"Through the recommendations of Nevada Supreme Court Justice, Michael Douglas, Nevada District Court Judge, Jessie Walsh, Clark County Sheriff, Bill Young, and Nevada District Court Judge, Cheryl Moss, WBTI President, Dr. Tony Lei, recently appointed Assemblywoman Valerie Weber Vice President of the Clark County District Attorney and Police Civil Commission of the Washington Business and Technology Institute (WBTI) on July 17, 2006. Ms. Weber was selected to fill this position which was previously held by Nevada State Controller, Kathy Augustine, following Kathy's untimely passing away on July 11, 2006." Dr. John Wang, Spokesperson for WBTI, Las Vegas, Nevada, U. S. A., made the announcement on Tuessday, July 18, 2006.

"George Eliot said that those who trust us, educate us. To have Dr. Tony Lei's trust is my great honor. I believe in his philosophy of education and leadership. The design and plan of CCADPCC are creative. It is now time for us to realize the mission of this important organization for assuring the existence and future of Clark County," said Assemblywoman Weber shortly after being informed of the new appointment by WBTI.

Originally from California, Nevada Assemblywoman Valerie Weber moved to Nevada in 1990. She attained an undergraduate degree in biological science, with a specialty in the field of transfusion medicine, which earned several medical journal authorships. Valerie is a 1998 graduate of the Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Las Vegas program. She was recently appointed to the Governor's Workforce Investment Board and recently completed a four-year term on the Board of Displaced Homemakers.

Valerie is the owner of Collaborating Solutions, an organizational development company that utilizes Emotional Intelligence (ECI) in developing leaders. An avid student of both Peter Senge of MIT and Daniel Goleman of Harvard University, she has working knowledge in business consulting.*1

As an active Assemblywoman and the Minority Whip of the Nevada Assembly, Valerie Weber also has been a professional member of the Public Administration Institution (PAI) of the Washington Business and Technology Institute (WBTI) for ethe past five years. She also teaches at the University of Phoenix.

Ms. Weber was also recently honored as an Advisor to the International Cities Business Council (ICBC) of the Washington Business and Technology Institute (WBTI).*2

"The Clark County District and Police Civil Commission (CCDAPCC) is the only practical organization formed since the establishment of the Pan Pacific and Asian American Forum (PPAAF) in September 28, 2001, by the Washington Business and Technology Institute (WBTI). The Executive Director of PPAAF, Bud Cranor appointed Brian Sandoval Honorary Chairman. David Roger and Bill Young were appointed Chairmen of CCDAPCC on January 2, 2003," according to Dr. John Wang, WBTI Spokesperson. This announcement was made on January 3, 2003.*3

"We look forward to team work consisting of both scientific management and human relations to promote the quality of life for all our Nevada residents and its visitors via effective communication and cooperation between the officials of the District Attorney's Office and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department , as well as the Nevada community at large," said Bud Cranor at the New Year's Eve Party

Bud Cranor was the Director of the Las Vegas Office of Governor Kenny Guinn, and he is presently serving as the Executive Director of the PPAAF of WBTI. The Conference was held by WBTI at the Steak House at Binion's Horseshoe Club on December 30, 2002, in Las Vegas. The theme of the mini conference was "Promoting A Good Community Life Through Mutual Cooperation". Bud was the Chairman of the conference.

Dr. Cora Mulliro, Owner of Desert Accident and Injury Center, came to congratulate Bud with a respectful hug in the dinner party treated by WBTI for the celebration. District Judge Cheryl Moss and Dr. An-pyng Sun were appointed as Associate Executive Director and Assistant Executive Director of the Forum by WBTI on January 22, 2002. The Forum also will hold its 'First Pan Pacific and Asian American International Concert' at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino Event Center in Las Vegas next Spring. The international Event and Cultural Concert will be presented by State of Nevada, WBTI, and 1NetBroadcast Inc. U. S. Senator John Ensign, U. S. Congresswoman Shelley Berkley, and Governor of the State of Nevada Kenny Guinn are Chairpersons of the Event. President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo of the Republic of Philippines and professional leaders of several field of expertise from many countries will attend the event. We expect about 5,000 people who will participate in the concert. The whole program will be produced for a TV show that is expected to reach 100 million famillies all around the world.
