Hello Friend,

Here's a friendly warning from someone who's been there: now is not the time to let up! Republicans have come from behind to win an election in the closing days before. If there was ever a moment to go all out, this is it.*1

Polls don't matter. Votes matter. We will win or lose based on how many actually cast their votes on Election Day.

<<<...
.......
.................. >>> *108

So let's get to work! We need Barack to win- but right now HE needs YOU to push him over the top and deliver a mandate for change so strong that no Roadblock Republican can resist it.

[[[ ....... . ]]] *787

Find or confirm your polling place, bring your friends with you, and make sure you vote on November 4th:

http://voteforchange.com

Because you know who else is working hard right now? John McCain is working hard. Sarah Palin is working hard. They're out there asking people for their votes. They're out there attacking Barack. We can get upset about-- or we can teach them a lesson!

They're working hard, so we need to work that much harder. If they're knocking on doors, we need to knock on three, four, five times as many more doors. If they're driving people to the polls, we need to drive five times as many people to the polls. As Senator Obama has said time and again over the past couple of weeks, you don't run to the finish line; you run through it!

Four years ago, we came so close. We are even closer now

Find out now where you have to go so you're 100% ready to vote on Election Day. Vote, then volunteer:

http://voteforchange.com

Election Day is tomorrow. Now is our time.

Let's make history together, *2

John Kerry

Nevada Governor Jim Gibbons Cleared in eTreppid Investigation!

Governor Jim Gibbons today issued the following statement regarding federal investigators concluding their investigation of his involvement in the eTreppid case and clearing him of any wrongdoing: *1

~{!0~}About two years ago, false accusations about me surfaced in the midst of some contentious litigation involving the eTreppid Company. Now, federal investigators, including the FBI, have confirmed what I have said all along. These accusations are baseless and there is not a shred of evidence showing I did anything improper.

{{{ ...
.......
....................... }}} *847

In case you haven't noticed there is a pattern of false accusations against me that become widely reported and then are proven to be absolutely untrue. I think the Lamoille tax matter and the eTreppid case are two glaring examples of bogus charges trumped up by certain biased individuals and some who wish to make political gain out of it.

[[[ ....... . ]]] *857

I am mystified and disturbed that elected leaders in this state don't seem to be able to set aside partisanship for even five minutes to come up with solutions to the problems our citizens face.

Government should meet the needs of the people, people shouldn't be forced to meet the needs of government.

I am working on ideas to get our economy back on track. I don't care where good ideas come from. To paraphrase Ronald Reagan, "You can accomplish a lot when you don't care who gets the credit."

<<< ....... . >>> *867

Right now, we need to be working together on improving the economy, attracting more tourists, getting major construction projects restarted, getting people their jobs back and creating new jobs, building geothermal power, solar power and wind power, protecting the safety of our people, educating our citizens and all the other things government should be doing to help people.

<<< ...
.......
...................... >>> *1006

No matter who ends up as our next president, we don't have time to wait for the economy to improve or the housing market to perk up or new jobs to be created. We need to take action now and Nevadans are just the people to do it. A pioneering spirit built this state. That same spirit will dig us out of the problems we are facing now. The government of the state of Nevada will help out wherever needed, and we will stay out of the way if we are not.*10

mike --

Today is Election Day.

The opportunity to set our country on a new path has never felt more real than it does right now.*1

The polls are open in most places, and people are already making their voices heard for change.

There's just one thing left to do -- vote and make sure everyone you know votes, too.

You can find or verify your polling location by looking up your most recent registration address at VoteForChange.com.

Go vote today, and make sure you take your friends and family with you.

This is the day when we have to commit to doing everything we can. We can't afford not to -- for our families, our communities, and our future.

Once you vote, you can do more than just wait as the returns come in.

You can help get every last vote for Barack by volunteering in your community or making calls from home. Help put us over the top today:

http://my.barackobama.com/november

It's not too late to knock on doors, make calls, and make sure that every one of our supporters gets to the polls today.

<<< ...
.......
....................... >>> *105

Change is within our reach. We're counting on you to get us there today.

Thank you for everything you're doing, *7

Michelle

P.S. -- If anyone you know hasn't yet made up their mind, please invite them to learn more about Barack's positions on important issues:

http://www.barackobama.com/issues

------------
VOLUNTEER: Help get out the vote. Sign up for a volunteer shift near you.

Here are some tips to help you make sure Election Day in Nevada goes smoothly:

Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. If you are in line at 7:00 p.m., you still have the right to vote as long as you remain in line.
If you're voting for the first time at your current address, you should bring a photo ID and proof of address to the polls. Acceptable forms include a Nevada driver's license, student ID, federal ID, voter identification card, current utility bill, or bank statement.
If you are not on the list at your polling place or have other problems, don't leave without voting -- you still have the right to cast a provisional ballot. Call 1-877-OBAMA-NV or find an Obama volunteer if you have questions or need help.

Look up your polling location.

Obamas take the valley by storm
While McCain is scheduled to make his first appearance in Nevada as the Republican nominee, Barack Obama made his 20th visit to the state Saturday, appearing at Coronado High School in Henderson. Senator Obama exhorted the crowd of 15,000 to keep working, and not to get complacent, before giving his ~{!0~}closing~{!1~} speech, prior to the election.*1

Senator Obama~{!/~}s wife, Michelle, spoke at the Doolittle Community Center in North Las Vegas last Monday. Mrs. Obama spoke to more than 3,000 gathered on a beautiful evening, talking about what her husband would bring to American workers and their families. Ms. Obama also talked about her family; not just talking about her husband, but also discussing her upbringing and the struggles of her father, who worked as a city employee in Chicago while fighting the ravages of Multiple Sclerosis.

Obama has the polling edge heading into Election Day
We still need your help! The election is tightening up, and we need volunteers to help get out the vote! To volunteer, go to nv.barackobama.com or call 1-877-OBAMA-NV.

A new Las Vegas Review-Journal poll shows that Barack Obama heads into Tuesday with a small lead over John McCain. The poll, conducted by Mason-Dixon, showed Obama leading 47 percent to McCain~{!/~}s 43 percent, with 8 percent still undecided. The poll was conducted last Tuesday and Wednesday. Nevada is one of several battleground states in which the poll showed a lead for Obama.

The election night party will get underway at the Brasilia Ballroom in the Rio Pavilion once the polls have closed at 7:00 p.m. Parking is available in the Rio Pavilion lot (northeast section of the property), which is most easily accessible from Twain Avenue, east of Valley View Boulevard.

Democrats, Obama campaign, fight voter suppression

After learning of a disgusting attempt to suppress Hispanic votes, Democrats are fighting back. Calls were being made to Hispanic voters who support Senator Obama, telling them that they could vote over the phone, rather than messing with lines at the polls. Of course, voting over the phone is not possible. A counter-call was created by the Obama campaign, educating voters on their rights, and that it is not possible to vote over the phone. Thousands of Hispanic voters were contacted, to make sure their votes counted, so they could help create the change our nation needs.*8 Along with Democratic efforts, Univision created a non-partisan advertisement, which will be aired through Election Day, to tell Spanish-speaking voters what they need to know about voting.

In the news: Obama fights phony Nevada phone calls http://www.kvbc.com/Global/story.asp?S=9229975&nav=15MV

Also, a nonpartisan group lead by Sen. Harry Reid, helped announce the Univision PSA and condemn the calls: http://www.fox5vegas.com/news/17852659/detail.html

I want to encourage everyone to pray for the elections today and all who can to vote. When you vote, vote prayerfully, be led by the Holy Spirit, vote with knowledge and vote the Bible. When I say vote the Bible, I mean principles and standards that the Bible mandates.*1

I want to congratulate everyone that was part of the Family Fun Fair at the Summerlin campus and Harvest 31 at the South Campus. Congratulations on the great work!

I also want to thank all the people that went to The Call in San Diego. I am very proud of all of you who were willing to give up time, energy and money to demonstrate a great army of intercessors are rising up from ICLV. I know that the impact will be eternal. More than ever we need to increase our prayer and intercession. This will enable us to claim our birthright.

I look forward to seeing all of you at early morning prayer. We've also added prayer on Sunday at 5 pm in the VIP room.

Come and experience the glory of God at our first annual Worship Conference. All of you will be equipped to access the glory of God through worship. This is an all-church event. I know that Ray Hughes is recognized as a psalmist and a prophet and I believe we are going to experience God's glory with signs and wonders. You will not want to miss this.

For more details on everything going on at ICLV, visit our web site. We love you and we'll see you in church on Wednesday for connect groups.*5

Subject: Help before the polls close

mike --

***** "....... ." ---??? *1007

There are still a few hours to make a big difference in this election.

***** Before the polls close in Nevada -- a crucial battleground state -- here's what you can do:

If you haven't already -- VOTE TODAY:

Find out where to vote

Call or email everyone you know and make sure they've voted.

Help turn out voters at a volunteer event near you:

Find the closest event

Go back to your polling location and encourage everyone to stay in line until they vote. Anyone who is in line before the polls close can cast their ballot, no matter how long the line.

If you can't leave your house, get out the vote by calling voters:

Choose the state you'd like to call
The election in your state is going to be close -- and you can help bring the change we need.

Make history right now by voting and helping others vote.

Thanks for everything you're doing,

Obama for America

---------------
VOLUNTEER: Help get out the vote.

Refresh Your Retro Resume
By Lucille Pearson

As a career coach and resume writer for Pepperdine, I am always on the look out for innovative and creative tools to help students and alumni create the most competitive, polished resumes possible. I recently learned about a new resource called VisualCV.com that I think has the potential to be a great job search tool.

We know that a potential employer makes a decision to interview you, or not, based on your resume. A traditional resume is a static document, and unfortunately, too many resumes are boring. With VisualCV, you create an online interactive portfolio that can tell your story by showcasing work samples, presentations, publications, and additional information.

It is the first website I’ve seen that allows you to do this all in one place, with privacy and control. And it is free.
Here is what I like about it:

Visually-rich format which is more compelling than a traditional resume.
Create multiple versions for different audiences and you control who sees what.
Gives job seekers the ability to stand out in the crowd by showcasing credentials and achievements, awards, licenses, accolades or testimonials.
Members of VisualCV.com can passively and privately register their interest with a particular company by sharing a VisualCV with a company member of the system, making it possible for a candidate to express interest in a company without having to become a jobseeker.
You have your own URL and can link it as a website to your cover letter, Facebook, LinkedIn profiles, etc.
Offers greater depth, breadth and substance for both job seekers and company recruiters.
Take a look and see what you think. Here is an example of a recent full-time MBA’s VirtualCV: http://www.visualcv.com/heathercrawford. If you’re interested in more information, click here http://www.visualcv.com/www/what_is_visualcv/.

No other site that I’ve seen has combined all of this capability into a single tool. This is not a replacement for your traditional resume, but you may want to consider adding it to your self-marketing repertoire.

Lucille Sanchez Pearson is the founder and president of Global Resources, Ltd. You can read about her company on her VisualCV - http://www.visualcv.com/premier/globalresources.

success story - in your words
by John Santos, MBA 2005

I had four reasons for wanting to earn an MBA: to provide diversification to my mechanical engineering background, distinguish myself from other mechanical engineers, have marketability in the future where I will have to search for a new position, and apply the knowledge gained toward entrepreneurial endeavors.

Soon after earning my MBA in 2005, I was selected to participate in a leadership training course provided by WorleyParsons, the engineering services company I was with at the time. The program included learning about one's strengths, weaknesses, and personality type. I always knew engineering was not quite a fit for me and discovered in this program that my personality type was more in tune with a career in psychology, counseling, and health care - areas that I did feel resonated more with me.

This prompted me to do some career exploration and eventually led me to life coaching. Wow! From engineer to life coach; from technical to emotional!

I went for it and completed formal training in 2007 with CTI, The Coaches Training Institute.

During this same year of attending coach training, a former employer, knowing I had earned an MBA, asked me to return as a Discipline Lead Engineer with Fluor Corporation, leading a team of mechanical engineers. Talk about bridging the gap! My team consists of both new graduates and very seasoned senior engineers - engineers just starting their careers and those looking forward to retirement.

I accepted the challenge of leading a diverse group composed of both new graduates and seasoned senior engineers. I get to apply my mechanical engineering knowledge, MBA experience, and life coach training to lead, encourage teamwork and knowledge sharing, and develop all around career/life fulfillment among team members. By listening and having a genuine interest in what my team members want to accomplish, they feel valued and are more engaged in being a productive team member. And, by applying the coach's perspective that all team members are creative, resourceful and whole, leading a team is more productive and effective.

I also established my own life coaching practice, working with engineers and those in other technical fields, to help them accomplish their own goals, as I did. Looking at my career growth over the years, I see that getting my MBA was a great step in the right direction. Now I can provide supportive coaching for individuals wanting to make positive change in their lives.*8

248. The Day We Change Everything!

<<< To WBTI, on Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at 6:52 AM ^^^From: "Titus for Congress" {info@dinatitus.com} >>>

Dear Tony,

Election Day is finally here. Everything we have worked for over the past six months comes down to our efforts today to get voters to the polls. I can~{!/~}t thank you enough for your support and hard work, but we have one more hill to climb.*1

Remember to go vote today. Tell all of your family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers that their vote today can change our future tomorrow. You have helped me spread my message of change across the Third District. Now I ask you to help me cross the finish line by getting out the vote.

If you can volunteer any of your time over the next 12 hours, please stop by my office at 3711 E. Sunset Road or call 702-256-3462. This race will be very close and every vote will count, so don~{!/~}t forget to cast your ballot today!

As always, THANK YOU for your support.

Sincerely,

(Autograph)
