innovation; and the spirit that knowledge calls, ultimately, for a life of service.*17

We believe the spiritual significance of "To serve and to give heartily". The English Service of River of Life Christian Church is blessing!*18

WASHINGTON -- Harry Reid of Nevada was elected Senate Democratic leader on Tuesday, achieving a new level of power he said he will use to cooperate with President Bush or fight him if necessary.

Reid, who had been the party's second-in-command in the Senate, was promoted by a unanimous vote of the Democratic caucus to head a new leadership team in the congressional term that begins in January.

With his election, Reid solidified his standing as the most influential Nevadan ever to serve in Congress, said Guy Rocha, Nevada state archivist.

"It's a slam dunk now," Rocha said. "Before, people may have argued for Patrick McCarran, but here all debate ends."

McCarran, a Democrat for whom the Las Vegas airport is named, served as senator from 1933 to 1954, wrote a series of significant bills and was regarded as one of the major anti-communist crusaders of the era.

In an interview, the 64-year-old Reid said Nevadans should see little difference in how he represents them as the top Democrat in the Senate.

"I have different responsibilities than I had a couple hours ago, but I still look to Nevada as my first line of responsibility," he said. "I have ongoing projects I am going to work on. I think people in Nevada will recognize I have ability to help more than I have in the past."

Reid inherits leadership of a Senate caucus that contains 44 Democrats, the fewest since 1931. Democrats' influence is boosted somewhat by Sen. Jim Jeffords, an independent from Vermont who usually votes with them.

Reid signalled a willingness to work with Bush, but said Democrats will not be pushed around by Republicans who may interpret Bush's re-election and GOP gains in Congress as a broad endorsement of their policies.

`He said four years ago he wanted to be a uniter," Reid said of Bush. "It didn't work well the first four years. We hope it works the second four years."

"I would rather dance than fight," the former boxer told reporters. "But I can fight."

While they lost 19 of 34 Senate elections on Nov. 2, Democratic Senate candidates won 3.5 million more votes than Republicans nationwide, Reid said. The party also made pick ups among state legislatures, he said.

"I think the majority should be careful about throwing words around like `mandate,' " Reid said. "President Bush won the election but it was certainly no mandate. If one state had turned around, Kerry would be president."

Reid had been a constant on the Senate floor for six years, managing legislation and floor proceedings as Democratic whip. He told reporters he is not an "untested vessel."

After he was elected minority leader, he reintroduced himself at a news conference that dwarfed most of those he had sponsored in the past. He described his hardscrabble upbringing in tiny Searchlight, and opportunities he was given to achieve an education and a career as an attorney.

"The reason I am telling this is if I can make it in America, anyone can," he said. Democrats, he said, "want people to have the same opportunities that Harry Reid had."

Democrats chose new leaders in the historic Old Senate Chamber, where senators met from 1810 until 1859 and debated slavery, western expansion and other issues confronting the young nation.

Reid was nominated by a mentor, 46-year Senate veteran Robert Byrd of West Virginia. In a move symbolizing outreach to party conservatives and the rural Midwest, Reid also asked Sen. Ben Nelson of Nebraska to speak on his behalf.

Sen. Richard Durbin of Illinois was elected to Reid's old post of Democratic whip. Sen. Debbie Stabenow of Michigan was elected conference secretary, the No. 3 position. Both selections were unanimous.

While the Democrats met behind closed doors for two hours, voting was completed rather quickly. Senators said they spent the rest of the time discussing policy and the elections, with little handwringing over the party's net loss of four Senate seats following defeats in the South.

The Democrats' presidential nominee, Sen. John Kerry of Massachusetts, was there and was given several standing ovations, Reid said. The elections were attended by senators of the incoming Congress, so Tom Daschle of South Dakota, the outgoing leader who was defeated, was not present.

While Reid will not take over officially until January, he is playing a major role in managing the lame duck session that convened on Tuesday, while planning his transition.

Reid will move his leadership staff into Daschle's suite on the second floor of the Capitol, steps from the Senate floor. The new offices are about a dozen rooms larger than Reid's current digs on the third floor of the Capitol. Reid will continue to maintain a separate office for Nevada aides.

As leader, Reid will control an $8 million budget that funds the Democratic apparatus, including experts who advise senators on legislation, policy and floor procedure, communications aides and certain officers who report to the Senate sergeant-at-arms.

As one of the few Democrats in Washington who is hiring, Reid has received dozens of resumes from staff members for departing senators, plus aides who worked on Kerry's campaign.

A Reid staff of roughly 50 people will expand, but aides said it was not yet known how many more will be hired to support his leadership duties.

Reid said he has hired two Daschle advisers, policy aide Randy DeValk and Nancy Erickson, who was the South Dakotan's deputy chief of staff. He also has hired Kevin Kayes, formerly Commerce Committee staff director for retiring Sen. Ernest Hollings of South Carolina.

Reid plans to strengthen the Democrats' communications by establishing a "rapid response" team to promote the party message and respond to critics, according to chief of staff Susan McCue.

Reid also is expected to control a number of patronage jobs within the Senate bureaucracy that figure to be offered to supporters in the state.

"Come January you probably will see more Nevadans around here," an aide remarked.

Assistant Democratic Leader of the U. S. Senate and Senator Harry Reid has made a difference for Nevada. From humble beginnings in the tiny town of Searchlight, Nevada to the second highest ranking Democrat in the United States Senate, he has distinguished himself as a fighter for Nevadans and all American families in the corridors of power in Washington, D. C..

"Recognizing his trajectory in public service, the Las Vegas Sun said Reid 'has gone from underdog to Senate's top dog.' Parade Magazine, the nation's largest weekly identified Senator Reid as one of a handful of leaders in Washington who possess 'integrity and guts.'*3

"Since Nevadans elected him to the Senate in 1986, Harry Reid has developed a reputation as a consensus builder and an accomplished legislator. Even his Republican colleagues praise his reasoned, balanced approach. After Nevadans sent Harry Reid to the Senate for a third term in 1998, he was elected by his colleagues to serve as the Assistant Democratic Leader, also known as the Democratic 'Whip.' Reid provides valuable leadership to the U.S. Senate by guiding legislation through the Senate and securing the votes to pass key measures. The respected Washington publication National Journal observed that 'Senator Reid has quietly elevated a long dormant post.'

He has fought to bring much-needed funding for construction of schools and for hiring more qualified teachers in Nevada. In health care, Harry Reid has fought for the Patient's Bill of Rights as well as increased funding for cancer research, suicide prevention, and mental health initiatives. Harry has also fought for issues concerning senior citizens, including prescription drug coverage, long term care, and Social Security.

On October 22, 2000, U. S. Senator Harry Reid received the "Outstanding Democrat of the Decade" 1990's Award from the Paradise Democratic Club of Las Vegas (PDCLV) at the Skyview Room of the Bally's Casino and Hotel, Las Vegas. In the Program, the National Anthem was sung by Rose McKinny James. The Event was chaired by the President of PDCLV, John Ponticello. He introduced participants of all the elected officers, leaders of unions, persons campaigned for public service, among others. The Keynote Speaker was Senator Harry Reid. Special Speakers were U. S. Senator Richard Bryan, U. S. Congresswoman Shelley Berkley, and U. S. Senate Candidate Ed Bernstein. Comments were offered by Rory Reid, Nevada State Democratic Party Chairman, and Danny Thompson, Secretary/Treasurer of Nevada State AFL-CIO.

The heightlight of the Event and Party was the presentation of the Outstanding Democrat of the Decade Award to U.S. Senator Harry Reid by the President of Paradise Democratic Club of Las Vegas, John Ponticello. U. S. Senator Reid graduated from Utah State University in 1961. He received Juris Doctor degree from George Washington University. On April 10, 1998, he was honored as Advisor and Vice Chairman of the Advisory Board of Washington Business and Technology Institute.*6

Today is very important. It is important because Mrs. Belinda M. Liu delivered an important and significant speech to the Women Conference. It will be held in Septmber 21-23, 2006 at River of Life Christian Church in Santa Clara, California. Mrs. Belinda M. Liu is one of the most important three Speakers.

In her speech to the Women Conference in the morning on September 22, 2006, Mrs. Belinda M. Liu dilivered an amazing testimony. "Two weeks ago in my Sunday School, I met with an elder wise man (Dr. Tony Lei). He told me that WBTI (Washington Business and Technology Institute) was interested in opening a special section for me which would emphasize the educational and spiritual value. As I read his business card, praise Lord! he's the President. I was quite excited and scared. I was worry not being able to answer him appoximately. I told him that I had no formal education from a bible college. As you know I've been eager to enhance my teaching in Bible with a special website for many years. Now, an angel has been sent from God for me. Just this Monday (9/18/06), I clicked on the Section ("Belinda Liu's Spiritual World" at
http://communitylink.reviewjournal.com/lvrj/wbti) and I found a wonderful performance of my many years accomplishments with nice pictures has been implemented. Hallelujah! (The daily website is established and supported by the largest English newspaper in Nevada, Las Vegas Review-Journal). Ms. Becky Ung (吴雷洛美) is former President and Member of the School Board for Unified School District of San Morino, California. She is a Master Trainer of PESA (Parent Expectations Support Achievement) which is a program offered through Los Angeles County Office of Education. Becky is now the Chairperson of E. Q. Research Committee (EQRC) of Washington Business and Technology Institute (WBTI).*1

Becky is a motivational speaker, life coach, teacher and author. She is an EQ and parenting specialist as well as a business consultant.

Becky is a national and international famous Speaker in California, United States; Taipei, Taiwan; and Beijing, Shanghai, Amoy, China. She has published a numerious Vidio Tapes, feature articles, and books. Her famous book named "What you Wish is What you Get" was published by Songan Publishing Inc. in 2001 at Taipei, Taiwan. The next one of hers, "E. Q. Unlimited," was published by Franklin Publications at Taipei in the fall of 2002. She is an expert of E. Q. (Emotional Intelligence).*2

记:您曾经担任美国加州圣马力诺学区教育委员会主席,现作为美国华盛顿工商研究院助理教授、著名的激励演讲家,有着丰富的人生经历,能否为我们介绍一下您的工作、生活经历?
吴:人生总是有起起伏伏,我在生活中经历过很多。我和丈夫都有过一次婚姻,他有两个孩子,我有一个女儿,都是由我一手带大。在美国人的观念中,孩子放学回家,就要有父母其中的一位在陪他,他们在成长过程当中非常需要建立安全感、责任感、自信感。所以我首先做了一名全职妈妈。
后来,我想做些属于自己的事情,就利用业余时间去学校做义工,直到成为第一位家长会的华裔会长,我在这个过程当中积累了很多财富,比如领导能力、组织协调能力;交到很多朋友。之后我从学区教委做到学区主席,参加很多的讲学和研讨会,在工作生活中不断积累。一直发展得很好。
我觉得,看一个人成功与否,不要只看他现在有多大的成就,而要看他如何达到今天的地位。对于那些克服很多困难,历经很多挫折,从艰难的逆境中走出来达到成功的人,我们才会特别的佩服。
记:在沙龙的听众中,有很多人力资源领域的从业者,您能否介绍一下,在企业中,应该怎样在选择员工的时候更好的判断他的EQ能力?
吴:我认为,在面试的时候,要注意询问他对于人生一些问题的看法,比如遇到过最困难的事情,然后在他讲述的过程当中留意他是积极乐观的,还是消极沮丧的。以此来预测他在工作当中可能会有的行为和态度。当然这样的测验结果只是相对的,在正式雇佣这名员工之后,要定期进行反馈。
记:对于企业现有的专业能力很强,但沟通能力很差的员工,应该如何提高、改进他们的EQ能力?
吴:主要通过潜能发挥等一些培训课程来解决。首先要委婉的告诉员工存在沟通方面的问题,比如:你的做事能力很好,公司很幸运有你这样的员工,但是你有没有觉得……;或者,你有没有觉得跟别人的沟通有一点欠缺的地方……不要伤害到员工的自尊,他才会比较容易接受建议。然后,要让员工回想,上一次如何与别人沟通,结果是什么,如果结果很差,作为上司,要鼓励他,告诉他下次遇到类似情况应该怎样做,以便让他在事前有万全的准备,这样才能不断的改进。
记:在您的生活当中,每次遇到困难的时候都是用什么方法来激励自己的呢?
吴:我也曾教授潜能发挥这门课程,所以我非常注重活泼乐观的自我谈话。因为每天会有十万个念头经过我们的脑海,我们每天都在和自己对话。所以遇到困难时,我会认为危机即是转机,困难代表着新的机会,解决问题就能获得新的能力,这样想,我就能积极乐观的看待事情,最大限度的发挥自己的潜能。
记:您觉得,潜能发挥课程对于职场人士来说,能够带给他一些什么呢?
吴:通常来讲,人的潜能只发挥到3—7%,我们真的有太多的潜能没有发挥出来。通过潜能发挥课程,就可以明白是什么因素在妨碍人潜能的发挥。
不良的习惯、负面的态度、过低的、错误的信念、过低的期望值都会影响人潜能的发挥。而潜能发挥课程正是针对这几点,帮助职场人士养成良好的习惯,找到真正的自己,在职场竞争中有充分的信心,从而最大限度发挥自己的潜能,达到事业发展的新高度。*3

"屬神的女人, 興起發光"

這是一個婦女興起的時代,過去十多年來,看見社會上越來越多的女性站在領導的層面,許多大公司重用女性,如HP、eBay等公司女總裁。此外,神更是在各處大大興起五重職事的女使徒、女先知、女教師、女牧師及傳好信息的婦女。

在這末後的日子,神應許祂的靈要澆灌屬祂的使女們;神正以前所未有的方式呼召屬神的女人,從各國各民各族各家各行業及各樣攔阻中被釋放出來。每個女人都有神所賦予的獨特,如何全然發展妳的潛能,去履行神為妳生命所定的旨意,讓女人內裡生命所蘊藏的火花,召聚起來,成為興起發光的大群,在這末後的時代預備大豐收。

今年的特會神以厚恩待我們,請到了韓國純福音中央教會趙鏞基牧師的師母趙金聖惠牧師,這是全世最大的教會,也是最看重及重用婦女的教會。與趙師母一起配搭分享主題信息的Dr. Petrina 是馬來西亞最大教會的師母,另外尚有多位恩膏滿溢的講員帶領精彩專題講座。此次特會美國、中國、韓國、馬來西亞、加拿大能聯結一起,初嘗一點天上寶座前,各國各民的聚集敬拜,真是一大祝福!

一百年前美國阿蘇薩街的大復興時, 確認了聖靈對婦女的膏抹,如今已是第二個五十年(禧年),倍恩於九月份屆滿十四年了(第二個七年)。在此特別邀請?厑韰⒓印笇偕衽耍d起發光」的特會, 不要錯過這一個時機,與倍恩一起承受這禧年的加倍恩膏與祝福!

"I have to thank my parents for never giving up on me and for all the rentless prayers that they had prayed for me. I look back and realize that it's been almost 5 years that my mom has been interceding for me," wrote Miss Frances Liu, Berlinda's daughter.*5 It is quoted from one of the prefaces of the book "「為孩子的屬靈品格禱告」". The book was written by Mrs. Belinda M. Liu.

Believe in what you do

Sometimes we may find that the grass looks greener on the other side of the fence, it may be that they take better care of it there. People need to work. People will never know how long it takes you to do something, but they only know how well it is done. There are three things to make an individual happy in their work: They must be fit for it, they must be sometime praised, and they must have a sense of success in it. Jonn W. Gardner pointed out that, "The best-kept secret in America today is that people would rather work hard for something they believe in than enjoy a pampered idleness." God gives us the nuts, but he does not crack them. As we like our work, we do not feel that we are working during the long hours. It fascinates us, and we can sit and look at it for hours.

We are pleased to quote the following five short but meaningful ones:

It's our pleasure to post a short story and quotation from "Speaker's Source Book" by Glenn Van Ekeren:

A carpenter whose brother was a famous musician was visiting with the foreman of the construction company where he worked. "You must feel honored to have a brother who is known around the world for his musical abilities," the foreman commented. And then, failing to recgnize that he might have hurt his worker's feeling, he continued, "Of course, not everyone in the same family can enjoy an equal amount of talent." *2

"You're right," the carpenter replied. "My brother donsn't know the first thing about building a home. It's fortunate he can afford to hire others to build a house for him."

B. C. Forbes suggested that "whether we find pleasure in our work or whether we find it a bore depends entirely upon our mental attitude towards it, not upon the task itself."

The same can be said of finding importance in what we do. It all depends on how we choose to see it. Maybe that is why Booker T. Washington, in 'Up From Slavery', advised his readers that "there is as much dignity in tilling a field as in writing a poem." *3

The following report entitled "JUDGING THE JUDGES: Four judges top 90 percent retention ratings
---Bell, Earl, Herndon, Wall lead pack in biennial survey" was written by JOAN WHITELY. It was published by LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL on April 30, 2006:

"Overlooking the foyer of the new Regional Justice Center are District Court Judges Stewart Bell, from left, David Wall, Allan Earl and Douglas Herndon. Each earned retention ratings of 90 percent or better.

On a 2006 report card for judges in District Court's criminal and civil divisions, a quartet of judges emerged with top scores. Judges Stewart Bell, Allan Earl, Douglas Herndon and David Wall each earned retention ratings of 90 percent or better. ....." *1

On September 23, 2002, District Attorney Stewart Bell wrote President Dr. Tony Tung-tien Lei that "Dear Dr. Lei, I am honor and prviledged to accept your appointment as Honorary Chairman and Senior Advisor of the Clark County Distrct Attorney and Police Civil Commission (CCDAPCC) of the Washington Business and Technology Institute. I look forward to meeting on October 7th." *2 [The two original letters one for Honorary Chairman and the other for Senior Advisor that signed by Stewart from his Office were shown on the Section of "Photos & Pictures" at May 1, 2006.]

Judge Stewart Bell was elected to the Department 7 bench in November 2002 and was sworn in as a District Court Judge in January 2003. Prior to becoming a judge, he served as Clark County District Attorney from 1995 to 2002. As District Attorney, Judge Bell was responsible for managing a staff of nearly 700 people and supervised the prosecution of nearly 700,000 felonies, misdemeanors and juvenile matters. He also administered his own law firm in Las Vegas from 1973 to 1994, specializing in criminal, business and domestic law. From 1971 to 1972 he served as a Clark County Public Defender. He also served as a legal assistant to District Court Judge Howard W. Babcock from 1970 to 1971.*3

Judge Bell earned a bachelors of science degree in accounting and economics from University of Nevada Las Vegas in 1967. He earned his juris doctorate in 1970, graduating in the top 15 percent of his class, from the University of California Los Angeles Law School. Known for his acute analytical skills, Judge Bell was the Nevada State High School Mathematics Champion in 1963 and was named to the Phi Kappa Phi National Collegiate Academic Honor Society when he attended UNLV.

Judge Bell served as president of the Clark County Bar Association in 1980 and as president of the State Bar of Nevada from 1991 to 1992. He has been a member of the State Bar since 1971. He was named as an Outstanding Member of the Clark County Bar Association in 1993. Judge Bell has received the highest possible rating, "AV," by Martindale-Hubbell. His prior judicial experience includes serving as an Alternate Municipal Judge, a Coroner抯 Inquest Hearing Officer and as a Clark County Juvenile Court Referee.

A graduate of Leadership Las Vegas, Judge Bell has served as a volunteer and leader for many local charities and programs. He was named to Who抯 Who in America, Men of Achievement, in 1980. He is married to Jeanne D. Bell and the couple has four children, Linda, Kristin, Stephen and Greg, and one grandchild, Kyle. Judge Bell has served as a manager and coach for the Spring Valley Little League and in 1993 he managed the Little League Championship Team. He has been a resident of Nevada since 1954.*4

"Clark County District and Police Civil Commission (CCDAPCC) is the only one practical organization formed since the establishment of the Pan Pacific and Asian American Forum (PPAAF) in September 28, 2001 by Washington Business and Technology Institute (WBTI). The Executive Director of PPAAF Bud Cranor appointed Brian Sandoval Honorary Chairman, David Roger and Bill Young Chairmen of CCDAPCC on January 2, 2003," Dr. John Wang, Spokesman of WBTI, announced on January 3, 2003 in Las Vegas, Nevada.*5

It is a pleasure of Washington Business and Technology Institute (WBTI) to encourage and recognize those outstanding individuals, groups, or programs which enrich the lives of many in our community.*1

This Sunday September 17, 2006, the Sermon was delivered by Rev. Hing Chai Cheng, Pastor of River of Life Christian Church. The subject was "Right Priority Right Living". Right Priority leads to Right Living. Apart from God you can do nothing. The 2006 theme is "Arise & Shine - Prepare the Way of the Lord." The Worship was directed by Pastor Doris Lin.

Mr. David Whitney prayed, announced news, and introduced Mr. John Lei to present the Togo Mission through video. John spoke that, "Enthusiastic responses were shown by the people of the several villages that we visited. In one of them, we had more than thirty of them baptized. During the trip, we hsd more than 40 of them surrendered to believe God. The whole mission was very blessed. They were so joyful. Praise God! God worked with us during the mission through our glorification in His name." The video and presentation were very nice.

"We need and thank sincerely your presence and effort to join River of Life Christian Church's world missions in order to glorify our God," pointed out John.

The 2006 9/10-11/12 Sunday School was held by Mrs. Belinda M. Liu the second week on September 17, 2006. The subject is on the advanced part in the chapter of "Numbers" of the Bible. Many individuals attended the Class enthusiastically.*3

Belinda and his husband Rev. Tong Liu, Senior Pastor of River of Life Christian Church, had worked for this church for more than ten years. She is also the founder of "倍恩事奉中心":

Two books entitled 「女人的咒詛與祝福」and 「為孩子的屬靈品格禱告」, written by Mrs. Senior Pastor Belinda M. Liu, were signed with good wishes and given by her to Dr. and Mrs. Tony Lei. They are best sellers and famous. They will become one of the valuable collections of Washinton Business and Technology Institute (WBTI).

You are on Google! The searching leaders published our last Sunday's feature article. Just type your name (like "Miss Orchid Soh", "Mrs. Belinda M. Liu wbti", "Ms. Abby Komashko", "Miss Vivian Chao wbti", or "Miss Esther Huang wbti") to the searching box of Google.cn, Google.com, Aol.com, and among others, and you will find it starting from the first line of their first page. Hallelujah!

By the act of love itself, we are enriched. Love in action is service above self. Make service a part of our character and experience the abundant reward that comes from serving others. The Bible teaches: "... let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth ( 1 John 3:18)." District ( Family ) Court Judge Cheryl Moss wrote Dr. Tony Lei that, "I am delighted and honored to be appointed by you as an Associate Fellow of the Public Administration Institution of Washington Business and Technology Institute. Thank you for this opportunity for me to serve, and I hope to gain more knowledge, insight, and awareness about public service and community issues through your prestigious institution. I remain dedicated to helping the community, and I am inspired by your leadership, wisdom, and guaidance. I am also fortunate to have met you and your wife, Judy, because you are both active and dynamic individuals in the community. Your accomplishment and achievement have demonstrated that taking part in the community does make a difference. Best wishes and thank you again for your unselfish kindness, support, and encouragement." *8

The spirit of both the innovation and entreprenuership has also motivated United States to be a leading and prosperous country. With its high-speed capability, Fiber Optics can convey mass quantity of images and voice information. It is because that the broadband technology such as Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) has been more and more developed. Moreover, because of the popular building of radio communication networks, wireless techniques may access important information from the web and condense it to be appeared on the small web connecting machines such as a hand-held screen. The open free software LINUX operating system can even connect various stations very easilly. All these advancement in science and technology, should be used to inspire the promotion of the quality of our daily life. In this new era of information and web works, we should add humanity concern into our thinking structures. God created the world. Everything can be decided by Him. As the value of the fellowship of Public Administration Institution of WBTI growing, we the people with intelligence and knowledge in administration, technology, science should enjoy a valuable and joyful life to serve our community and society with our efforts and wisdom.*9

Asking about how to open the file sent us by Pastor Hing-Chai Cheng, Ms. Jenny Long (Ms. Tao Long) wrote on August 23, 2006 that, "I can read all the articles and messages on your website. Maybe you will show me the file when we meet at the church." "I did click through the links on the site that you sent to me. I can open and read all the files there," wrote Jenny on August 22, 2006. In Proverbs 15 : 23 of the Bible, it stated that, "A man finds joy in giving an apt reply --- and how good is a timely word!" Jenny's enthusiastic concern and effort to WBTI have been highly appreciated.

"How do I go about contributing to your website? Must I create a new user-ID & then sign in? Cheers," asked Miss Orchid Soh by e-mail. Orchid was thanked and answered by WBTI that some writing or pictures through the e-mail to us would be highly welcomed.

To serve our brothers and sisters with article writing, WBTI used to inform them the draft and asked them for modification or comment. After the draft of an article (on 8/24/06) was informed to John, he replied with an e-mail that, "This is wonderful! Now more people will be blessed. Thank you!"

It's our pleasure to post a short story from "Speaker's Source Book II" by Glenn Van Ekeren:

The word enthusiasm comes from the Greek roots en and theos and means "God within." It is a fire, a passion within. Real enthusiasm is not something you "put on" and "take off " to fit the occasion. It is a way of life.
Apparently Theodore Roosevelt possessed that kind of passionate lifestyle. In 1883, according to Bernard Levin, writing in Enthusiasms (Crown Publishers), Roosevelt went buffalo hunting in the Badlands of South Dakota with a single companion, Joe Ferris. They nearly died of thirst, and they slept on the ground, saddles their only pillows. One night wolves caused their horses to bolt, and it took some time for the fleeing beasts to be recaptured. The men went back to sleep; it began to rain heavily and they awoke, finding themselves lying in four inches of water. Shivering between sodden blankets, Ferris heard Teddy Roosevelt exclaim, "By Godfrey, but this is fun!"
Now that's enthusiasm!*10

"The Gospel of Jesus Christ; How to Become a Christian" and "How to Receive Jesus Christ as Your Savior and Thus Become a Christian" written by Kevin P. Gordon, Esq., were posted in this section on August 8-9, 2006. "I will leave for Togo, Africa tomorrow afternoon for a mission trip" written by John K. Lei and Jennifer Kung was also posted the next day.

Brothers and Sisters from the English Service responded with applauses:

"Dear Dr. and Mrs. Lei, Sorry for replying late. It was very nice meeting you on last Sunday afternoon at church. I appreciate your and John’s contributions to the Coffee/Tea Fellowship of English service. Thank you for your loving heart to each brother and sister. I will continue praying for John's mission trip at Togo. I'm sure the more he preaches the Gospel the more he will receive from God; with your support and love, this trip will be more meaningful and joyful to John," wrote Miss Merry Xiao on August 17, 2006. "Thank you for introducing me Kevin's articles. Actually I'm attending his Evangelism class on Sunday school. These articles are good notes for me . He is a great teacher for this class. His teachings are not only from the Bible and books but also from his experiences and testimonies in preaching the Gospel. I was impressed by his knowledge about the Bible and his passion on proclaiming the Gospel. May many people will be blessed by God through you. See you this Sunday."

"Dear Dr. Lei, It was very nice talking with you on Sunday at River of Life Christian Church. Thank you for your and your wife for providing food for the reception after the church service. I have attached the final versions of the two papers that I have written. They are both on the topic of how someone can receive Jesus Christ as their Savior and thus become a Christian. One is a two page version and one is a longer eight page version. Thank you for all of your help," wrote Kevin Gordon, Esq. After the articles were posted, he wrote again that "Thank you for posting my articles on the WBTI's website."

"Thanks. Here is the power point for last Sunday sermon. God bless you," wrote Pastor Hing-Chai Cheng.

"Thank you for passing this web. Yes, it is very nice to have you and auntie in this fellowship. And, your serving heart," wrote Miss Mariany Lee.

"Thank you for the information that you sent to me. I would like to write something to supporting our brothers and sister in the media, but my english writing is very bad. So let me learn more first than I would write in the media. Thanks God that you and Mrs. Lei joining our church and have participation in the serving God. May God bless all your family," wrote Miss Tine Lo.

"Thanks a lot for your message. The WBTI website is very nice. It contains a huge amount of information. Great!" wrote an e-mail from Ms. Lynn Ling Yang to us.

After taking a look at the WBTI's website, Ms. Savina Kao wrote to us that "It is great to get to know you and your wife on Sunday. Now I know why John becomes such an outstanding young man. :) It's also wonderful to know that your organization has been serving the community and our country. I hope we will get a chance to chat again on Sundays."

The Coffee/Tea Fellowship of the four Sundays in August, 2006 were highlightened by the "to serve and to give heartily" of Lei's family: John helped promote the Sevice and Fellowship. Judy coocked the whole things of the "Chau Mien" (chau noddles) and prepared the salad. Tony has inspired the the spirit and value of the English Service and Fellowship of River of Life Christian Church through publications locally, natioally, and internationally.

Miss Vivian Chao joined Judy in preparing for the food of the Coffee/Tea Fellowship. She prepared the fruits and cakes.

Ms. Elaine Tran served the food for English Service Fellowship on September 2006.

As a sincere believer of God, we found that we can even live as in the heaven in this World at the present. Whether people is living in the Heaven or in the Hell is up to his or her selection. With sincere love, you are likely to live in the Heaven. With cruel hate, you are likely live in the Hell. To fight and destroy each others for property and fame is where the place called Hell. To cooperate with each others to promote our quality of life will be the place where we people may make it as a Heaven.*11

Therfore, the Heaven is where the place full of love while the Hell is where the place full of hate. It is all depending on your heart to see whether you are in the Heaven or in the Hell. By using this standard, you may measure the quality or depth of yours in the Heaven or your in the Hell.

Accordng to the oriental (not Asian) ways of life, people would suspect the one who always find out and praise the good characters and accomplishment of others. In the many thousand years of the past, it was one of the factor that hurt the encouragement for innovation and science development for the Asian people and countries.

After a full applause by the audience at his speech, a professor automatically spoke his mind: "The people who enthusiastically give a hand to others, will certainly one day get a lot of more applauses!"

Everytime when he was encouraged and praised by an individual, Dr. Tony Lei used to remind: "The one who knows how to praise other people, is the one herself or himself having certainly lots of more goodness which are worth for us to praise for!" *12

U. S. Senator-elect John Ensign's great-grandfather first came to Nevada almost a hundred years ago as a miner and labored in its towns. This respectable man worked hard to provide for his family and taught his children the value of hard work, integrity, and independence. "The significance of life is to inspire and educate the continuous lives of the universe," said Dr. Tony Lei, President of Washington Business and Technology Institute (WBTI). People came to America to seek the American dream. Even though not all of them can realize their American dream, eventually they could teach and help their children accomplish their contributions to our country.*15

As a born-again Christian, people have been inspired by his sincererity, humbleness, and credibility much more than just his wealthy and handsome appearance now. On October 15, John attended the worship service of the Liberty Baptist Church. He offered a short speech of testifmony. He said that he was very frustrated with his first taste of political failure, when he lost by a mere 428 votes to U. S. Senator Harry Reid. However, he believes God and has surrendered his fate to God. John's faith in God helped him to overcome his frustration and disappointment and enabled him to continue to strive to succeed. The Bible says "...though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that your faith - of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire - may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed (1 Peter 1:6-7)". If a window was closed, God might re-open the window or even open a different door for those who are eager to utilize his or her knowledge and expertise to serve. As all

For many years, we taught people successfully to make money through the modern knowledge of organization and management in business. For the years to go, we will continue to encourage our friends to love the God, and to love our people, professionalism, community, and country.*16

"Incentives (of love) brings us with encouragement. Encouragement brings us with good work performance. In the 5:19 on Ecclesiastes of the Bible, it stated that 'When God gives any man (or woman) wealth and possessions, and enable him (or her) to enjoy them, to accept his (or her) lot and be happy in his (or her) work---this is a gift of God,'" said Dr. Tony Lei, President of Washington Business and Technology Institute.*17

In this 21st Century new era and society, we need economic growth and personal prosperity, but we need also to establish and promote creativity, fairness and justice, serve and love, educational knowledge, and spirit engineering. We wish that a pure fountain may prosper and enrich our splendid and silver country through: the power of public service that based on knowledge is the power of rightousness; the advancement of technology, entreprenueship, and innovation; and the spirit that knowledge calls, ultimately, for a life of service.*18

We believe the spiritual significance of "To serve and to give heartily". The English Service of River of Life Christian Church is blessing!*19
