Nevada Governor Jim Gibbons today (060608) called for a meeting of Nevada�s Congressional delegation and state officials fighting the Yucca Mountain project to ensure all opponents are coordinating their efforts to combat the project most effectively.*1
A preliminary list of invitees will include Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto, Agency for Nuclear Projects Executive Director Bob Loux, Conservation and Natural Resources Director Allen Biaggi, Nevada Division of Environmental Protection Administrator Leo Drozdoff, State Water Engineer Tracy Taylor, Public Safety Director Jerry Hafen, Health and Human Services Director Mike Willden and Nevada�s Congressional delegation.
�Now that the Department of Energy has submitted its application for Yucca Mountain to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, it�s essential that we are all on the same page in fighting this project,� Gibbons said. �We have many talented people objecting to Yucca for a wide variety of reasons. I simply want to be sure that we coordinate our efforts to maximize our chances to defeat this misguided project once and for all.�
The DOE on June 3 filed an application for construction authorization for Yucca Mountain with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. The State of Nevada, through the Attorney General�s office, has already filed a petition to reject the application because it is unauthorized and substantially incomplete.
With the many threats Yucca poses to the health and safety of the people of Nevada, the Governor said it�s important to keep a unified front in the fight against the project.
�There are too many problems with this project to list, whether it�s the potential for groundwater contamination, the fed�s inability to safely transport high-level nuclear waste or the federal government�s profound encroachment on state�s rights,� the Governor said. �We must continue the fight against this ill-conceived project, and I look forward to sitting down with everyone to ensure we�re doing everything we possibly can to protect health and economic well-being of all Nevadans.�
The Governor hopes to convene the meeting in the coming weeks.*5

Chairman Paul Wang of the Mission to China, Kyrgyzstan, and ROC (Taiwan) has completed his peace and short-term mission to China and Kyrgyzstan successfully. Paul has been back to Beijing from Kyrgyzstan early last week. He arrived Taiwan from Beijing yesterday. MCKT Vice Chairman Don Laing is leading a team to join Paul on June 11, 2008. Don, a Caucasian American with his last name from Scotland, praised Barack Obama at his preaching on June 1, 2008. We have created slogans effectively. Obama's "Re-open" to Taiwan may play an important role as "Change" to the national democratic party's preliminary campaign.

Krolicki has been our bright leader, International Cities Business Council (ICBC) is now on the way for the fortune of cooperation on Tourism, Entertainment, and Convention with Pacific and Asian countries.

- A Pepperdine Love Story
In this edition of our newsletter we turn our focus to include activities outside the realm of career related successes and include a different type of success.
Judy Ahl and Ramiro Perez met at Pepperdine University during one of the Executive MBA orientation sessions. They went their separate ways and decided to enroll into the program; it was more than
a coincidence when they found themselves sitting together in the same class once again.
Soon they began dating and found their relationship to be a big support throughout the program. Judy and Ramiro take education very seriously and made a promise to each other: their relationship was not to interfere with the team dynamics and with school.
They both completed the Executive MBA program and earned their degrees this past December 2007. They feel very blessed and thankful that God gave them this opportunity to be a part of the MBA program, as well as meet each other. They also made life long friends with other classmates.
Judy and Ramiro are engaged to be married this year and are looking to make Pasadena, California their new home. They have successful careers in the fields of entertainment and pharmaceuticals, respectively. ]]] *4

Nevada Governor Jim Gibbons today announced that Major Derek Routt of Las Vegas, a Nevada Air National Guard Pilot currently assigned to the 65th Aggressor Squadron at Nellis Air Force Base, has been selected as a pilot member and the operations officer of the United States Air Force Flight Demonstration Squadron, also know as The USAF Thunderbirds.*1
�This is the first time ever that an Air National Guard Pilot has been chosen to fly with this prestigious team, and it is only fitting that a Nevada guardsman was the first one selected,� the Governor said. �As the commander-in-chief of the Nevada Guard, I am so proud of Major Routt and the entire Nevada Air Guard. As a former fighter pilot myself, I know how good you have to be to be a Thunderbird. Our guardsmen are the best of the best.�
Major Routt started his career in the active duty as a nuclear missile launch officer in Air Force Space Command. He then cross-trained to aviation where he has had tours in Japan, Florida, Texas and Nevada as an F-15 and F-16 fighter pilot. Major Routt transitioned to the Nevada Air National Guard in 2006 and is currently a flight examiner flying F-15s with the 65th Aggressor Squadron and 232 Operations Squadron, Nellis AFB.
�This is a tremendous opportunity for both myself and the National Guard,� Routt said. �I can�t begin to explain the feeling of pride I have in my selection as a Thunderbird. I�d like to thank the entire leadership of the National Guard for all their support.�
The Nevada Air National Guard is made up of three major units. The two located in Reno are the 152 Air Wing (AW) and the 152 Intel Squadron (IS), and the one in Clark County is the Total Force 232 Operations Squadron (OS) located at both Nellis and Creech AFB.
�I would also like to thank Brigadier General Stephen L. Hoog, the commander of the Air Warfare Center at Nellis, and Lt. Gen. Craig McKinley, the Director of the Air National Guard, both of whom are tremendous military leaders,� the Governor said.*2
