Dear Tony T.,

It’s getting old.

Republicans in Washington still want to end Title X funding -- money designated to help fund family planning clinics like Planned Parenthood, which provide vital health services to women and families.

It seems like every time we turn around, Washington Republicans are attacking women’s health care. And instead of taking on the serious challenges facing our nation -- growing our economy, creating jobs, reducing the deficit -- we’re dragged into the same fight over and over again.

Click here today, and help me tell Republicans: It’s over. You’ve lost this fight many times. Stop attacking women’s access to health services and move on.

Republicans have tried to defund Planned Parenthood clinics before -- jeopardizing important debates in favor of a partisan agenda. And they don’t even seem to understand what the debate is really about.

It’s about cancer screenings. It’s about mammograms. It’s about prenatal care and STI treatment and contraception. Federal Title X funding is used to provide vital reproductive health services to women and families all across America. That’s what Republicans in Washington continue to assault.

We need to make it crystal clear that cutting off women’s access to vital care is unacceptable. Click here, add your voice to mine, and tell them it’s time to move on to the big challenges facing America.

It’s time we stopped rehashing the same battles we’ve already fought -- and won -- many times before. Republicans seem set on trying to drag us back to the Dark Ages when working families need leaders who will move us forward.

Spiritual Sharing this week: "Preparing for multiplication"

Our church is a cell-based church. The cell is the basic Christian community where members are build up and care for one another, using spiritual gifts and support systems. Each cell is on a mission. It is constantly in touch with the unreached, constantly ministering to them.

My hope is that we will be build up so we can be ready to multiply the group. I'm praying that God will allow our group to multiply by the end of the year. As I've shared with some people, if we aim at nothing, we will hit it everytime. Therefore, as a cell group, we need to set our goals in line with the vision of the church. We may not always get there in our own time frame, but God will lead us. To prepare for the multiplication, starting this Friday, we will have 2 discussion groups during the Word time only. We will be all together for icebreaker, worship, prayer, announcements, and refreshment. Praise the Lord! I see from last Friday's attendance that we need to move forward in this. We will have semi-random assignment of the discussion groups each week, counting off 1,2,1,2... with the mentor and one being mentored in the same group. I also believe the smaller discussion groups will facilitate more discussions and spiritual growth.

Let's continue to Rejoice always, Pray unceasingly, and Give thanks in all circumstances and we will see God's kingdom come and His will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
