[[[ Just arrives upon the scene! To be continued ... ]]] ("From the searches of 'REMEBERING SEPTEMBER 11TH by U. S. Senator Harry Reid', 'ON THE ROAD IN NEVADA by U. S. Senator Harry Reid', etc., we've learned that the following one which published by WBTI is his second article about the concerns shown by the leading search engines on Internet," announced Spokesman Dr. John Wang of WBTI at 5:58 p.m on September 11, 2007 in Las Vegas, Nevada.)REMEBERING SEPTEMBER 11TH ---What I remember most was how our nation stood as one! I invite you to share with me any concerns you have by visiting my website (HTTP://REID.SENATE.GOV) By Harry Reid*1 Six years ago today, 2,974 men, women and children became innocent victims to a cowardice and hatred that we will never fully understand. I remember watching that day from the windows of the Capitol as smoke from the Pentagon pierced the clear air. I remember the care taken amidst the panic to ensure that everyone was evacuated safely when word came of another plane heading our way. I remember how members of Congress joined together to sing "God Bless America" on the Capitol steps to show our country that its government was still whole.*2 But what I remember most was how our nation stood as one. In Nevada and across the country people stood in long lines to give blood. Food and clothing banks were overflowing with donations. And thousands of Nevadans gave money -- many giving more than they could afford -- to help families who had lost everything. And as our country stood as one, the world stood with us. The headline of one European newspaper read: "We Are All American." We must always remember the innocent lives we lost six years ago today and the burden we bear for the freedom we cherish. Yet we must always remember the endless well of compassion and rejection of despair that followed. These past six years, we have faced great challenges. And though our scars will never fully heal, our spirit will never be broken. -------------- ON THE ROAD IN NEVADA I spent most of the month of August traveling throughout Nevada talking with people about the most pressing issues facing our state. Lovelock, Winnemucca, Ely, Elko, Pahrump and Laughlin were just a few of the stops I made as I hosted town halls all across the Silver State. I appreciate the hundreds of Nevadans who took time out of their day to attend these events and talk to me about what was on their minds. Nevadans made it clear they want to change course in Iraq, strengthen our schools, improve our roads so people can make it to work more quickly and safely, increase access to affordable health care, and address the lack of affordable housing. We also talked about Nevadas energy future and the need to reduce our reliance on dirty fossil fuels like oil and coal. As many of you know, I have a vision of creating thousands of Nevada jobs and protecting our air and water by making Nevada the leader in renewable energy. I recently announced my opposition to three proposed coal plants in Nevada and the need to focus our efforts on developing our states vast solar, wind, and geothermal potential. Learn more about my position here. Last week Congress returned to Washington. In that first week, the Senate passed legislation making higher education more affordable for Nevadans, and a bill that invests in our military and supports our veterans who have served our nation so honorably. This week, I look forward to passing a bill that will steer nearly $20 million to Nevada for vital transportation and housing projects. And later this month we will work on final passage of a bill that will expand access to affordable health care for Nevadas children. I took to heart what the people of Nevada told me as I traveled throughout our state and I want you to know that I will continue to leverage my leadership position to make Nevada an even better place to live and raise a family. As always, I invite you to share with me any concerns you have by visiting my website (HTTP://REID.SENATE.GOV).*3 Sincerely, Harry Reid -------------------------------------------- References *1. About U. S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid: U. S. Senator Harry M. Reid is the Majority Leader (the Democratic Leader) in the U. S. Senate. He is a man who commands the respect of colleagues from both parties, and a powerful advocate for Nevadas middle-class families. But he still lives in Searchlight and he is still guided by the lessons and values he learned there. The Las Vegas Sun newspaper summarized Reids story by saying that he has gone from underdog to Senates top dog.?Parade Magazine, the nations largest weekly magazine, identified Senator Reid as one of a handful of leaders in Washington with integrity and guts.? Since Nevadans elected him to the Senate in 1986, Harry Reid has developed a reputation as a consensus builder and a skillful legislator. Even his Republican colleagues praise his reasoned, balanced approach. Senate Judiciary Chairman Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) has said, We all respect Senator Reid. He is one of the moderate voices around here who tries to get things to work.? And former GOP Leader Trent Lott said, Harry Reid is out there finding a solution. I enjoy working with him very much.? He was elected to the Senate in 1986, and re-elected in 1992, 1998 and 2004. He has served as the chairman or senior Democratic member on several important committees and subcommittees. Reid is a tireless worker, and it isnt unusual for him to be the first Senator of either party to arrive at the Capitol in the morning and the last to go home at night. *2. Reid, Harry. Elaine is a distinguished Asian American leader in the world. She respects her late mother Ruth as 'a noble and eternal wife, a selfless and offering mother, a philanthropist full of love, and an Asian culture scholar'. The following article has had a vivid and literate writing about her heartily love ("Shiao" in Chinese) to her mother. It is posted here through the courtesy of WBTI's website (http://communitylink.reviewjournal.com/lvrj/wbti):*7 ***** Life is meant to be a never-ending education, and when this is fully appreciated, we are no longer survivors but adventurers. ---David McNally, Even Eagles Need a Push The originality of this article was published in this section on August 5, 2007.*1 The Advisory Board and faculty members join with President Dr. Tony Lei of WBTI in mourning its Chairperson Elaine Chao's mother Mrs. Ruth Chu Chao and praying for her and the family heartfeltly. "Dear Dr. Lei, Very sorry to hear the sad news. I made a few grammatical and spelling changes below. Hope this helps. Sincerely, Judge Moss," wrote Nevada District Court Judge Cheryl Moss to Washington Business and Technology Intstitute (WBTI) early in the morning on August 7, 2007 (Tue, 7 Aug 2007 05:58:44 -0700) in Las Vegas, Nevada.*2 Judy and Tony were very sad to learn yesterday (8/04/07) evening that U. S. Secretary of Labor Elaine Chao's mother Mrs. Ruth Mu-lan Chu Chao passed away in the afternoon on August 2, 2007. President George Bush called Elaine's family twice. In comforting, George reminded her father Dr. James S. C. Chao, Chairman of Foremost Group that, "Elaine is the one who serves the longest time as a Secretary of U. S. Department." According to Elaine's mouring message to the passing of her mother, she respects her mother Ruth as "a noble and eternal wife, a selfless and offering mother, a philanthropist full of love, and an Asian culture scholar." "From the difficult years after mariage to raise several daughters, thorugh her courage, diligence, and accomplishment to receive her master degree, until the development and prosperity of their family, U. Wish the soul of Ruth in heaven is respectfuly mourned and the family of her survived ones are highly blessed! The elegant funeral ceremony was in good planning and implementing. "҂ڴ\ظx@ηdzreo҂cHт," wrote the Secretary of U. S. Department of Labor (ڹLwСm).*12 "Every memorable act in the history of the world is a triumph of enthusiasm. Nothing great was ever achieved without it because it gives any challenge or any occupation, no matter how frightening or difficult, a new meaning. Without enthusiasm you are doomed to a life of mediocrity but with it you can accomplish miracles." ---Og Mandino (1923-1996, Speaker and Author)*13 "Dear Dr. and Mrs. Lei: Since I shall be in Washington, D.C., I believe that I shall be constantly reminded of the ideals that are the subject of the messages and quotations contained in your correspondence, particularly those about vision, enthusiasm, and assistance," wrote Nevada District Judge Mark R. Denton to President Dr. Tony T. Lei of Washington Business and Technology Institute (WBTI) and his wife Judy on June 18, 2007 in Las Vegas, Nevada.*14 "I hope that you are both doing well and that you will enjoy the upcoming event and keep me informed about your excellent projects. Thank you so much for thinking of me and keeping me posted. Very truly yours, Mark R. Denton." "The Board of Trustees of St. John's University joins with the entire University community in mourning the passing of Ruth Mulan Chu Chao. The cherished mother of United States Secretary of Labor Elaine L. She has also established several foundations that provide scores of scholarships annually in her native land of China. Touching us with her grace and dignity, she and her family are in our thoughts and prayers in this time of sorrow," stated Thomas E. McInerney, Chair, Board of Trustees, and Donald J. [[[ The most quick news! To be continued ... ]]] ("By searching from the leading search engines on Internet, this is the most quick feature article in response to Bill Clinton's e-mail to WBTI besides the two from the east city of U. S. early in the morning on September 6, 2007!" pointed out District Court Judge of Nevada Cheryl Moss and the e-mail receiver Judy.) Mind if I drop in? I still learn the most when I sit down to a meal with Hillary! By Bill Clinton Dear judy, I hear you might be having lunch with Hillary -- do you mind if I drop in? I've met some of the greatest people of our time from every walk of life. But of all the people I have ever shared a table with, I still learn the most when I sit down to a meal with Hillary. There's no one smarter, no one better informed, and no one whose conversation I enjoy more. So if you have the chance to sit down and talk with Hillary -- like you do right now -- you don't want to miss it. That's why I'm going to join the two of you. I know Hillary would be the best president, and you know she's ready to change America. So why not help her win today? The campaign will choose one supporter to have lunch with Hillary and me -- along with a guest -- and if you make a contribution by midnight Friday, September 7, it might just be you. Click here to make a contribution. I can't think of two better reasons to give to Hillary's campaign than these two. First, America needs her leadership. Talk with just about anybody -- Democrat, Republican, or Independent -- and you can sense it: people are ready for change. They're sick of the "my way or the highway" arrogance of the last seven years. Hillary's ready to change all that. She will restore America's standing in the world and our faith in our own government. You'll know that your leaders are fighting for you again -- because she has fought for ordinary people all her life. It's who she is. Second, if you give between now and Friday, you and your guest could have a meal and a conversation with Hillary. And I'll be joining you. So will you help Hillary change America with a contribution today? Click here to make a contribution. Last weekend, Hillary and I were on the campaign trail together in Iowa and New Hampshire. We met Ron Wood, who traveled to Iowa from Atlanta to campaign with us after signing up on the website as Hillary's one millionth supporter. We had a great time meeting Ron -- I even surprised his mother and sister by calling them from Iowa. We also met Michelle Smith, a sixth-grade teacher from Michigan, who told Hillary how proud she was that she can now tell her students that they can be anything they want to be. It has always been my favorite part of campaigning -- meeting people and talking with them about their lives. Thirty-six years ago, Hillary and I started a conversation, and it hasn't stopped since. I hope you'll join our conversation for a day. If you make a contribution by Friday and help Hillary's campaign make history, you might just be sitting down to lunch with the two of us soon. Trust me, you don't want to miss it. Sincerely, Bill Clinton [From an e-mail by Bill Clinton to Washington Business and Technology Institute (WBTI) in Thu, 6 Sep 2007 13:35:02 -0400 (EDT) on September 6, 2007.] ------------------------------------------- About former U. S. President Bill Clinton: William J. Clinton was the 42nd President of the United States of America. Clinton had served nearly twelve years as the 50th and 52nd Governor of Arkansas. "During the administration of William Jefferson Clinton, the U.S. enjoyed more peace and economic well being than at any time in its history. He was the first Democratic president since Franklin D. Roosevelt to win a second term. He could point to the lowest unemployment rate in modern times, the lowest inflation in 30 years, the highest home ownership in the country's history, dropping crime rates in many places, and reduced welfare rolls. He proposed the first balanced budget in decades and achieved a budget surplus. As part of a plan to celebrate the millennium in 2000, Clinton called for a great national initiative to end racial discrimination." *1 "President Clinton excelled as a student and as a saxophone player and once considered becoming a professional musician. As a delegate to Boys Nation while in high school, he met President John Kennedy in the White House Rose Garden. The encounter led him to enter a life of public service. He was graduated from Georgetown University and in 1968 won a Rhodes Scholarship to Oxford University. He received a law degree from Yale University in 1973. In 1975, he married Hillary Rodham, a graduate of Wellesley College and Yale Law School," stated the Profile. "Clinton and his running mate, Tennessee's Senator Albert Gore Jr., then 44, represented a new generation in American political leadership. For the first time in 12 years both the White House and Congress were held by the same party. But that political edge was brief; the Republicans won both houses of Congress in 1994. In the world, he successfully dispatched peace keeping forces to war-torn Bosnia and bombed Iraq when Saddam Hussein stopped United Nations inspections for evidence of nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons. He became a global proponent for an expanded NATO, more open international trade, and a worldwide campaign against drug trafficking. He drew huge crowds when he traveled through South America, Europe, Russia, Africa, and China, advocating U.S. style freedom." *2 *1. The White House of President George W. Bush. Let's do lunch So let's work together to make it a reality! By Hillary Rodham Clinton Dear judy, Let's do lunch. Let's talk, you and me -- about whatever you'd like. Our hopes. Our goals. Our work. The weather. Maybe even politics. I think it would be fun to have you over for lunch, at my table, in my home in Washington. You and I both know that we need a serious change of direction in this country. So let's sit down for a meal and talk about exactly the best way to make that change a reality. Of course, that change can't happen if we don't win. So I'm asking you today to demonstrate your commitment to real change by supporting my campaign with a contribution. We're going to choose one supporter to come to my house in DC, along with a guest, to share lunch and talk. And if you contribute between now and midnight Friday, September 7, it could be you. Click here to make a contribution. My favorite part of being on the campaign trail is talking to people one-on-one, in their homes or their workplaces, learning about their lives and the challenges they face every day. I recently had a chance to share dinner with Las Vegas nurse Michelle Estrada and her family in her home. We talked about her long hours at work and her concerns for her daughter, who is heading off to college this fall. (I sure remember that feeling!) I had such a wonderful time eating, talking, and laughing with Michelle and her family. There's so much I want to do as president for families like Michelle's: help them pay for college and protect the basic American dream of owning a home. Now I want you to come to my home, share a meal, and tell me about your life, your family, your concerns, and how we can work together to change America. But first I need to ask for your help. I cannot win this race without you, without your support and your commitment to our campaign. There is no better way for you to get involved today than to make a contribution to my campaign. If you contribute by Friday, you might just have lunch with me at my home in Washington. Click here to make a contribution. I wish I could invite every single one of the more than one million people who are supporting my campaign -- but I don't think you'd all fit! Besides, we're building this campaign through person-to-person contact -- not just the conversation I hope to have with you, but also the conversations you have with family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers everyday. Together, we're making history. Will you help my campaign make history today? Make a contribution by Friday, and you and I might be sharing a meal. Click here to make a contribution. I'm really looking forward to this conversation. I'll pick up the groceries before you get there. Let's sit down and talk about how to change America! Sincerely, Hillary Rodham Clinton [From an e-mail by Hillary Clinton to WBTI at {Tue, 4 Sep 2007 13:19:58 -0400 (EDT)} on September 4, 2007.] -------------------------------------------- About U. S. Senator Hillary Clinton: Hillary Rodham Clinton is a United States Senator of New York. As a Senator, she has continued her advocacy for children and families and has been a national leader on homeland security and national security issues. She is married to Bill Clinton, the U. S. 42nd President. From 1993 to 2001, Hillary was the First Lady of the United States. As a candidate in the 2008 United States presidential election, she has consistently been the front-runner in polls for the Democratic nomination. During her years as First Lady of the United States, she was successful in several areas, such as establishing the Children's Health Insurance Program in 1997. Hillary's commitment to health care for every American has never wavered. She was instrumental in designing and championing the State Children's Health Insurance Program, which has provided millions of children with health insurance. She battled the big drug companies to force them to test their drugs for children and to make sure all kids get the immunizations they need through the Vaccines for Children Program. Immunization rates dramatically improved after the program launched. Her 1995 book "It Takes A Village," about the responsibility we all have to help children succeed, became an international best seller. The Lady has donated the proceeds -- more than a million dollars -- to children's causes across the country. Her autobiography, "Living History," was also a best seller. The book has been translated into 12 languages and sold over 1.3 million copies. In 2000, Hillary was elected to the United States Senate from New York. As Senator, Hillary has continued her advocacy for children and families and has been a national leader on homeland security and national security issues. U. S. Honoring achievement in Nevada Thank you again, and I was privileged to receive the first annual Nevada Renewable Energy Leadership Award! By Dr. Dina TitusDear Tony, Thank you again for the kindness youve shown my family and me these past weeks. In honor of my fathers memory, Ive been active since my return from Georgia. On August 18, I gave the keynote luncheon address at the annual leadership meeting of the National Womens Political Caucus held in Las Vegas. Recognizing that this election cycle will be critical, women from around the country met to discuss policy issues, campaign tactics, and advocacy strategies for promoting an agenda favorable to women and children. That evening, I was privileged to receive the first annual Nevada Renewable Energy Leadership Award from the American Solar Energy Societys Southern Nevada Chapter for my efforts over the years to promote the development of renewable energy. It was a wonderful evening at Cilis with lots of friends from the green community. Steve Ripka hosted the festivities, and I was proud to share the recognition with Chris Brooks of Bombard Electric, who is building a 15 megawatt PV solar project at Nellis. On another front, I was also recognized by the Nevada Womens Fund on August 30 in Reno with a thousand dollar scholarship named for me. The recipient, Lacey Siebert, is a nursing student at the University of Nevada, Reno. Incidentally, the scheduled keynote speaker, Dr. Frida Hulka, was delayed in surgery so I got to pinch hit. The Womens Fund is an extremely influential organization on the Nevada political and social scene. In addition to awarding 115 scholarships this year alone, it is also active in womens health issues as well as efforts to prevent violence against women. On top of all that, school has started so Im back in the classroom at UNLV. Stop by and say hello if youre on campus. Walsh, Dr. Archie H. Chang, Cheryl B. Moss, and Tiffany Chang***** "Great discoveries and improvements invariably involve the cooperation of many minds. Today, the key to success is one's ability to exercise peer leadership. The most successful individuals shine because of their ability to influence, empower, and energize others. In essence, they embody the principles and practices of Winning Ways." *7 In this 21st Century new era and society, we need economic growth and personal prosperity, but we need also to establish and promote creativity, fairness and justice, serve and love, educational knowledge, and spirit engineering.
