"The survey shows 44 percent support for Berkley and 42 percent for Heller. Recent polls have, like this one, largely shown the race to be within the margin of error... Ten percent of voters remain undecided."
--National Journal, 8/17/2012
Dear Tony T.:
New numbers have Shelley at 44 percent and Dean Heller at 42 percent. This race is tied.
We all knew this race would be close. But there was one other number in the poll that's important: 10 percent of the people polled remain undecided about who they'll vote for in this election.
Those people will make the difference in this race. And Shelley’s ability to reach them will depend entirely on grassroots supporters like you.
This month, Shelley's campaign needs to raise $100,000 to reach Nevadans who don't yet know about her real record, but she's still $47,500 short. GIve $10 or more to help Shelley today.
Shelley is up against an opponent who consistently puts millionaires before the middle class, private insurance companies before women and families, and corporations before Nevada workers.
Shelley has her priorities straight. From job creation to reducing the deficit and keeping our economy growing, Shelley is a middle class champion who belongs in the Senate.
If her campaign can get that message out, she'll be unstoppable. But the far-right special interests are spending millions to muddy up the waters in Nevada, a total of more than $3.7 million attacking Shelley so far.
She needs our help to reach $100,000. There are only seven days left before the August 31st deadline. Give $10 or more today to help her reach that goal.
The polls have this race coming down to a very narrow margin. Right now we're all tied up. If Shelley is going to come out ahead, she needs all of us behind her.
I'm doing what I can to help her out. And I hope you'll help her out, too.
Thank you for all of your support.
Harry Reid
