GOVERNOR NAMES TRANSITION DIRECTOR

(Carson City) - Governor Jim Gibbons today announced the appointment of Steve Robinson as Transition Director for the Governor~{!/~}s Office. Robinson~{!/~}s main duties will focus on ensuring a smooth transition between the Gibbons Administration and the Administration of the new governor to be elected in November. Robinson served as a Senior Staff Member during the transition between Governor Robert List and Governor Richard Bryan as well as the transition between Governor Kenny Guinn and Governor Jim Gibbons.

~{!0~}I promised the people of Nevada a seamless and smooth transition between my Administration and the next one, ~{!0~}Governor Gibbons said, ~{!0~}This is a crucial time in Nevada~{!/~}s history and our citizens deserve the full uninterrupted support of their state government.~{!1~}

This Tuesday, October 12th, President Obama is joining OFA supporters at Commit to Vote House Parties across the country. Will you come to the one in Las Vegas?

Via webcast, the President will talk with all of us about the importance of our work over the next three and a half weeks, and how we'll succeed in the fall elections -- so make sure you RSVP for the house party in Las Vegas.
