A panel of speakers will discuss how the “glass ceiling” is no longer an accurate metaphor for the limits women may face. A better descriptor is a labyrinth–several paths leading to varied destinations. Three female panelists, all of whom have obtained a high position in the education sector, will discuss their perspective on the labyrinth journey. There is no charge to attend this event. At the May 2010 Board of Visitors meeting, 11 outstanding students, alumni, and faculty were recognized at the 2nd Annual George Awards for exemplifying the integrity, stewardship, courage, and compassion embodied by George L. Graziadio. Congratulations to student and alumni winners James Neas, Bruce W. Wilson (MBA ’10), Raymond “Chip” Gale (EMBA 78N), Dan Sanders (PKE 124), Yana Melnikova, Sebastian Bartl, Nick Mitchell (EMBA ’07), Sheri Osborn (MBA ’03), and Zubin Mehta (MBA ’06). The winner of the Faculty Award was Donald M. Atwater, Ph.D., and Rodney E. Boone (MBA ’04, PKE 111) received the Community Service Award. The golf tournament was held on May 10, at the Calabasas Country Club. More than 90 alumni and friends of the school played in the tournament, raising more than $10,000.
